The objective of this research was to investigate the effect of the learning models on learning achievement viewed from learning style types of the students. The learning models compared were PBL, GI, and classical with scientific approach model. The type of the research was quasi-experimental research with 3x3 factorial design. The population of this research was the students in grade X1 higher Secondary School in Lombok East on academic year of  2014/2015. The size of the sample was 282 students, which was taken by using stratified cluster random sampling technique. The instruments used for data collection were learning style questionnaire and mathematics achievement test. The hypothesis test used unbalance two ways analysis of variance. The results of the research were as follows. (1) the problem based learning model (PBL) and the cooperative learning model of the  group investgation (GI) type with scientific approach result in equal learning achievement in mathematics, buth both problem based learning model (PBL) and the cooperative learning model of the group investgation (GI) type give better result in learning achievement in mathematics than the classical with scientific approach. (2) the student with the high, medium, and ow independent learning levels have equal learning achievement. (3) in each of the learning models, the high, medium, and, low independent learning levels, result in the equal learning achievement. (4) in each of the independent learning levels, the problem based learning model (PBL) and the cooperative learning model of the  group investgation (GI) type with scientific approach result in equal learning achievement in mathematics, buth both problem based learning model (PBL) and the cooperative learning model of the  group investgation (GI) type give better result in learning achievement in mathematics than the classical with scientific approach.

This study aimed to describe: 1)  the effectiveness of the  PBL (Problem based Learning) and CTL (contekstual teaching and learning) in terms of students’ problem solving ability and motivation to learn mathematics; 2) the effectiveness of the PBL in comparison with the CTL  type of cooperative learning in terms of students’ problem solving ability and motivation to learn mathematics. To find out the effectiveness of the PBL and CTL in each variable, the data were analyzed using one-sample t-test at a significance level of 5%. To compare the effectiveness of the PBL and CTL, the data were analyzed using multivariate T2 Hotelling with the significance level of 5% and followed up with the univariate analysis using a with criterion bon feroni. The results of the study show that: 1) the PBL and the CTL are effective in terms of students’ problem solving ability and motivation to learn mathematics.

The paper explains about the comparison between cooperative learning methods and problem based learning using personal letter in teaching students’ ability in writing skill. Experiment study at SMA Sebelas Maret Bandung. The method of this research is experiment quasi concerning experiment class was given learning treatment by using cocoperative learning methods meanwhile control class was given learning by using problem based learning. Student ability in writing sklill is measure by questionnaire or test. Result of the research peove that student ability in writing who teach by cooperative learning methods same as the student who teach problem based learning. The T’test means that the null hypothesis accepted, there is no difference in the ability of the initial writing of the experimental class and the control class. Some difficulties of students; lack of vocabulary, can’t write content is well, hard to understand the topic, hard to answer the question, and still nervous during discussion. To solve the problems like that the teacher can be a solution. Keywords:  Cooperative Learning Methods, Problem Based Learning, Writing

The principal purpose of this investigation is to study the effect of robotic cooperative learning methodologies on middle school students’ critical thinking, and STEM interest. The semi-experimental inquiry consisted of ninety four six-grade students (forty nine students in the experimental group, forty five students in the control group), chosen by their principals. A critical thinking test was administered to evaluate the cognitive skills and STEM interest of the students. Instruction was implemented in two formats: cooperative learning and problem-based learning. The experimental group utilized robotic cooperative learning while the control group utilized problem-based learning.  After four sessions of both instruction types with both groups the findings reveal that critical thinking of students is enhanced significantly by robotic cooperative learning (P<0.01).
