The article describes the experience of Belarus in the field of international academic mobility. The purpose of the article is to reveal the theoretical and methodological aspects of the internationalization of higher education and academic mobility and describe the current situation on the integration of Belarus into the international context, from a sociological and statistical perspective. In view of the significant number of Belarusian students in Polish and Eastern European universities, the topic is relevant in the context of the study of academic mobility in Eastern Europe. As part of the first task, the theoretical aspects of studying the internationalization of higher education in the country are described – with justification for the development of both the external and internal internationalization, as well as a description of various types of students’ adaptation when studying abroad (academic, linguistic, socio-cultural). As part of the second task, the results of the author’s sociological study are presented, which includes two main components. Firstly, the results of a survey devoted to the study of the views of Belarusian students regarding academic mobility (including cognitive, affective and behavioural aspects) are presented. Secondly, the results of a series of in-depth interviews among participants in the processes of academic mobility aimed at studying the practices of Belarusian students staying abroad for educational purposes are considered. The studies showed the need to increase the awareness of Belarusian students about the possibilities of academic mobility (the vast majority of students have incomplete or fragmented ideas about the possibilities of academic mobility), as well as the problem of the incomplete involvement of the Belarusian higher education system in the international context (the activity of students participating in exchange programs is not counted at Belarusian universities). In accordance with the results, recommendations are given for the further integration of the Belarusian higher education system into the international context.

The higher education system in Israel is in a period crisis over 12 years. The number of students is reduced, and damage to human capital is imminent. The system fails to develop the economic knowledge of the students, and therefore the academic mobility is also very limited. This article attempts to propose a multidisciplinary model for improving the education system. A model that also incorporates international academic mobility.

The article deals with determining ways to improve the system of public administration of educational institutions in order to ensure competitiveness. Were analysed the main trends in the regulatory support for the activities of higher education institutions in the article, as a result of which the basic innovations of the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education”, which became the basis for the formation of systems of academic mobility, virtue and autonomy, were defined. The main problems of development of higher education system in Ukraine were identified, consisting of imperfect management mechanisms, inefficient system of financing and incomplete implementation of processes of academic autonomy defined by law. The main approaches to reforming the higher education system in Ukraine were analysed, as a result of which the role of the public administration system in the regulation and coordination of higher education institutions were determined. Today this system is not flexible and therefore cannot be effective. The creation of approaches to the rating of higher education institutions determines the format of redistribution of funds in the system of state financing of education. This system will motivate educational institutions to improve the quality of the educational process, research activities, academic mobility, partnerships, the level of material and technical resources of the educational process, the level of employment of graduates in the specialty and the like. These indicators provide motivation to improve the performance of higher education institutions, but do not fully solve the problem of lack of funding, in particular for innovation. Low pay for faculty members also affects the educational process negatively. Thus, the article gives recommendations on the possibility of increasing the effectiveness of the system of state management of universities, which consists in creating opportunities to attract financial resources of partners of higher educational institutions, cooperation of education and business, simplification of the system of development of grants and financial cooperation with foreign educational institutions

Aim. To reveal the features of the process of academic mobility as a factor in the  sustainability of the higher education system (in the example of the Republic of  Kazakhstan). Discussion. The organisation of student academic mobility is determined by the  students striving to move for the purpose of academic exchange in the educational  space and social adaptation in the framework of this process. The modeling of the  organisation of academic mobility of students in higher education is a specific cognitive method in which the object of study is imitated in a model. A model of the academic mobility of students is presented in this article together with an exposition of  its structural components and functionality.   Conclusion. In the current situation in Kazakhstan outgoing academic mobility is of  the greatest priority and acts as a mechanism to develop the intellectual potential  and skills of the population. Incoming student mobility in Kazakhstan occupies a less  significant position because of the weak material and technical base of Kazakhstan  universities, underdeveloped services and infrastructure, limited abilities to provide  education in English and visa restrictions. All this negatively affects the competitiveness of the Kazakhstan higher education system. In considering the indicators of  international student exchange in the states of the Customs Union of the Eurasian  Economic Union, it should be noted that outgoing mobility in Kazakhstan is more  than two times higher than incoming, which impacts on the competitiveness of  Kazakhstan universities in international mobility ratings. Effective organisation of  the academic mobility of students in Kazakhstan will contribute to an increase in the  influx of foreign students to its universities. It will also contribute to the formation  of competitive specialists and their participation in the development of an advanced  society and a knowledge‐based economy in the context of globalization, internationalisation and sustainable development.

After first surveying the development of academic studies of Islam within the modern Turkish higher education system, this essay provides an inventory of material that has been translated from Western languages into Turkish. It is inevitable that orientalist studies will have a place of tremendous importance in this analysis. However, approaches to the Qur'an and its exegesis which have been developed under the influence of the Western scientific and cultural world encompass a larger range of literature that includes not only the orientalist studies themselves but also the criticisms directed against these studies. Particular attention is paid to the work of Fazlur Rahman and Arab scholars influenced by Western methods, and an assessment of the various issues related to the critique of orientalist works is provided.
