In this paper, we obtain strong convergence results for asymptotically demicontractive and asymptotically hemicontractive mappings in hyperbolic spaces. We present our results in hyperbolic spaces. This class of spaces contains both linear and nonlinear spaces like CAT(0) spaces, [Formula: see text]-trees, Banach spaces and Hilbert spaces. Thus our results are not only novel but also much more general.

Abstract In this work, we propose an iterative scheme to approach common fixed point(s) of a finite family of generalized multi-valued nonexpansive mappings in a CAT(0) space. We establish and prove convergence theorems for the algorithm. The results are new and interesting in the theory of $$CAT\left( 0\right) $$ C A T 0 spaces and are the analogues of corresponding ones in uniformly convex Banach spaces and Hilbert spaces.

The Opial property of Hilbert spaces and some other special Banach spaces is a powerful tool in establishing fixed point theorems for nonexpansive and, more generally, nonspreading mappings. Unfortunately, not every Banach space shares the Opial property. However, every Banach space has a similar Bregman-Opial property for Bregman distances. In this paper, using Bregman distances, we introduce the classes of Bregman nonspreading mappings and investigate the Mann and Ishikawa iterations for these mappings. We establish weak and strong convergence theorems for Bregman nonspreading mappings.

In this paper, we consider a class of split feasibility problems in Banach space. By using shrinking projective method and the modified proximal point algorithm, we propose an iterative algorithm. Under suitable conditions some strong convergence theorems are proved. Our results extend a recent result of Takahashi-Xu-Yao (Set-Valued Var. Anal. 23, 205-221 (2015)) from Hilbert spaces to Banach spaces. Moreover, the method of proof is also different.

AbstractIn this paper, we establish the strong convergence for a modified three-step iterative scheme with errors associated with three mappings in real Banach spaces. Moreover, our technique of proofs is of independent interest. Remark at the end simplifies many known results.

In this paper, we investigate the split equilibrium problem and fixed point problem in Hilbert spaces. We propose an iterative scheme for solving such problem in which the involved equilibrium bifunctions f and g are pseudomonotone and monotone, respectively, and the operators S and T are all pseudocontractive. We show that the suggested scheme converges strongly to a solution of the considered problem.

Abstract We introduce Prešić-Kannan nonexpansive mappings on the product spaces and show that they have a unique fixed point in uniformly convex metric spaces. Moreover, we approximate this fixed point by Mann iterations. Our results are new in the literature and are valid in Hilbert spaces, CAT(0) spaces and Banach spaces simultaneously.

We use a three-step iterative process to prove some strong andΔ-convergence results for nonexpansive mappings in a uniformly convex hyperbolic space, a nonlinear domain. Three-step iterative processes have numerous applications and hyperbolic spaces contain Banach spaces (linear domains) as well as CAT(0) spaces. Thus our results can be viewed as extension and generalization of several known results in uniformly convex Banach spaces as well as CAT(0) spaces.

In this paper we introduce to modified three step iterative process with errors for approximating the common fixed point for generalized asymptotically quasi-nonexpansive mappings and prove some strong convergence results for the iterative sequences iterations with errors in real Banach spaces. The results obtained in this paper extend and improve the recent ones announced by Lan \cite{Lan}, Nantadilok \cite{Nan}, Saluja and Nashine \cite{SN} and Yang et all. \cite{LY} and many others.

In this paper, we propose the generalized M-iteration process for approximating the fixed points from Banach spaces to hyperbolic spaces. Using our new iteration process, we prove Δ-convergence and strong convergence theorems for the class of mappings satisfying the condition Cλ and the condition E which is the generalization of Suzuki generalized nonexpansive mappings in the setting of hyperbolic spaces. Moreover, a numerical example is given to present the capability of our iteration process and the solution of the integral equation is also illustrated using our main result.
