In today's world fuel demand is increasing day by day. Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is the most used fuel in Kitchen. This is filled in a cylinder in liquid state. These cylinders blast sometimes, the main reason of cylinder blast is gas leakage. So, to avoid this we need to detect the leakage of gas. For this we need an automatic gas leakage detection system which detects leakage of gas and gives alerts. This type of automatic security system can save people from dangerous blasts and prevent accidents. Nowadays IOT (Internet of Things) is widely used in day-to-day life. There are many home appliances which are based on IOT thus it becomes easier to manipulate them. As we know the kitchen is the most important part of our home, but we also heard about the disasters happening in the kitchen due to various reasons and many people lost their lives. There might be various reasons behind the cause of these disasters but the main and mostly happens is due to the leakage of LPG gas from the cylinder. As LPG gas is highly inflammable gas, a small leakage of gas can be costly for human life. So, if we can detect these leakages of gas before it causes any serious issue then we might save many lives.

With new innovations and technologies world besides being facilitated is also subjected to face the threat of major misadventures and disasters. Likewise, Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is generally used in household for kitchen in general and gas geysers or heaters in winter. Similarly, industries use it for different causes for instance furnace, boiling and get higher production at cheaper rate. Besides, this gas is igneous gas and can cause potential hazard at any time. Hence, in this paper research is made on Internet of Things (IOT) to reduce the chances of such mishaps by presenting a model of microcontroller-based LPG gas detecting and warning system. Furthermore, it explicates the development of self-directed android based mobile device for gas leakage detection that can be installed in all sort of places. Moreover, this device would be containing MQ6 sensor to detect the unwanted outflow and GPS module to locate particular location of leakage what is more Arduino is installed to disseminate information of leakage to different servers like Smartphones, Email and buzzer and shall give display on LCD. Subsequently, it will send the mobile alert to authorized and concerned authorities to take action with in time and there would be buzzer installed. In addition, this device promises automatic working with no need of human interference and assures reliability, efficiency along with cost-effectiveness check-ups of pipeline.

This paper mainly focuses on the detection of gas leakage and providing security when the user is around or away from home. The system is Short Message Service (SMS) based and uses wireless technology for providing security against gas leakage to users hence cost effective and more adaptable. The system comprises of sensors for detecting gas leakinterfaced to microcontroller that will give an alert to user whenever there is a gas leakage, display warning information by using Liquid Crystal Display (LCD), sending SMS to the user for notification wherever he/she might be and turning off electric power with the help of magnetic relay. This will enable the user to take precaution of explosion disaster whichmay result on Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cookers like loss of properties, injury or even death. GLDS provides ideal solution to gas leakage problems faced by home owners in daily life.

Gas leakage is a significant problem in industries, residential premises and gas powered vehicles. Carbon Monoxide is one type of harmful gas that generates out from vehicle’s AC when it is in ON mode, which can cause suffocation or death for all the passengers within less than hour that according to the science researchers. One of the proposed methods to upgrade safety standards and prevent accidents related to gas leakage is to install gas leakage detection inside the vehicles. This paper discusses the design of gas detection system to detect the presence of a dangerous Carbon Monoxide (Co) leak inside the cars using the MQ-7 gas sensor, and an alert is provided to two users by sending SMS to the programmed mobile numbers. Also, this system decreases the gas concentration by opening the car window using a relay board and motor. If the Co (MQ-7) sensor senses any gas leakage from the AC output of this sensor goes low, and the Arduino monitors this low signal, and it will identify the gas leakage.
