This paper considers the problems of the robust stability and robustH∞controller design for time-varying delay switched systems using delta operator approach. Based on the average dwell time approach and delta operator theory, a sufficient condition of the robust exponential stability is presented by choosing an appropriate Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional candidate. Then, a state feedback controller is designed such that the resulting closed-loop system is exponentially stable with a guaranteedH∞performance. The obtained results are formulated in the form of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Finally, a numerical example is provided to explicitly illustrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method.

This paper is concerned with the problem of finite-timel1-gain control for positive switched systems with time-varying delay via delta operator approach. Firstly, sufficient conditions which can guarantee thel1-gain finite-time boundedness of the underlying system are given by using the average dwell time approach and constructing an appropriate copositive type Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional in delta domain. Moreover, the obtained conditions can unify some previously suggested relevant results seen in literature of both continuous and discrete systems into the delta operator framework. Then, based on the results obtained, a state feedback controller is designed to ensure that the resulting closed-loop system is finite-time bounded with anl1-gain performance. Finally, a numerical example is presented to demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method.

The problem of robust ℋ∞ filtering design for Takagi–Sugeno fuzzy systems with time-varying delay via delta operator approach is investigated. The time-varying delay and parameter uncertainties are assumed to be of an internal-like type and a structured linear fractional form, respectively. Based on a Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional in delta domain, robust ℋ∞ filter scheme is proposed. Then, a sufficient condition is established for the existence of the desired filter in terms of linear-matrix inequalities. A numerical example is provided to illustrate the design procedure of the present method.

In this paper, the switching signal design to robust exponential stability for discrete-time switched systems with interval time-varying delay is considered. LMI-based conditions are proposed to guarantee the global exponential stability for such system with parametric perturbations by using a switching signal. The appropriate Lyapunov functionals are used to reduce the conservativeness of systems. Finally, a numerical example is illustrated to show the main results.

In this paper, we investigate the problem of delay-range-dependent robust stability analysis for uncertain neutral systems with interval time-varying delays and nonlinear perturbations. The restriction on the derivative of the discrete interval time-varying delay is removed. By applying the augmented Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional approach, new improved integral inequalities, descriptor model transformation, Leibniz–Newton formula and utilization of zero equation, new delay-range-dependent robust stability criteria are derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) for the considered systems. Numerical examples have shown to illustrate the significant improvement on the conservatism of the delay upper bound over some reported results.

The problem of delay-dependent robust stability of uncertain stochastic systems with time-varying delay is discussed in this paper. Based on the Lyapunov-Krasovskii theory and free-weighting matrix technique, new delay-dependent stability criterion is presented. The criterion is in terms of linear matrix inequality (LMI) which can be solved by various available algorithms.

The problems of mean-square exponential stability and robustH∞control of switched stochastic systems with time-varying delay are investigated in this paper. Based on the average dwell time method and Gronwall-Bellman inequality, a new mean-square exponential stability criterion of such system is derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Then,H∞performance is studied and robustH∞controller is designed. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

Sufficient linear matrix inequality (LMI) conditions to verify the robust stability and to design robust state feedback gains for the class of linear discrete-time systems with time-varying delay and polytopic uncertainties are presented. The conditions are obtained through parameter-dependent Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals and use some extra variables, which yield less conservative LMI conditions. Both problems, robust stability analysis and robust synthesis, are formulated as convex problems where all system matrices can be affected by uncertainty. Some numerical examples are presented to illustrate the advantages of the proposed LMI conditions.
