It is almost impossible to astonish anyone in the era of global digitalization and the Internet of Things. Modern digital technologies and artificial intelligence have become an integral part of everyday life. Neural networks analyze information and photographs that we post on the Internet, and artificial intelligence programs have learned to reproduce and create intellectual property objects independently. Undoubtedly, this situation contributes to an increase in cross-border disputes, and arbitration procedures are becoming more attractive for participants. The development of the information and communication environment significantly impacts the means and methods used by arbitrators and parties in arbitration. Online arbitration, video conferencing, electronic databases, systems for analyzing court and arbitration practice, and templates and document designers are used daily. Due to the wide distribution and diversity of digital tools, this area, like nothing else, needs effective regulation. In this regard, the author of this article concludes on the possibility of conducting an analysis on the implementation of the digital agenda by international commercial arbitration tribunals, identifying the main trends in the development of the arbitration procedure, and improving the legislation in this area.

Innovations change the world in all spheres of life, and education is not an exception. Modern requirements of time put us new challenges that require the use of new information technologies at all stages of the educational process in higher education institutions, in particular the use of the Internet. In addition, it has been noted that Internet resources increase motivation and contribute to the formation of a fully developed personality. Testing and evaluating students' knowledge and abilities is an integral part of the credit-module system. One of the forms of evaluation of the initial level of knowledge, consolidation and improvement of assimilation of information is testing. It should be noted that in a number of countries, testing has shifted traditional forms of control — oral and written exams and interviews. However, in Ukraine, educators remain adherents of a combination of testing and classical analysis of material. It allows the most efficient distribution of the training time of a practical class, 100% control of the knowledge and the effectiveness of mastering the material of all the students of the academic group. Technical progress stimulates the search for new variants and possibilities of testing, its various variations. One of the options that can help solve this problem was a smartphone. In order to facilitate the work of the teacher at the Department of Microbiology, an online testing system with the use of smartphones was introduced. Online testing is conducted among students with Ukrainian and English language training. With the Google Forms platform, the teacher creates a form which contains the student's records and tests. Students directly from the teacher get a link to fill out an online form directly at the lesson. For testing, a database containing standard KROK-1 licensed test tasks is used. The form can contain any number of test tasks that are in arbitrary order, as well as a changed order of distractors, which makes it impossible to write off. At the same time, all students are in the same conditions: all write one option. After submitting the form, the student receives a notification that his response is recorded. Re-linking is not possible. In turn, the teacher receives a message on the result of the test in the table — the ratio of correct answers to the total number of questions, as well as options for their answers. First and foremost, questions are displayed on which students gave the largest number of incorrect answers. This allows the topic to be considered in the process of discussion of the most difficult tasks from the students perspective, and in the future it will allow more efficiently to create forms for on-line tests and to focus on these issues.

The introduction of information and communication technologies into the educational process began more than twenty years ago, along with the rapid spreading of computers around the world. However, not all educational institutions have supported the inclusion of information and communication technologies into the educational process for the above-mentioned quite a long period of time. Most likely, this was due to insufficient financial investments in modernization. In addition, insufficient attention was initially paid to training of teachers for working with digital technologies. At present, when information and communication competence has already been included into all international standards for teachers, it turned out that neither graduates from teacher training institutes nor teachers who have been working for already a long period of time have sufficient competencies for using digital technologies in practice. A comparative analysis of Russian and European professional standards for teachers is carried out, and the competencies they should possess are considered. Various versions of the information literacy definitions are given, which have undergone changes in the technological development process. Special attention is paid to the requirements for competencies of foreign language teachers in the field of digital technologies. The list of the currently available digital tools, including mobile devices, is discussed. The students actively use such technologies to learn languages, but to yield a really positive effect, digital tools should be integrated directly into the educational process in a professional manner. The experience of work with digital technologies gained by the teachers of the NRU MPEI Department of Foreign Languages is considered. A conclusion has been drawn, according to which a high level of information literacy enables teachers not only to change their own pedagogical methods, but also to open new horizons for their students, who, in turn, gain access to high quality education.

Constructivism allows the student to build knowledge and learning on his own. Through the discovery, experimentation, and tests, the student tries to consolidate the learning objects. Τhis chapter approaches constructivism through the use of methods used by information technology. An advantage of IT tools is the interaction that turns the teaching into experiential and experimental where the student tries to evaluate and improve his abilities. Methods such as robotics, interactive television, and the use of the internet provide forms of interactive learning based on the methodology of game-based learning, which contribute to constructivism. In this chapter, once the construction and importance in education and especially in IT is presented, the importance of game-based learning and video games is presented. The authors show the role of robotics and the internet in relation to the interaction they offer, and also the role of interactive television in the educational process from the point of view of constructivism.

e14108 Background: Oncology has unique characteristics that predict early benefit from digital technologies including a culture of patient involvement in trials, genetic testing, and longitudinal assessments including objective measures. However, implementation of digital tools is slow for many reasons including lack of incentives/interoperability, and high-profile cases highlighting inadequate data governance. We report results from the Digital Medicine Society’s study of the stakeholders involved in using digital technologies to optimize health, with a focus on oncology. Methods: We performed 16 interviews with diverse Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) including physicians, executives, senior government officials, patients, payers, tech innovators, and investors. KOLs received a pre-interview list of topics. We used the Delphi method, an evidence-based approach to compile expert opinions, to iteratively refine recommendations. Results: We identified priorities for 5 stakeholder groups to facilitate digital tool implementation (Table); all groups must also act now to develop a framework for data governance. We describe 4 categories of early success in oncologic digital tools: regimen/drug choice, drug approval efficiency, digital user training, and patient generated health data. Conclusions: Data and technology have great potential to improve cancer care. Multi-stakeholder involvement and a framework for US health data governance are needed. [Table: see text]

In the moment of complete engagement in any activity, we function without conscious thought—referred to as ‘the zone.’ Digital technologies, from mobile devices to the Internet, can be a constant source of diversion; however, can digital tools help us get into the zone more quickly rather than simply distract us? Using open-source software and hardware, I have developed a real-time data visualization and sonification that have been recorded as performances on the website Mind & Matter, the project accompanying this paper. The performances are filmed in different locations and the visualization geolocates these locations, comparing them to the cell towers within the area. The project seeks to show waves within and around our body that are normally invisible. Each performance seeks to train both my brain and body to find stillness within. The paper is informed by the communications theorists and artists studied throughout the Communications and Culture program. I seek to answer Catherine Malabou’s question of “What We Should Do with Our Brains,” and how we might find agency in our brain plasticity though technological extension.

This paper looks at how Estadão Infográficos use algorithms to examine news scripts and format content; its purpose being to use visuality both in the investigation process and for how the news is presented. We intend to demonstrate how web journalism appropriates the digital tools for innovation and differentiation. Thusly, the methodological procedure was conducted in three stages: interviewing the team members responsible for the menu, selecting those reports that use artificial intelligence techniques, and lastly, conducting a qualitative analysis upon specific concepts to explain cognitive effects that its news narratives create, which are: data visualization, image-synthesis and optical unconscious. Our investigation concluded that the use of algorithms to produce visualizations provides different perspectives of news scripts and builds communication with the public on the internet, despite the fact that this newspaper (O Estado de S. Paulo) does not make much use of this resource.O artigo observa como o Estadão Infográficos emprega algoritmo para prospecção de pautas e formatação do conteúdo, com o propósito do uso da visualidade tanto no processo de investigação quanto na apresentação das notícias.
