This study aims to identify and determine the leading sectors in Malang City to illustrate leading economic activities that can be developed to boost economic potential in Malang City. The analysis tools used include Shift-Share, Location Quotient (LQ), and Growth Ratio Model (GRM) analysis. The results show that: (1) shift-share analysis showed that the economy of Malang City during the period 2010-2016 increased by Rp. 12,926,565.5 million. The increase in economic performance in Malang City can be seen from 16 (sixteen) sectors of economic activity that are positive; (2) Location Quotient (LQ) analysis showed the leading sectors in Malang City consisting of 7 (seven) sectors, i.e. water procurement, garbage, waste and recycling management, construction, retail and wholesale trade, car and motorcycle repair, financial and insurance services, education services, health services, and social activities and other services sector; (3) Growth Ratio Model (GRM) estimation showed that the dominant sectors of growth and large contributions consist of the retail and wholesale trade car and motorcycle repair, transportation and warehousing, accommodation and food provision, information and communication, financial and insurance services, real estate, education services and health services and social activities sectors; (4) weighting results based on Shift-Share, Location Quotient (LQ) analysis, and Growth Ratio Model (GRM) showed that five sectors based on the highest potential weighting results are the health services and social activities, education services, construction, retail and wholesale trade car and motorcycle repair, and financial and insurance services sector. Keywords: Economic Potential, Shift-Share, Location Quotient (LQ), Growth Ratio Model (GRM)JEL Classification: R58;R11;O41

This study aims to identify and determine the leading sectors in Bandung City to illustrate leading economics activities that can be developed in order to boost economics potential in Bandung City. The analysis tools used include Shift-Share, Location Quotient (LQ) and Growth Ratio Model (GRM) analyses. The results of the study show that: (1) shift-share analysis showed that the economy of Bandung City during the period 2010-2017 increased by Rp. 70,697,045.9 million. The increase in economic performance in Bandung City can be seen from 16 (sixteen) sectors of economic activity that are positive; (2) based on the Location Quotient (LQ) analysis, the leading sectors in Bandung City consisting of 13 (thirteen) sectors, i.e. water supply procurement; garbage, waste and recycling management; construction sector; retail and wholesale trade; car and motorcycle repair; transportation and warehousing sector; accommodation and food provision; information and communication sector; financial and insurance services sector; real estate sector; corporate services sector; government administration, defense and social security; education services sector; health services sector and social activities and other service sectors; (3) the analysis of the Growth Ratio Model (GRM) showed that the dominant sectors of growth and large contributions consist of the construction sector, transportation and warehousing sector, accommodation and food provision sector, information and communication sector, corporate services sector, education services sector, health services sector and social activities and other service sectors; (4) weighting results based on Shift-Share, Location Quotient (LQ) analysis, and Growth Ratio Model (GRM) showed that 5 (five) sectors based on the highest potential weighting results are the information and communication sector, retail and wholesale trade sectors , car and motorcycle repair, transportation and warehousing sector, accommodation and food provision sector and other service sectors.

This study aims to examine the economic potential in the sector and sub-sector of agriculture, forestry and fishery of Jember Regency. In addition, this study also identifies and determines the leading sectors and sub-sectors in Jember Regency to provide an overview of the leading economic activities that can be developed in increasing the economic potential in Jember District. Analyzer used in this research include analysis of Shift-Share, Location Quotient (LQ), and Growth Ratio Model (MRP). From the research result, it can be seen that: (1) shift-share analysis shows Jember Regency economy during 2010-2015 period increased by Rp2,412.3 billion. The improvement of economic performance in Jember Regency can be seen from positive sector of agriculture sector, forestry and fishery; (2) Based on the analysis of Location Quotient (LQ) sector and the leading sub-sector in Jember Regency there is 1 sector and 1 sub-sector having average LQ> 1 or sector and subsector of the (potential) ie agriculture, farming, and plantation sub-sector; (3) Growth Ratio Model (MRP) analysis shows that the dominant sectors of growth and large contribution include estate crop sub-sector, agriculture and hunting services sub sector, forestry and logging sector, and fishery sector; (4) weighted results based on Shift-Share, Location Quotient (LQ) and Growth Ratio (MRP) analysis were obtained by the highest ranking sub-category of the most potential weighted crops sub-sector.

This study aims to examine the economic potential in the sector and sub-sector of agriculture, forestry and fishery of Jember Regency. In addition, this study also highlights and determines the leading sectors and sub-sectors in Jember Regency to provide an overview of superior economic activities that can be developed in increasing the economic potential in Jember District. The data used in this study is secondary data in the form of time series (time series) for 6 years from 2010 to 2015 Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of East Java Province, GRDP (Gross Regional Domestic Product) Jember District. The data was obtained from Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of East Java Province and Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Jember Regency. Shift-Share, Location Quotient (LQ), and Growth Ratio Model (MRP). From the results of the research: (1) shift-share analysis shows that the economy of Jember Regency during 2010-2015 period increased by Rp2,412.3 billion. The performance improvement in Jember Regency can be seen from the sectors and sub-sectors of agriculture, forestry and fisheries; (2) based on the analysis of Quotient Location (LQ) of the sector and the leading sub-sector in Jember Regency there is 1 sector and 1 sub-sector with average LQ> 1 or potential sectors and subsectors namely agriculture, farming, hunting & agricultural services and plantation sub-sector; (3) Growth Ratio Model (MRP) analysis shows the dominant sectors of growth and subsector of plantation, sub-sector of agricultural and hunting services, forestry and logging sector, and fishery sector. Keywords: Economic Potential, Shift-Share, Quotient Location (LQ), Growth Ratio Model (MRP)

Economic development in Batu City cannot be separated from economic growth, while economic development encourages economic growth and vice versa economic growth accelerates the process of regional development. This study aims to determine the leading economic sectors in Batu City in 2012-2018. The results of the study are based on a combined analysis of Static Location Quotient (SLQ) and Dynamic Location Quotient (DLQ) obtained as sectors that are classified as leading economies, namely agriculture, mining, and fisheries, air procurement, construction, wholesale trade and trade, supply accomodation, real estate and other services. Mainstay economic sectors are the manufacturing sector, electricity and gas procurement, as well as transportation and warehousing. Prospective economic sectors are the information and communication sector, financial services and insurance, government administration, education services, as well as health services and social activities. And the lagging economic sector is the mining sector, and corporate services. Using Shift-Share (SS) analysis, the contributing sector is growing fast and is being developed for the manufacturing, construction, wholesale and retail, transportation and warehousing sectors, transportation, information and communication, financial services, real estate, corporate services, education services and health services. While the results of the analysis using the Klassen Typology sectors that are classified as fast-moving and fast-growing are the construction sector, wholesale trade and trade, the supply of goods and beverages, communication and information, and other services.

The main objective of this research is to identify what education is in line with the advantages of regional potential, namely through specific typologies, approaches to the pattern of economic growth relations and the human development index and location quotient. This type of research method is development research, namely research aimed at developing research findings or previous theories, both for the purposes of pure science and applied sciences and so on. The data used in this study is secondary data in the form of data in the form of annual reports on Aceh economic statistics in 2012-2016 in the form of GRDP data, economic growth, per capita income, human development index obtained from the Central Statistics Agency. The results of the study show that the identification of education is appropriate to the potential in disadvantaged areas, namely Aceh Singkil District such as electricity and gas procurement, financial and information services, government administration, land and compulsory social security, as well as health services and social activities; South Aceh Regency such as construction, information and communication, as well as government administration, land and compulsory social security; North Aceh Regency such as agriculture, forestry and fisheries; mining and excavation; and processing industry; Southwest Aceh District such as construction; health services and social activities; and other services; Aceh Tamiang Regency such as fisheries, forestry and fisheries; mining and excavation; and other services; Nagan Raya Regency such as agriculture, forestry and fisheries; and mining and quarrying; and Aceh Jaya Regency such as construction, transportation and warehousing, as well as government administration, defense and compulsory social security.   Keywords: standard typology, economic growth, human development index, and location quotient

This paper aims to analyze the leading sectors of the economy in Kepulauan Anambas Regency. The data analysis method used is the Location Quotient (LQ), Shift-Share, and Klassen Typology, with the analysis area of Kepulauan Anambas Regency and the reference area of Kepulauan Riau Province. Based on LQ analysis, it is known that the leading sector of Kepulauan Anambas Regency is Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries sector, as well as Mining and Quarrying sector. Based on Shift-Share analysis, it is known that the Construction sector and Health Services and Social Activities sector are sectors with rapid growth, while the Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries sectors are stunted but growing sectors. Based on the Klassen Typology analysis, it is found that the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Sector is the leading sector and has rapid growth. While the Mining and Quarrying sector is the leading sector but the growth is stunted. The Construction sector, Real Estate sector, and Health Services and Social Activities sector which are potential sectors and can still be developed.

This study aims to determine the contributions and and analize the leading sectors and changes of economics structure which can be used as information of economics development in undeveloped regions in West Kalimantan. The results show that agricultures, forestries and fisheries sectors are the economics sectors with the highest average contribution rates for all underdeveloped regions in Kalimantan Barat Province; while electricity and gas procurement sectors become economics sectors with the smallest contribution average in the formation of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of all underdeveloped regions. The real estates sector and the health services sector and social activities are the leading sectors as well as the agricultures, forestries and fisheries sectors and the mining and quarrying sectors into potential sectors to be developed into the leading sectors in disadvantaged areas. This study also shows that there has been a structural transformation of the economy from the primary sector to the tertiary and secondary sectors marked by the decline in the role of the primary sector and the increasing role of the tertiary and secondary sectors to the formation of GRDP and the absorption of manpower in all the underdeveloped regions in West Kalimantan Province.

GIS Utilization for Mapping the Leading Food Crops Commodities Production Area in Pacitan Regency Nowadays, the regional development planning concept focuses on the development of remote and rural areas. The agricultural sector, particularly food crops, cannot be separated from the development of rural areas. Development of leading food crop commodities based on production can be accelerated using Geographic Information System (GIS). The objectives of this research are to identify leading food crop commodities in Pacitan Regency and to map their production areas. Analyses of Sectoral Contribution Index, Growth Ratio Model, Dynamic Location Quotient (DLQ), Supply-Demand Ratio, and Composite Index were conducted to identify the leading food crop commodities. Meanwhile, the production area of those food crops were determined by utilizing Hot Spot (Getis Ord Gi*) analysis on village unit. The results show that cassava, corn, and rice are leading food crop commodities in Pacitan Regency. Hot Spot analysis results show that there are two clusters of leading food crop commodity development: the Northeast and Northwest of Pacitan Regency. Northeast around Bandar District, is the center production of cassava, corn, and rice. Meanwhile, Northwest around Punung District, is the location of rice production. This research is expected to contribute to policy formulation to determine leading food crop commodities and developing agropolitan area in Pacitan Regency.

This study aims to determine the potential sectors or sectors base and non-base in the city of South Tangerang. Data obtained through secondary data, that is data Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of South Tangerang City in 2010 - 2013. The data were analyzed using analysis tools Location quotients (LQ) and Growth Ratio Model (MRP). These results indicate, there are five sectors at the same base as the dominant sector which needs to be developed, namely: the building sector, trade, hotels and restaurants, transport and communications, financial services, leasing and business services, and the services sector. Sector is based on the calculation basis of positive LQ (LQ> 1) and the results of calculation of the five sectors Growth Ratio (RPs) through MRP is also positive, or more than one.

This study aims to determine the shifting economic structure and find out the leading sektors in Soppeng Regency in 2013-2017. The type of research used is quantitative research. The data processed is the data of the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Soppeng Regency and South Sulawesi Province on the basis of constant prices in 2010 in 2013-2017 in all sectors. The data analysis technique used to determine the shift in economic structure and leading sektors in Soppeng District is Location Quotient (LQ) Analysis, Shift Share (SS) Analysis and Klassen Typology analysis. The results of the Location Quotient (LQ) analysis show the agriculture, forestry and fisheries sectors; electricity and gas procurement sectors; construction; trade and repair of cars and motorbikes; providing accommodation and drinking meals; real estate; government administration, defense and social security; education services; and health services and social activities are the leading sectors in Soppeng Regency. The result of Shift Share analysis shows that the sector experiencing a shift is the processing industri sector; trade and repair of cars and motorbikes; providing accommodation and drinking meals; information and communication; financial services; health services and social activities; and other services with PB 0. While the Klassen Typology analysis shows that the advanced and fast-growing sektors are agriculture, forestry and fisheries; and real estate.
