Abstrak. Membanjirnya iklan produk fashion di berbagai media dan mudahnya mendapatkan produk pakaian, membuat keputusan berbelanja anak-anak muda lebih didasarkan pada aspek emosi. Keputusan berbelanja seringkali dimaksudkan untuk mendapatkan gengsi atau penghargaan dari orang lain dapat mendorong mereka melakukan belanja kompulsif.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran avoidance coping dalam memediasi hubungan antara contingent self-esteem dengan belanja kompulsif pakaian. Subjek   penelitian ini berjumlah 276 mahasiswi Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang Angkatan 2018 yang diambil dengan teknik stratified sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam proses pengumpulan data adalah: skala Contingent Self-esteem (CSE), skala Coping Respon Inventoty (CRI)  dan skala  belanja kompulsif pakaian.  Analisis data dilakukan dengan metode  Mediation Analysis dari Hyes menunjukkan  bahwa avoidance coping mampu memediasi hubungan antara contingent self-esteem dengan belanja kompulsif yang ditunjukkan dengan B=0.322; dengan p=0.006 (<0.01).Kata Kunci: avoidance coping, contingent self-esteem, belanja kompulsif Abstract. The flood of advertisements on fashion products in various media and the ease of getting clothing products, makes the decision to shop for young people more based on emotional aspects. Shopping decisions are often meant to get prestige or appreciation from others, which can encourage them to do compulsive shopping. This study aims to determine the role of avoidance coping in mediating the relationship between contingent self-esteem and compulsive shopping for clothing. The subject of this study amounted to 276 female students at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang Force 2018 taken by stratified sampling technique. The measures used were: Contingent Self-esteem (CSE) scale, Inventory Response Coping scale (CRI) and clothing compulsive shopping scale. Data analysis was performed by the Mediation Analysis method from Hyes showed that avoidance coping was able to mediate the relationship between contingent self-esteem and compulsive spending as indicated by B=0.322; with p=0.006 (<0.01).             The main problem faced by the new students is the pressure on themselves that affects academics and non-academics. This pressure makes new students  feeling of uncomfortable caused by new environment which called a culture shock. A person who experiences a culture shock will affect their physical and emotional condition. Someone who has negative feelings about themselves and others can cause individuals to experience low self-esteem. This study aims to analyze the relationship between culture shock and the self-esteem of new students outside Java at the University of Jember. The researcher used quantitative cross-sectional analytical research design, using purposive sampling technique to get a sample of 106 students, and using culture culture shock and the Self Esteem Inventory (SEI) questionnaire. The results of the study using the tau_b kendall statistical test obtained the value p = 0.330 and r = -0.093 so that p> α. So, there is no surprising cultural connection with the self-esteem of new students outside Java at the University of Jember. Suggestions from this study are expected that educational institutions can provide training, development and psychological assistance as long as students undergo an adaptation process in a new environment

This research was conducted to find out the relationship between the patient and self-esteem with the aggressiveness of a football supporters because many phenomena that occur as a result of the aggressive behavior of soccer supporters that are often negative and harming others. The subjects in this research there were as many as 102 football supporters with snow ball sampling technique. This study used three scales, the scale of patience, self-esteem scale and scale of agressiveness. Form of the scale used is Likert scale. Hypothesis testing is done by using multiple regression of analysis. The results showed that the analysis results sig 0.000 < 0.05, or higher score of patience and higher score of self-esteem in a football supporter, can be a predictor of low score of aggressiveness.

Higher education is one of the conditions of independent life for disabled people, a condition of their social and labor rehabilitation. Health problems are not the only serious obstacles to vocational education. No less important are the barriers in the educational environment of the University and barriers in relationships with others. It is noted that most of the difficulties in the learning process of students with disabilities are associated with their psychological characteristics - the presence of negative experiences and attitudes, the level of self-esteem, the features of life orientations. Depending on the severity of psychological characteristics, different variants of the relationship of students with disabilities with other students are possible: from full integration to disintegration and opposition behavior. It was suggested that the nature of the relationship and especially value-semantic readiness for vocational education in higher inclusive education can largely determine the prospects of personal and professional development of students with disabilities. An empirical study of peculiarities of value orientations of students with disabilities (N = 50) and students without disabilities (N = 50) was conducted using the technique of G. N. Kuznetsova on the General self-identity, self-esteem scale of Rosenberg and test of life-meaningful orientations D. A. Leontiev.

Interest in abusive supervision (Tepper, 2000) has increased due to its serious personal andorganizational costs. As such, there is a need for additional studies that identify the individuals’ factorsthat can minimize the adverse effects of abusive supervision.Specifically, we predict employee self-esteem as a buffer of the relationship between abusivesupervision, organizational trust and in-role behaviors. Additionally, we suggest organizational trustas a possible mechanism linking abusive supervision to in-role behaviors. Our model was exploredamong a sample of 201 supervisor-subordinate dyads from different organizational settings. The resultsof the moderated mediation analysis supported our hypotheses. That is, abusive supervision wassignificantly related to in-role behaviors via organizational trust when employees’ self-esteem waslow, but not when it was high. These findings suggest that self-esteem buffers the impact of abusivesupervision perceptions on organizational trust, with consequences for performance.

World Health Organization (WHO) announced that anxiety disorders are ranked as the sixth-largest contributor to non-fatal health loss globally, and these disorders are most prevalent during a human’s emerging adulthood period. Emerging adulthood is an individual’s life stage that roughly lasts from ages 18 to 25. This study aims to find out the mediating effect of self-esteem on the relationship between materialism and anxiety of emerging adults living in Yogyakarta. For data collection, we used a quota sampling technique which involved 332 emerging adults aged 18 to 25 years. Participants were measured with Richins and Dawson’s Materialistic Value Scale, Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale, and Beck Anxiety Inventory. These scales were distributed to the research participants via online questionnaires. A causal step approach was used in mediation regression analysis to test the hypothesis. Research results showed that the hypothesis was accepted: self-esteem partially mediated materialism and anxiety, although the mediation was minimal.

  This study aimed to determine the relationship between adversity quotient with entrepreneural intention in student of Jambi University. This study used a quantitative research method with a correlational research approach. Sampling used Accidental sampling technique. This research was conducted at the University of Jambi. The subjects used in this study were 110 student of Jambi University. This study used the scale of adversity quotient and entrepreneurial intention, and the analytical method used is the Pearson's Product Moment correlation technique. This study shows there is a significant positive relationship between the two variables. The contribution to the value of the correlation coefficient (r) is 0.516 with p equal to 0.001 (p <0.05). The coefficient of determination (R2) in this study, adversity quotient contributed as much as 26.6% to the intention of entrepreneurship, while 73.4% of the others were contributions from other factors that were not the focus of this study.This variable correlation has a positive direction indicating the higher the adversity quotient, the higher the intention of entrepreneurship will be. Student who have been known to have adversity uotient and high entrepreuneral intention, can be directed and facilitated by the university to take part in entrepeuneral programs. Abstract: This study aims to determine the relationship between self esteem and self regulation with fear of missing out. The research design used is descriptive correlational. The research sample amounted to 154 students obtained through purposive sampling technique. The instruments used are self esteem scale, self regulation scale and fear of missing out scale which have been tested for validity and reliability. The analysis technique used is Pearson Product Moment correlation and multiple correlation. The results showed that there was no relationship between self esteem and self regulation with fear of missing out students of SMA Negeri 7 Malang. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self esteem dan self regulation dengan fear of missing out. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif korelasional. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 154 siswa yang diperoleh melalui teknik pengambilan sampel sampling purposive. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah skala self esteem, skala self regulation dan skala fear of missing out yang telah teruji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Teknik analisis yang digunakan korelasi Pearson Product Moment dan korelasi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan antara self esteem dan self regulation dengan fear of missing out siswa SMA Negeri 7 Malang.

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between attachment style, self-esteem and social anxiety among adolescence. Attachment style, self-esteem, and social anxiety scales were used to collect data from students of class X in a senior high school in Madiun, East Java. Using purposive sampling technique, 58 students were chosen to participate in this study. Path analysis was employed to examine the relationship between attachment style, self-esteem and social anxiety; attachment style and social anxiety; and self-esteem and social anxiety.The result showed that there are negative correlation between attachment style, self-esteem and social anxiety. Attachment style have both direct and indirect effect to social anxiety while self-esteem only have a direct effect to social anxiety.Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji hubungan antara attachment style dan self-esteem dengan kecemasan sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasi. Peneliti menggunakan skala attachment style, self-esteem, dan kecemasan sosial sebagai instrumen untuk mengumpulkan data. Data diambil dari siswa SMA Negeri 1 Dagangan Madiun, yang duduk di kelas X. Peneliti mengukur attachment style, self-esteem dan kecemasan sosial pada 58 siswa yang telah terpilih dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Dilakukan analisis jalur untuk menguji hubungan antara attachment style dan self-esteem dengan kecemasan sosial, attachment style dengan kecemasan sosial, dan self-esteem dengan kecemasan sosial. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara attachment style dan self-esteem dengan kecemasan sosial. Attachment style memiliki pengaruh langsung maupun tidak langsung terhadap kecemasan sosial sementara self-esteem hanya memiliki hubungan langsung terhadap kecemasan sosial.

This study aims to find, analyze and examine the relationship between the discipline oflearning and achievement with behavior in maintaining the cleanliness of the environment.The study design used in this study was student class of 2011 Program StudiesEconomics Education / Administration Commerce Teacher Training and Education Facultyof the University of Siliwangi Tasikmalaya totaling 193 people. The sampling techniqueused in this study is proportional random sampling technique, the sample size of 60 people.Instrument in this study using a questionnaire to learn discipline and student behaviorquestionnaire in maintaining the cleanliness of the environment. While the data analysistechniques used were correlation analysis, simple and multiple regression.The results showed that the discipline variables studied included strong categories,including categories of academic achievement variable low and variable behavior of studentsin maintaining the cleanliness of the environment, including strong category.There is a relationship between the discipline of studying the behavior of students inmaintaining the cleanliness of the campus. This can be evidenced by the acquisition of an rvalue of 0.767 and a strong cohesion category contributes by 58.8%. The better the disciplineof learning, the better the behavior of students in maintaining the cleanliness of the campus.There is a relationship between the behavior of student achievement in maintaining thecleanliness of the campus. This can be evidenced by the acquisition of an r value of 0.319and a low of closeness category contributed 10.1%.The better achievement, the better thebehavior of students in maintaining the cleanliness of the campus.There is a relationshipbetween the discipline of learning and academic achievement with student behavior inmaintaining the cleanliness of the campus. This can be evidenced by the acquisition of an rvalue of 0.781 and a strong cohesion category contributes 61%. The better the discipline oflearning and the achievement of learning, the better the behavior of students in maintainingthe cleanliness of the campus.
