In order to assess the susceptibility of the quantum key distribution (QKD) systems to the hacking attack including simultaneous and frequent system self-decalibrations, we analyze the stability of the QKD transmission organized in two commercially available systems. The first one employs non-entangled photons as flying qubits in the dark quantum channel for communication whereas the second one utilizes the entangled photon pairs to secretly share the cryptographic key. Applying standard methods of the statistical data analysis to the characteristic indicators of the quality of the QKD communication (the raw key exchange rate [RKER] and the quantum bit error rate [QBER]), we have estimated the pace of the self-decalibration of both systems and the repeatability rate in the case of controlled worsening of the dark channel quality.

This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of human resource competence to quality services of import documents in PT Sarana Public Logistics Jakarta. The title of this research was appointed based on experiences that showed a decrease in the number of service users over the last five years. This research is a quantitative study using statistical testing of simple linear regression. Based on the results of the study, the data obtained the following regression equation: Y = 23.6 + 0,405X. Based on statistical data analysis, the indicators of this study are valid and variables are reliable. The results showed that the hypothesis “r hitung” was greater than r table (0.651> 0.266) with  a significance level of 6.095, so that this hypothesis was accepted and there is a positive and significant effect between human resource competence towards service quality of import documents in PT Sarana Public Logistics. This research was based by a decrease in sales of motorcycle Kawasaki Pulsar 200 NS within the first half in 2015-2016. The sales decline is one indication of a decrease in consumer purchasing decisions against the Kawasaki Pulsar 200 NS products. This research aimed to examine the effect of the price and product quality, purchase decision sport motorcycle Kawasaki Pulsar 200 NS. This research used purposive sampling method, using a sample of 100 people from the user population Kawasaki Pulsar 200 NS users in the city of Padang. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression. The results of this research reported the following regression equation: Y = 0,389 + 0,240 X1 + 0,629 X2. Based on statistical data analysis, indicators in this research are valid and reliable. On the classical assumption test, regression models multicoloniarity free, does not occur heteroscedasticity, and the normal distribution. The biggest variable is the variable quality of the product which 0.629. whereas the smallest variable is the variable price which 0.240. Results of the research found that all independent variables are positive and has significant effect on the dependent variable.

Fisher’s early work on statistical data analysis and experimental design made possible the application of scientific method to industrial problems and to the improvement of the quality of everyday life. The use is discussed of simple statistical techniques for informed observation which can be used to improve quality in hospitals and other service organizations as well as in the factory. At a more sophisticated level, statistical experimental design may be used by engineers and scientists to design products that rarely go wrong. Experimental design can be employed to maximize a desirable quality characteristic, to minimize its variance, and to make it insensitive to environmental changes. Such expansion of the domain of the application of scientific method can not only raise industrial efficiency, but can improve the quality of life for everyone.

The analysis of Weibull and Pareto distribution functions in the approximation of the density of a sum of damping functions, PMRQ approximation and approximation of service distribution in the peak mode of the flow. There was found one of the characteristics of the network, the average waiting time of packets in the queue after application of spectral method of the Lindley’s integral equation. Finally, PMRQ approximation of the average waiting time in TES+/G/1, MMPR, was compared with the analytic values of the same value in the spectral solution of the Lindley’s integral equation obtained by simulation with real traffic. Traffic is captured using the Wireshark protocol analyzer program. The time distributions were obtained in the EasyFit data analysis program, designed for quick statistical data analysis and decision making. Methods of approximation of network traffic allows us to estimate the average packet latency using statistical data analysis, which will improve the quality of service and predict the behavior of traffic.

Abstract:Expert systems in medicine are frequently restricted to assisting the physician to derive a patient-specific diagnosis and therapy proposal. In many cases, however, there is a clinical need to use these patient data for other purposes as well. The intention of this paper is to show how and to what extent patient data in expert systems can additionally be used to create clinical registries and for statistical data analysis. At first, the pitfalls of goal-oriented mechanisms for the multiple usability of data are shown by means of an example. Then a data acquisition and inference mechanism is proposed, which includes a procedure for controlling selection bias, the so-called knowledge-based attribute selection. The functional view and the architectural view of expert systems suitable for the multiple usability of patient data is outlined in general and then by means of an application example. Finally, the ideas presented are discussed and compared with related approaches.

The criteria of the coordinate measurements quality at pilot-experimental production based on contemporary methods of quality management system and traditional methods of the measurements quality in Metrology are considered. As an additional criterion for quality of measurements, their duration is proposed. Analyzing the problem of assessing the quality of measurements, the authors pay particular attention to the role of technological heredity in the analysis of the sources of uncertainty of coordinate measurements, including not only the process of manufacturing the part, but all stages of the development of design and technological documentation. Along with such criteria as the degree of confidence in the results of measurements; the accuracy, convergence, reproducibility and speed of the results must take into account the correctness of technical specification, and such characteristics of the shape of the geometric elements to be controlled, such as flatness, roundness, cylindrical. It is noted that one of the main methods to reduce the uncertainty of coordinate measurements is to reduce the uncertainty in the initial data and measurement conditions, as well as to increase the stability of the tasks due to the reasonable choice of the basic geometric elements (measuring bases) of the part. A prerequisite for obtaining reliable quality indicators is a quantitative assessment of the conditions and organization of the measurement process. To plan and normalize the time of measurements, the authors propose to use analytical formulas, on the basis of which it is possible to perform quantitative analysis and optimization of quality indicators, including the speed of measurements.

Visual merchandising is an extremely important element as the first visual cue that affects buying behavior of customers. This study aims to identify determinants of visual merchandising that influence customers’ impulse buying behavior. This study focuses on five elements of visual merchandising which are window display, mannequin display, floor merchandising, promotional signage and lighting. Investigation was conducted at a popular fashion specialty store in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. A total of 150 customers' feedback was collected. Results of statistical data analysis show that three out of five visual merchandising elements are important in influencing the customers’ impulse buying behavior. Window display, mannequin display and promotional signage are positively related and identified as determinants of effective visual merchandising for impulse buying decision at the women fashion specialty store. The research outcome extends understanding on the adverse effect of visual merchandising on customers’ behavior.
