The title compound, C10H5ClF2N2OS, was obtained by linking an amino heterocycle and a substituted benzoyl chloride. The dihedral angle between the two rings is 41.2 (2)° and the equalization of the amide C—N bond lengths reveals the existence of conjugation between the benzene ring and the thiazole unit. In the crystal, pairs of N—H...N hydrogen bonds link molecules into inversion dimers. Non-classical C—H...F and C—H...O hydrogen bonds stabilize the crystal structure.

The title compound, C14H11BrO, was synthesized by the reaction of 4-methylbenzophenone and bromine in carbon tetrachloride. X-ray crystal structure analysis reveals that the benzene and phenyl rings form a dihedral angle of 59.53 (6)°, and the crystal packing is stabilized by intermolecular C—H...π interactions.

In the title compound, C19H13ClF2N2O2, the conformation of the N—H bond in the amide segment isantito the C=O bond. The molecule is not planar, with dihedral angles between the central benzene ring and the outer benzene and pyridyl rings of 73.35 (7) and 81.26 (6)°, respectively. A weak intramolecular C—H...O hydrogen bond occurs. In the crystal, N—H...N, C—H...O and C—H...F hydrogen bonds lead to the formation of dimers. The N—H...N inversion dimers are linked by π–π contacts between adjacent pyridine rings [centroid–centroid = 3.8541 (12) Å] and C—H...π interactions. These contacts combine to stack the molecules along theaaxis.

The title compound, C10H13Cl2FN2O2S2{systematic name:N-[(dichlorofluoromethyl)sulfanyl]-N′,N′-dimethyl-N-p-tolylsulfamide}, is a well known fungicide. The dihedral angle between the mean plane of the dimethylamino group and that of the benzene ring is 32.3 (3)°. One Cl atom and one F atom of the dichlorofluoromethylthio group are disordered over two sets of sites with an occupancy ratio of 0.605 (9):0.395 (9). In the crystal structure, two C—H...Cl hydrogen bonds link adjacent molecules, forming dimers withR22(14) loops. C—H...O hydrogen bonds link pairs of dimers into chains along theb-axis direction. These chains are joined by an additional C—H...O contact, generating a sheet in theabplane.

In the title compound, C14H8ClNO5, the benzene rings form a dihedral angle of 19.55 (9)°. The mean plane of the central ester group [r.m.s. deviation = 0.024 Å] forms dihedral angles of 53.28 (13) and 36.93 (16)°, respectively, with the nitro- and chloro-substituted rings. The nitro group forms a dihedral angle of 19.24 (19)° with the benzene ring to which it is attached. In the crystal, molecules are linked by weak C—H...O hydrogen bonds, formingC(7) chains, which run along [100].

In the structure of the title compound, C46H37N3O4S, the planes of the two isoindoline units make a dihedral angle of 77.86 (3)°. The dihedral angles between the benzyl plane and the isoindoline units are 79.56 (4) and 3.74 (9)°. The geometry at the S atom shows a short [1.7748 (17) Å] S—Cbenzyland a long [1.8820 (15) Å] S—Ctritylbond and the C—S—C angle is 108.40 (7)°. N—C bond lengths around the azane N atom are in the range 1.454 (2)–1.463 (2) Å. he crystal packing exhibts two rather `non-classical' C—H...O hydrogen bonds that result in stacking of the molecules along theaas well as thebaxis and give rise to columnar sub-structures.

In the title compound, C10H10Cl2N2O2, the secondary amide groups are differently twisted relative to the benzene ring, with dihedral angles between the respective planes of 21.03 (2) and 81.22 (2)°. In the crystal, the molecules are connected by N—H...O and C—H...O hydrogen bonds, forming a two-dimensional polymeric network parallel to (001). One of the amide carbonyl O atoms accepts two H atoms in N—H...O and C—H...O interactions, forming anR22(6) ring motif.
