By utilizing the screened potential model, the spectra and decay properties of hydrogen-like mesons [Formula: see text] are studied. The calculated ratio of M1 decay widths for the D*+ and D*0 mesons is 0.0286. This result is much smaller than the data of MARK3 in 1988, but agrees with the observed data of CLEO in 1992. The result indicates that the contradiction between the calculated result and the data of MARK3 for hydrogen-like mesons in the quark model can be understood, if future experiment can confirm the data of CLEO in 1992.

A simple phenomenological potential model is suggested to describe the interaction between the constituent quarks of meson systems. Taking the spin-dependence terms in consideration modifies some previous potential models. The resonance masses and the leptonic decay widths of [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] mesons are calculated using the nonrelativistic wave equation. A comparison between the present calculations and the available experimental results are given.

On the basis of the simple strict three-body analysis the hyperspherical phenomenological potential and model wavefunction of the three-nucleon ground-state relative motion are built to be permutationally invariant. The analytical expressions for the integrated cross-sections of different three-nucleon-nuclei–nuclei diffraction interaction processes are derived with the new wavefunction presented.

The magnetic moments of the octet baryons are calculated in a chiral symmetric inde-pendent quark potential model of the form [Formula: see text] The residual interaction arising from the quark-pion coupling over and above the dominant confining one represented by this phenomenological potential, is treated as a low order perturbation. The correction due to center of mass motion is also taken into account appropriately. The results are in reasonable agreement with the experimental data.

The mass of Z′ boson is considered in a flavor-independent phenomenological potential model. We have used the low energy parameters and the estimated value so obtained is accessible to experiments at low energies.
