Inventory management without Material Requirement systems in CV. Bangun Cipta Artha resulted in the lot size for each order of raw materials not optimal. One concept that can be used to plan and control raw materials is the Material Requirement Planning. This study is to determine the number of sizes of raw material orders, the exact order time, the method that produces the lowest cost for each raw material, and the effect of using MRP on inventory costs. This research conducted on 160x200cm spring bed products. Data was analyzed by making production master schedules, determining net requirements, determining lot size, and making MRP tables. Based on the results, the determination the best lot sizing is the order quantiy period which results in a total inventory cost of Rp. 26,475,220 where the total cost is lower, compared to lot for lot method which Rp. 43,464,000. part period balancing Rp. 33,106,576, and conventional method Rp.49,472,912. PT. Blambangan Foodpackers Indonesia is one of the big companies in the Banyuwangi area and is a company engaged in the manufacturing industry that is a company processing canned fish. The number of constraints in planning raw material inventories that cause the occurrence of excess or accumulation of raw materials and shortages causes freezing of operational costs. The implementation of the material requirement planning (MRP) system is expected to be able to find out the optimal amount of raw material inventory and the right ordering time to meet production needs with optimal costs. This study was aimed to determine the exact lot size technique based on inventory costs and to compare the MRP method with inventory in the company based on total inventory costs. The research method used was the determination of the lot size and MRP system. The results showed that the lot for lot method for ASCK cans, ASCB cans, ASTB cans, and pasta, while EOQ for ASTK cans, ASEPK cans, sugar, salt and flour. The MRP system in each raw material can be used as an indicator to minimize total inventory costs when compared to the company's method during the previous period.

This study analyzes a stochastic continuous review inventory system (Q,r) using a simulation-based optimization model. The lead time depends on lot size, unit production time, setup time, and a shop floor factor that represents moving, waiting, and lot size inspection times. A simulation-based model is proposed for optimizing order quantity (Q) and reorder point (r) that minimize the total inventory costs (holding, backlogging, and ordering costs) in a two-echelon supply chain, which consists of two identical retailers, a distributor, and a supplier. The simulation model is created with Arena software and validated using an analytical model. The model is interfaced with the OptQuest optimization tool, which is embedded in the Arena software, to search for the least cost lot sizes and reorder points. The proposed model is designed for general demand distributions that are too complex to be solved analytically. Hence, for the first time, the present study considers the stochastic inventory continuous review policy (Q,r) in a two-echelon supply chain system with lot size-dependent lead time L(Q). An experimental study is conducted, and results are provided to assess the developed model. Results show that the optimized Q and r for different distributions of daily demand are not the same even if the associated total inventory costs are close to each other.

Controlling the bullwhip effect and reducing the propagated inventory levels throughout the supply chain layers has an important role in reducing the total inventory costs of a supply chain. In this study, an optimal controller that considers demand as control variable is designed to dampen propagated inventory fluctuations for each node throughout the supply chain network. The model proves to be very useful in revealing the dynamic characteristics of the chain and provides a proper interface to study decisions taken into account at each node of the supply chain in different periods by decision makers (DMs). In the proposed approach, two feedback loops and online updated values of net stock quantities are used for calculation of the orders. To investigate the efficiency of the proposed approach, a real case of bicycle industry is conducted. The acquired results justify the efficiency of the proposed approach in controlling and dampening the bullwhip effect and reducing inventory levels, net stock quantities and inventory attributed costs throughout the supply chain network layers.

Inventory is one of the current assets that can be classified as company assets. But in reality, inventory often turns into an operational problem that can affect the company's overall performance. This problem occurs due to the incorrect determination of the amount of inventory. Both excess and shortage of inventory can lead to cost overruns. This study applies the Wagner Whitin Algorithm and the Silver-Meal method in the lot-sizing process and the ABC (Always Better Control) method in determining the classification of raw materials at PT. X. Using the ABC method, it is known that the ADC-12 Ingot item has a very significant effect to inventory. Inventory optimization using the Wagner Whitin Algorithm and the Silver-Meal method resulted in the optimal frequency of ordering ADC-12 Ingots is 9 times and the total inventory cost is 994,098,000 IDR as well as inventory cost savings of around 18,403,180 IDR or 1.8% of the cost of existing inventory.

The optimalization of raw materials supply is intended to meet the needs of raw materials for the process of the production process the future; the activity of controlling raw materials manages the implementation of necessary supply in accordance with the required amount and minimal cost, which includes the problem of purchasing raw materials, storing and maintaining materials, controlling the output of the material when materials are needed and maintaining the optimal supply amount. The raw material supply control can be analyzed using the EOQ method as one of the choices in comparing the implemented company policies. This research was conducted at Agronas Gizi Food. The analysis technique used is by comparing the results of company policy calculation and the EOQ method. The calculation of company policy includes the cost of ordering  (S) with the results of Rp. 183,800 / order, supply costs (H) with a result of Rp.859 / Kg, total inventory costs (TIC) that must be spent Rp.5,689,560, the frequency of purchase 30 times, with an average purchase of 1500 kg / year while the calculation method EOQ includes economical purchases (Q*) with results of 4198 kg, frequency of purchases (F) with the result 10 times a year, total inventory costs (TIC) with the result of Rp.3,605,795, safety stock Rp.3,605,795, and ROP 234 Kg. Based on the analysis technique on raw material for potato chips in Agronas Gizi Food, it can be concluded that it is not optimal because the calculation the results of company policies are greater than the EOQ method.

AbstractInventory of raw materials is an essential activity in the production process. In this paper, the model considers the quantity and order period. In this model, a single buyer buys several raw materials from one supplier. The demand for raw materials is deterministic and varies for a period of time. Besides, the message costs and save costs for the planning period are fixed. We have developed dynamic programming models to overcome this problem. This dynamic programming model was developed from the Wagner-Whitin algorithm. The proposed dynamic program model considers multi items and warehouse capacity constraints. To test the performance of the model, researchers conducted some numerical experiments. The numerical experimental results of the dynamic programming model suggest that the total inventory cost is more optimal compared to the EOQ method. The results of this experiment indicate the proposed model effectively minimizes the total cost of inventory. Keywords: Multi Item; Inventory; Wagner Whitin; Warehouse Constraints; Dynamic Programming

This study aims to analyze the stock inventory control of Mie Dzohir's raw materials in Bengkulu. The analytical method used is Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Reorder Point (ROP), Total Inventory Cost (TIC) and Safety Stock (SS). The results showed that to meet the raw material needs of 91,375 kg during the research period, from January 2020 to December 2020 (12 months), the number of economical purchases/EOQ of wheat flour raw materials that had to be made by the Mie Dzohir factory in Bengkulu was as much as 5,372 kg for each order with a purchase frequency of 17 times for a period from January 2020 to December 2020. Reorders or reorder points (ROP) can also be determined, namely reordering should be done when 345 kg of inventory is in warehouse, with a lead time of 1 days so as not to hamper the company's production process. The total inventory cost (TIC) can also be determined, namely the total cost of raw material inventory of Rp. 3.572.188, - therefore, it can save on inventory costs of Rp. 1.051.697,- .Safety stock (SS) of 95 kg which must be in the warehouse, this is intended therefore, there is no shortage of wheat flour raw materials if there is a delay in the delivery of raw materials.
