Meeting increasing demand for the electrical power without changing the existing infrastructure is a challenging issue. The transmission and the distribution are always struggling with losses in our ac power system networks. In this research an intelligent fuzzy logic approach is to be used for power system operation and control in distribution management. The VAR compensating devices like OLTC, SVC are to be controlled by the fuzzy expert system for modifying reactive power. The fuzzy membership functions, fuzzy rules are to be displayed. A co-ordination control between these VAR compensating devices using fuzzy logic control is to be discussed. An optimum location and the proper design of a capacitor banks for reducing the harmonic injection in the power system is to be suggested. The validity of this approach is to be given by the comparison graphs. All the simulations are to be carried out by MATLAB software. This research will investigate the effects of arising problems in an ac power system distribution without changing the existing infra structure. The various types of problems arising in a power system are to be listed. Among these the voltage stability in the buses has got the top priority. The solutions for reducing the power congestion created by these arising problems can be carried out.

In order to cope with the great pressure caused by the gradually exhaustion of fossil energy and environmental protection and climate warming, the development and application of the renewable energy has become an important foundation and development direction in the field of energy. However, due to the impact of energy and resource endowment, China’s load center and renewable energy base into the characteristics of long-range reverse distribution, the use of long-distance large-capacity transmission potential is necessary. With the “strong DC system and weak AC system” problem of the company power grid is increasingly prominent, the higher demand of dynamic reactive power support is put forward in the UHV DC power transmission project. Then, the large-capacity dynamic reactive power of new generation synchronous condenser is large-scale built up in the UHV DC/AC power system. Due to the high requirement of response speed and capacity in the UHV DC power transmission, the structure, dynamic characteristics, excitation control and relay protection and other aspects of the large synchronous condenser are different from generators and traditional synchronous condenser. Based on this, the dynamic reactive power demand of UHV DC power system is analyzed in this paper. Then, the main situation of large synchronous condenser is considered. In addition, the key points of the excitation control system and protection system are also discussed in this paper. There are important theoretical and practical significance for the safe and reliable operation of the UHV DC/AC power system.

An improved instantaneous symmetrical component method is adopted to improve the performance of inverter with LCL filter under asymmetric voltage conditions in electrical power system. Positive and negative sequence components in voltage and current in electrical power system are calculated with fewer calculation time, which is suitable for pratical application. In addition, this paper analyses active and reactive power in the system.A double-loop control strategy is proposed to eliminate the influence of double frequency components in power and negative sequence current. The simulation results verify its feasibility and effectiveness.

The governments of US, Japan, Europe are planning overall change of electrical power system by adapting Smart Grid as a solution of increasing demand of electricity every year. Especially, ESS have been actively studied to plan efficient use of electrical power and grid-connected. Korea government have been proceeding not only plan of renewable energy but also spread of smart grid. At the same time they have been discussing introduction of ESS which is effective solution of demand response and new growth power. In this study, according to K-ESS policy which is governmental policy of popularizing ESS. we suggest REC weighting value control among the a lot of supporting method that if renewable Genco apply ESS system they would not suffer from lose. It is meaningful because it could be referred to the way of offering governmental incentive for the purpose of decrease peak level and enhance the contribution level of peak.
