Quakers are a Protestant trend in Christianity that was formed in England during the English bourgeois revolution. The peculiarities of this direction include the fact that Quakers hold prayer meetings for communion with God not in churches, but in fact, in ordinary rooms called Quaker Meeting Houses. At present, there is practically no research on the development of space-planning solutions for Quaker meetings houses, including developments in the design of engineering equipment for such types of buildings. Information was collected and analyzed on the need to design specific premises for comfortable holding of Quaker prayer meetings. The analysis was carried out according to the following criteria: the total area of the objects of the Quaker prayer meeting; availability of basic meeting rooms; availability of auxiliary premises; necessary engineering equipment; architectural and urban planning appearance of the building (including the building facades); urban planning situation, taking into account the improvement of territories. There were developed block- layout diagrams of premises for various functional purposes, a variant of space-planning solutions of a house for holding prayer meetings of Quakers in Russia, a draft proposal for its architectural appearance, as well as options for various systems of engineering equipment of buildings to ensure high comfort requirements.

The urban planning and evaluation literature suggests that making a walkable city means creating a resilient and healthy city. In recent years, alternative mobility has been the subject of numerous studies, showing that the concept of urban walkability can be used as an additional support in planning resilient cities. Though researchers agree that walkability assessment has a positive impact on public space planning, it is still difficult to include the topic in planning strategies because of its novelty in the scientific debate. This paper will first review the literature on walkability assessment and then propose a multi-methodological assessment framework that fills the gaps in existing assessment methods. The multi-methodological assessment framework contributes to overcoming the idea that objective and subjective aspects are “not part of the same planning project.” Thanks to its combination of hard and soft methods, the assessment framework illustrated in this paper can consider physical and perceptual aspects simultaneously and represent them visually using Geographic Information Systems (GIS). It can thus provide easily readable results that can be applied in establishing guidelines for planning resilient cities.

The article discusses the current problems of the design of space-planning solutions for buildings, as well as in the field of urban planning, design and art using information technology. The possibilities of the most common software packages for computer graphics, automated drawing and design are considered. Currently, IT-technologies are indispensable in the field of management. People holding managerial positions thanks to information technology simplify their work, gain potential, and improve the professionalism and qualification of workers. In the same way, the spheres of architecture, urban planning, design and art are filled with IT technologies. In construction, they are used quite widely, for example, in the design of buildings and structures, the calculation of the materials used, in the preparation of automatic statements and much more. They are also used no less than the above-mentioned areas. Next, we will consider IT-technologies separately in each of these areas.

The article discusses the main aspects of the formation of the planning structure of the central part of Tyumen relative to the localization of the administrative center of the city. The problems associated with the features of forming the urban planning fabric in the historical part of the city are identified. When it becomes necessary to form a new administrative center of the city, an analysis of examples of space-planning decisions from foreign and domestic practice is given. The analysis reveals the features of the formation of administrative and business centers of cities such as Berlin, Brussels, Nur-Sultan, Moscow and Perm. The causes and patterns, as well as social, historical political conditions that determine the nature of the planning structure and architectural environment of the new administrative and business centers are investigated. The article systematizes the main models and ways to solve the issues of localization of new administrative and business centers, their connection with the existing architectural and planning fabric of the city, the construction of their spatial environment and the features of functional zoning. The positive and negative aspects of the experience in building new administrative and business centers identified in the process of their functioning are determined. The most acceptable options for the formation of a new center for the placement of administrative and managerial structures in the city of Tyumen (based on the analysis and evaluation of the considered examples) have been identified, which will ensure the uniform growth of urban planning entities in the future and ensure the stable coordinated functioning of all urban infrastructure systems.

A modern composition of industrial and utility enterprises, intended for placement in the modern structure of large urban formations, is considered in the study. By the example of the planning design of a large urban territory of Moscow, a set of unresolved problematic issues characteristic of modern urban planning practices associated with the unsatisfactory architectural, planning and transport organization of public utilities in relation to public residential areas of the city is revealed. A fundamentally new methodical approach to the design of urban utility enterprises based on the formation of cooperative industrial and utility complexes as part of groups of specialized low-waste modular-type enterprises intended for system placement in the structure of developing cities is proposed.Subject of study: the problems of planning design of modern urban development and urban facilities for industrial and utility purposes. Results: a number of problems are identified in the system of industrial and utility facilities of large urban formations in Russia; a number of architectural and urban planning measures, potentially leading to the improvement of the functioning of the system of such objects, are proposed; a model of the functional design of an interdistrict industrial and utility complex (IIUC) of a new type is proposed as part of a number of technologically-connected industrial facilities and a system of economic interrelations with designated territories of the supported residential development of the city.
