Philosophy as a project is defined by us in practical terms, as a form of spiritual activity, spiritual practice aimed at posing, analyzing, and resolving various worldview issues related to the development of a holistic view of a person and his place in the world. The article presents the main characteristics of the philosophical project of self-knowledge, consisting in self-awareness in the present, in personal self-determination and self-transformation. These characteristics are also applicable to the educational process. The article summarizes the practical experience of building up the process of teaching philosophy based on scientific ignorance. The main factors of this process are personal interest, successful self-realization, the role of a mentor and a friendly environment. The main method is dialogue, clarifying the basic relationship of a person with being. In this context, philosophizing fulfills a therapeutic function, becoming a practice of “self-care”.

Investigated are possibilities and features of using the iterative approach, when teaching at university. The article reviews and analyzes data of scientific publications and generalized practical experience. It is shown, that the iterative approach naturally follows from modern teaching concept: “self-study — solution — check — correction”. The importance of closing feedback loop and multiple attempts to obtain correct solution in an iterative approach is noted. Considered is change in the role of teacher in the context of the iterative approach; features of self-study by students of educational material, organization of checking correctness of the task, problems of creating necessary motivation for learning and possibility of transition to distance learning. It is shown, that the iterative approach contributes to individualization of teaching, improving degree of understanding of educational material and development of students’ thinking. In addition, the iterative approach facilitates formation of skills and abilities to rationally organize educational activities and self-master knowledge. The conclusion is made about effectiveness of using the iterative approach in university educational process.

ABSTRACT I propose a middle-ground between a perceptual model of self-knowledge, according to which the objects of self-awareness (one's beliefs, desires, intentions and so on) are accessed through some kind of causal mechanism, and a rationalist model, according to which self-knowledge is constituted by one's rational agency. Through an analogy with the role of the exercises of sensorimotor abilities in rationally grounded perceptual knowledge, self-knowledge is construed as an exercise of action-oriented and action-orienting abilities. This view satisfies the privileged access condition usually associated with self-knowledge without entailing an insurmountable gap between self- knowledge and knowledge of other minds.

This article reveals the role of educational and project activities in developing students’ research competencies in modern educational process at university. Students’ productive development is possible only with their comprehensive training for these types of activities. Insufficient theoretical, methodological, and practical development of this problem in Kazakhstani science determined the relevance of this article’s topic. The analysis of the study of theoretical sources and practical experience allows us to conclude that students are insufficiently prepared for educational and project activities in developing research competencies. Most students do not comprehend the importance of developing research competencies in educational and project activities, having a relatively general understanding of them. Therefore they practically lack the relevant skills and abilities. The direction of further research is developing a methodology for the development of students’ research competencies in project and research activities within pedagogical and musical disciplines in the university educational process.

The article deal with the problems of implementing intersubject communications of physics with the natural sciences in natural science education. The relevance, significance, goals, methods and forms of the implementation of intersubject communications of physics with the natural sciences in natural science education are established. It is shown that the only way for future teachers of physics to form deep and systematic knowledge is to prepare them for the implementation of interdisciplinary knowledge. Intersubject communication should be considered as a manifestation in the educational process of the relationship of different sciences. No single science, no matter how significant and developed it may be, can create a holistic view of the world, but can only take part in its formation. Interdisciplinary communication, acting as a bridge connecting all objects and sciences, opens up wide opportunities for the development of specific sciences and the scientific picture of the world. Therefore, interdisciplinary communication, as a prerequisite for the successful development of scientific knowledge, and as a method of searching for new results and cognition, reveals to students the way of understanding the world, and thereby ensures conceptual thinking.

The paper examines and shows the relevance of the reconstruction of architectural monuments at the present stage. Moreover, methodological techniques of historical heritage reconstruction, including using computer technology, are thoroughly analyzed. Scientific publications and data on the topic of virtual reconstruction of architectural monuments are closely studied. The role of literary and documentary descriptions of historical monuments is defined as the main method used in virtual reconstruction. As a result of an in-depth analysis of the issue, it is predicted that the virtual method of reconstruction will become the leading scientific and research system for the restoration of historical and cultural heritage. It enhances the level of scientific research by involving more researchers in the study of architectural monuments of the past. Conceptual methods and the possibility of their introduction into programs of educational institutions of the architectural profile are considered. Technical accessibility and availability of the results of academic research will provide one with an opportunity to become familiar with the architectural monuments of other countries. Moreover, virtual reconstruction creates the basis for the formation of virtual museum spaces, which contributes to the enhancement of the intellectual and educational process on the global level.

Plotinus’ philosophical project includes an important Socratic element. Plotinus is  namely interested in both self-knowledge and care of soul and self.  In this study I examine how through his interpretation of three passages from Plato (Timaeus 35 a, Phaedrus 246 band Theatetus 176 a-b), Plotinus develops an account of the role of care in his ethics.  Care in Plotinus’ ethical thought takes three forms. First of all, care is involved in maintaining the unity of the embodied self.  Secondly, situated in a providential universe, our souls – as sisters to the world soul - take part in the providential order by caring for ‘lower’ realities.  Finally, Plotinus develops an ethics of going beyond virtue, a process which involves care for the higher, potentially divine, self.

The article deals with the problem of forming the autocompetence of a preschool teacher as a universal characteristic as a part of the structure of professional competence. The article substantiates the idea of the role of auto competence in the dynamic adaptation of the teacher in modern educational realities. The formation of auto competence is presented in the form of a step-by-step model that reveals the logic of the process based on objectively existing contradictions between the understanding of the importance of increasing the level of awareness of the subject’s own personality, and insufficient knowledge of a specific set of means and conditions that motivate him to self-knowledge. The authors trace the features of the formation of auto-competence at each of the stages described in the study. The article summarizes the practical experience of implementing the program for the auto competence formation into the process of psychological and pedagogical support of teachers.

How is introspection related to accurate self-perception? Self-focused attention is said to facilitate accurate judgments of cognitive aspects (attitudes, standards, and attributions) and somatic aspects (sensations, arousal, physical symptoms, emotions) of self. The present skeptical review concludes that the “perceptual accuracy hypothesis” is unsupported. There is simply little direct evidence, and the indirect evidence is better explained by objective self-awareness theory's core tenet: Self-focus increases consistency motivation. Most studies have also failed to appreciate the complexity of establishing the accuracy of self-judgment. The authors discuss some conceptual issues that future work should recognize, such as the logics of accuracy research, the role of honesty standards in accurate self-reports, differences in self-perception and object perception, and the implications of different self-theories for accuracy.
