Enterprise network infrastructure has served as a vehicle on which data and information can be transferred between functional units regardless of their location. Creating the network infrastructure that enables firms and organizations to adapt to rapidly changing business needs has never been more important than now. Building the enterprise network infrastructure requires careful planning, effective design, and appropriate strategies for successful implementation. The current case study examines how a regional supermarket store chain in the retail food industry develops its enterprise network infrastructure to outperform its larger competitors. A detailed description of the evolution of the company’s enterprise network infrastructure is presented to show how the strategy of network infrastructure development has aligned with the organization’s growth strategy for the past two decades. The current case study highlights critical success factors for firms to build an effective enterprise network infrastructure that include IS planning firmly tied to critical business goals, strategic collaboration with technology vendors, and careful evaluation and selection of network services and technical details.

Social business moves beyond linear, process-driven organizations to create new, dynamic, networked businesses that focus on customer value. Enterprise network (EN) is used to support social business by maximizing current and future opportunities and facilitate network-enabled processes, which can lead to value co-creation. EN is a multi-level hypergraph model with enterprises, employees, products and other related entities. In this paper the authors refine the EN model and present the foundation of EN to support social businesses. Then they introduce a case study on China automobile supply network (CASN). For the similarity with social networks, they verify power-law and small world theories in EN with statistical results on this data set. These theories are fitful in EN, but some new characteristics exist. The structure of EN consists of star-shaped clusters and the authors extract ego networks taking suppliers and manufacturers as the ego respectively. With the structure and distribution features of EN, they present the enterprise business similarity analysis method based on common-neighbors. And they also introduce the tentative work to detect Dunbar circles in EN. To analyze the data in a more intuitional and effective way, the authors use some data visualization tools to process the data in EN.

This case study is intended to document the development of the multipurpose statewide enterprise network in the state of Arkansas. Although this case study will provide an overview of all aspects and partners involved in this development, the paper will predominantly focus on primary education in Arkansas as an anchor tenant. Primary education in Arkansas is of particular importance to the development of the current statewide interactive video network. The case study will accomplish this in four major sections: History of the state of Arkansas Enterprise Network, History of the state of Arkansas Video Network, Developing Education as a Telecommunications Anchor, and Developing Education as an Application Anchor. This initial case study is qualitative in nature and will hopefully serve as the basis for further detailed and in-depth quantitative research.

<strong>In the 21st century, entrepreneurship has already become an important power in economic development, so entrepreneurial enterprises have turned into the research hotspot in academic circles. This paper establishes the benchmark model of entrepreneurial enterprises on the basis of random network model (GERT model). Modeling and simulation are conducted by a case study of actual data about entrepreneurial enterprise growth in Nanjing, showing the probability for entrepreneurial enterprises to grow into the mature period under the influence of the current enterprise network competence. Based on this, a comparison is made with the entrepreneurial enterprise growth model established. According to the modeling and simulation, the probability for entrepreneurial enterprises to grow into the mature period is increased under the influence of enterprise network competence. Therefore, suggestions of improving the enterprise network competence of entrepreneurial enterprises are proposed.</strong>
