Introduction. Cystadenofibromas are tumors of the ovary which originate from the surface coelomic epithelium. Benign mucinous cystadenofibroma is a very rare form of these tumors, which consists of dominant stromal component of the connective tissue and one or more cysts. Case report. The case of a 62-year-old female with tumor of right ovary is reported in this paper. Histologically, tumor of the ovary had multilocular cystic formation, lined by a single-layer of mucoproductive cylindrical epithelium - endocervical type. In one area of tumor, the stromal component was abundant and made from partially hyalinised dense connective tissue. Mucinous cystadenofibroma was diagnosed on the basis of histological examination. Since the mucinous type of cystadenofibroma or adenofibroma is rare, this case has been chosen to be presented. Conclusion. Mucinous cystadenofibromas are differentially- diagnostically very similar to different malignant tumors and it is extremely important to make correct diagnosis of these neoplasms.

AbstractFibrosarcomas are malignant tumors of the connective tissue, which are characterized by proliferation of fibroblasts. Most of these tumors are localized subcutaneously and cause different symptoms depending on their location. The case report describes a dermal tumor on the outside of the pinna in a 7-year-old female Cashmere goat. The tumor was surgically removed and histopathological examination revealed a low grade fibrosarcoma. Although tumors are rare in ruminants because of the animals’ short lifespan (age of slaughtering in most cases < 24 months) in modern production processes, they should be considered as a differential diagnosis.

Presacral myelolipomas are rare, benign, asymptomatic tumors composed of mature adipose tissue and hematopoietic elements, but fewer than 50 cases have been reported in the literature. They are usually discovered incidentally during imaging studies and are often misdiagnosed as liposarcoma, which have a malignant nature, because the imaging findings of myelolipoma can be similar to those of liposarcoma. It is challenging to distinguish presacral myelolipomas from other presacral fat-containing tumors without performing a histological examination. We should consider the possibility of a malignant tumor, and imaging-guided biopsy carries a risk of tumor spread along the biopsy tract. Therefore, surgical management might sometimes be required; however, it is not necessary in all cases. We present an incidentally detected case of presacral myelolipoma that was difficult to differentiate from other malignant tumors in a 71-year-old male.

BACKGROUND: Chronic pelvic pain syndrome / chronic abacterial prostatitis is one of the most common diseases in urological practice. Despite its frequency the pathogenesis of the disease remains poorly understood. It is known that the morphological manifestation of chronic inflammation is sclerosis, in the development of which the venous congestion of the prostate is also important. AIM: To evaluate the effect of chronic venous congestion of the pelvis on the prostate in a chronic experiment. MATERIALS AND METHODS: An original model of persistent chronic varicose of the pelvis has been created. The experiment was carried out on 35 mature rabbits weighing 2.63.2 kg. Animals were divided into 3 groups. Control (n = 5) study of the normal anatomy of animals. In group 2 (n = 15), the creation of a model: ligation of the v. sacralis mediana, in combination with administration of progesterone solution. In group 3 (n = 15), false surgery and progesterone administration. Duplex scanning of the pelvic veins was performed at 1, 3 and 6 months, the diameter of the veins and the reflux after manual compression was assessed. After removing the animals from the experiment histological examination and morphometry of the prostate tissue were carried out. In prostate samples the concentration of hydroxyproline was investigated as a marker of connective tissue development. RESULTS: Venous congestion of the pelvic organs in animals in the second group negatively affected the structure of the prostate gland. Histological examination of the samples showed infiltration of the prostate tissue, edema of the stroma, a sharp expansion of the veins at the beginning of the experiment, later noted the proliferation of connective tissue, compression of the acini and a decrease in the secretory activity of the prostate gland. The results of morphometry showed an increase in the area of the stromal component to a greater extent due to an increase in the volume of connective tissue. There was a tendency to an increase in the concentration of hydroxyproline in the prostate tissue in animals of the 2nd group with the achievement of maximum values by the 6th month of the experiment. In animals of the 3rd group no significant changes in the structure of the prostate gland were revealed. CONCLUSIONS: The morphological manifestation of chronic venous hyperemia is infiltration of the prostate stroma and sclerogenesis.

Myxoma is a benign myxoid tumor of connective tissue that develops primarily in the heart. At the level of the external auditory canal, it is extremely rare. It can be isolated or associated with Carney syndrome. Only 5 cases of isolated myxoma of the external auditory canal have been reported in the literature. We present the case of a 53-year-old patient who consulted for a hearing loss that has been evolving for 3 years. Otoscopy revealed a mass filling the external auditory canal. The scan showed a total filling of the external auditory canal with a homogenous sessile neoformation of 20 × 10 mm. This mass was completely resected and the histological examination showed spindle-shaped and star-shaped cells against an abundant myxoid background, which was consistent with myxoma. All the tests, done to eliminate Carney syndrome, did not reveal any abnormalities. The postoperative course was favorable, and no complications were noted. The patient was under follow-up. There was no recurrence 1 year after surgery.

Primary intraosseous meningioma (PIM) is a rare form of meningioma, a benign lesion of the meninges. Imaging evaluation of a patient with frontoparietal scalp swelling revealed an osteoblastic intracalvarial lesion. Following surgical resection, the histological examination revealed an intra-osseous meningioma. Birdem Med J 2021; 11(2): 133-136

Cavernous hemangiomas are benign tumours of mesodermal origin. Even though various localizations of hemangioma have been described in the literature, its occurrence in the greater omentum is very rare. Only symptomatic hemangiomas are indicated for surgical treatment. There are case reports presenting resection or surgical removal of the greater omentum with hemangioma because of mechanical syndrome, consumption coagulopathy, bleeding, infection or suspicion of a malignancy. This article presents a case report of a patient operated on for a suspicion of carcinomatosis of the greater omentum. Histological examination found hemangiomatosis in the resected greater omentum.

A posztoperatív pajzsmirigyműködés normális maradt.

The Gingival recession is considered a multi-factorial. The etiology may be an anatomically vulnerable area, faulty tooth brushing, high frenum attachment. In cases where there is progressive recession, aesthetics concern or increasing dentinal hypersensitivity, we can do recession coverage. Depending upon the presence or absence of adequate keratinized tissue we can choose the technique. In case of adequate width of keratinized tissue, usually we can do displaced flap and in case where there is inadequate width, we can do gingival grafting.
