Passion fruit supply chain is a concept that has a regulatory system related to product flow, information flow and financial flow in the process of distribution of passion fruits. Supply chain performance measurement is activities in order to meet customer demand or a percentage of the company's demand fulfillment activities to consumers. In general, supply chain performance measurements are carried out to determine supply chain performance in terms of cost efficiency and supply chain operating time. This measurement is done by first determining the supply chain indicators. The purpose of this study was to design a supply chain performance measurement system using a balance scorecard to identify weaknesses and advantages of the related supply chain system through the identification of key performance indicators of the passion fruit agro-industry supply chain performance. This research method uses survey methods with descriptive observational techniques. The results determined 18 relevant KPIs were used to measure the performance of the passion fruit agro industry supply chain by using a Balance Score Card and the customer perspective was the priority as evidenced by 3 KPIs in the highest order of their respective weights: 1) the level of customer satisfaction (C2) with weight 0.1098, 2) quality improvement (C1) with a weight of 0.0897 and 3) level of customer interest in environmentally friendly products (C4) with a weight of 0.0801 and the performance of the passion fruit agro-industry supply chain 4.3228 (good enough).

The purpose of this paper is the creation of a model for supply chain performance optimization and the development of a prototype of the decision support system. The study covered an efficient and agile supply chain type. The Analytic Hierarchy Process was used (AHP) for the evaluation and ranking of supply chains. The research on this topic have dealt with the evaluation and ranking of suppliers within supply chains not considering the characteristics of different types of supply chains. The contribution of this work is in the development of a new model that enables the evaluation and ranking of supply chains considering the priorities of key performance indicators in different types of supply chains, providing management with the support in decision making through simulation and the finding of optimum solutions for the specific supply chain type, as well as the possibility of evaluation and ranking of different supply chain types on the basis of weighted overall performance of each supply chain.Developed and suggested models provide company management with monitoring and control of individual key performance indicators and total supply chain performance, and in this way, become the support to the management in strategic decision making.

PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to identify the key performance indicators (KPIs) of vaccine supply chain of Universal Immunization Program (UIP) India, and measure their impact on vaccine supply chain performance improvement, so that results of this study can help the decision makers manage the activity and effectiveness of their resources in order to improve vaccine delivery performance and child immunization coverage.Design/methodology/approachThe 41 KPIs in terms of four dimension of the balanced scorecard (BSC), i.e. financial, customer, internal process and learning and growth have been identified and validated from the literature and expert’s opinions. Further, the impact of internal process and learning and growth performance indicators on the vaccine supply chain performance improvement have been evaluated using two-way assessment. The rankings obtained using two-way assessment are then compared to DEMATEL approach to validate the results.FindingsThe results from the analysis reveal that “Enhancement in employee work satisfaction” (LG3=10.08 percent), “Enhancement in professional vaccine supply chain managers and leaders” (LG2 = 6.70 percent) “Improvement in planning and coordination in the supply chain” (LG9 = 6.57 percent) are the three critical performance indicators having maximum impact on vaccine supply chain performance improvement. The decision makers should give priority to these performance indicators to improve delivery performance and immunization coverage.Social implicationsThis study focuses on the improvement in vaccine delivery performance, therefore, analysis and findings can be useful to government immunization programs of India to other developing nations to improve child immunization coverage.Originality/valueTo our knowledge, this paper is first to attempt to provide a direction to improve immunization coverage through vaccine supply chain performance indicators.

Distribution is a crucial element of whole steel products supply chain processes, while transport is very important of distribution stage because it generates the high share in total costs. Authors analyze changes in steel products distribution with rising importance of steel producer distribution sites. Then researches effects on transport effectiveness in one of the largest steel distributors in Poland have been presented. Authors pay special attention on detailed key performance indicators of transport in distribution.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to expand existing research on fulfillment systems for multi-channel retailers by combining analysis of customer expectation (CE) with economic performance (EP) aspects. Design/methodology/approach This exploratory study is based on a literature review of supply chain management and marketing combined with the results of an online questionnaire submitted to French and Chinese multi-channel retailers from two sectors. Findings The results enable the authors to identify 13 important key performance indicators (KPIs) used by multi-channel retailers for measuring e-fulfillment system performance and also to determine under which of the EP or CE criteria these KPIs might be linked. Research limitations/implications Although the sample size is limited, this research is intended to be exploratory, based on the practices of supply chain and marketing managers. Moreover, the results do not address interdependencies among the different KPIs. Practical implications E-fulfillment is a major challenge for multi-channel retailers; it is cost intensive and critical for customer satisfaction. The identified set of KPIs enables retailers to choose those relevant to their particular infrastructure. Originality/value A limited number of scholarly works have explored the operational implications of online retailing in terms of e-fulfillment in a multi-channel context. In order to manage such supply chains efficiently and effectively, traditional measures of supply chain performance need to be adapted. This study expands existing knowledge by developing measurement systems and metrics for the evaluation of supply chain performance in this context.
