In present study the researcher investigated the level of job satisfaction among the private and government school teachers. Total 200 government and private school teachers were taken from Ranchi town. In this research, 100 government and 100 private school teachers, 200 in total, working in different government and private schools were examined. Job satisfaction scale developed by Muthayya (1973) was used to measured job satisfaction. To test the hypotheses ‘t’ test was calculated. Result showed that there was no significant difference between government and private school teachers. Furthermore, it was again revealed that there was no significant difference in the level of job satisfaction of male and female school teachers.

Many studies have been carried out on the job satisfaction of employees at various organizational levels all over the world. However, little is known about the government versus private schools in district Malakand Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This study compares the perceptions of private versus government school teachers job satisfaction related to its six component i.e, pay and promotion, job security, workload, supervision, work condition and nature of work. A questionnaire was used for data collection. The data were collected from 100 teachers both public and private schools on a convenient sample basis. This study showed that there was a significant difference among the job satisfaction level of teachers in private versus public schools on the job satisfaction scale. the results of the study showed that government school teachers were more satisfied with their jobs than the privately run school teachers on most of the dimensions of the scale.

This paper compares job satisfaction of private and public school teachers in Peshawar. Sample comprised of sixty (N=60) teachers of both genders ranging in age from 25-50 years. Thirty (n=30) were public school teachers including fifteen (n=15 male) and fifteen (n=15) female teachers, thirty (n=30) private school teachers they included fifteen (n=15) male and fifteen (n=15) female teachers. The data was collected through non-probability sampling technique from Mardan city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. A questionnaire was constructed for the purpose of measuring Job satisfaction for teachers. The alpha reliability coefficient was significantly high, thus ensuring the reliability of the scale. The results showed that public teachers are more satisfied with their job as compared to teachers working in private schools. It was further revealed that there was no significant difference between male and female teachers working in public schools and private schools.

The aim of this research paper is to find out job satisfaction among male and female teachers in Faridabad schools. Total number of 100 teachers was assigned in two groups of male and female teachers in primary and senior sections. A survey type study was designed to find out the job satisfaction and occupational stress among teachers. In this study the tool was used Job Satisfaction Scale (J.S.S) by Dr. Amar Singh and Dr. D. R. Sharma. Data was treated by Mean, SD, and T-Test. The finding of the study revealed that there was a significant difference among teachers in their job satisfaction and occupational stress.

Teaching is a highly noble profession and teachers are always a boon to the society. The ultimate process of education could be simplified as a meaningful interaction between the teacher and the taught. The teacher thus plays a direct and crucial role in molding a pupil towards education. Since a teacher is a role model for the students, job satisfaction and professional commitment of teachers become very vital in the fields of education. Thus the researcher felt the need to investigate the job satisfaction in relation to professional commitment of secondary school teachers. The sample of this study consisted of 300 teachers selected from Punjab in India. Job Satisfaction Scale standardized by Dr. (Mrs.) Meera Dixit (1993) and Professional Commitment scale developed by Dr. Ravinder Kaur and Sarabjit Kaur (2011) was administered to collect the data. The result indicates that there exists a significant difference between male and female secondary school teachers in their job satisfaction and there exists no significant difference between male and female secondary school teachers in their professional commitment. Further result shows that there exists positive significant relationship between job satisfaction and professional commitment. This proves that job satisfaction and professional commitment are significantly related to each other.

BACKGROUND & OBJECTIVE: Healthy work environment is required to provide high quality teaching. Few studies regarding occupational stress and burnout in Indian schools have been conducted. The study aims to determine and compare the occupational stress level and professional burnout in teachers working in private and government schools. 120 private school teachers and 120 government school teachers recruited for this study.METHODS: Chi square test, Student independent t test and ANOVA used for data analysis have been used.RESULTS: Stress level and burnout level are varies significantly between male and female Indian school. (Chi square value 26.27 and p Value 0.001 in male and chi square value 38.06 and p value 0.001 in female). Government schools (Least Likely 5±0.0, More Likely 10.82±1.99, Most Prone Stress 16.15 ±1.84 have significant difference among them) have higher stress level than Private schools (Least Likely 4.00±1.41, More Likely 9.86±2.29, Most Prone Stress 15.66±1.34 have significant difference among them). Governmental schools having more stress (14.33±3.24) compare to Private schools (13.34±3.51), (t=2.26, p =0.023). Similarly the burnout also having the more in government schools (59.43±11.78) compare to private schools (48.61±11.94), (t=7.07, p=0.001).CONCLUSIONS: The government teachers have more occupational stress compared to the private school teachers in India. Leaders and decision makers required to make early identification and counseling about different factors that influence stress level in private and Government school teachers.

Aim of the research is to find out the Psychological Well-being among School teachers. So investigator selected two groups one is government school teachers  and other is  non government school teachers, both groups have 400 persons. In one group has 200 and other one groups has 200 persons. The all subjects were randomly selected. Data were collected from Ahmadabad district. Scale was use for data collection is personal datasheet and Psychological Well-being scale developed by Bhogale and Prakash (1995), and data were analysis by “f” test. Result show, There is no significant difference between the psychological well-being of government and non government school teachers. There is no significant difference between the psychological well-being of male and female and urban and rural area.

The main objective of the present study is to examine the job satisfaction among government and private employees. A sample of 60 male and female employees was drawn randomly drawn from the population. The Generic Job Satisfaction Scale: Scale Development and Its Correlates, developed by Scott Macdonald and Peter Maclntyre (1997) was used for data collection. Data was collected by face to face interview method from the target population from different originations of Anand district. Mean, standard deviation and t-test were calculated for the analysis of data. Results indicate that there is no significant difference among government and private employees in job satisfaction.

Scale was use for data collection is personal datasheet and Insecurity scale developed by Indian Adaption of Maslow’s security insecurity feeling inventory constructed and standardized Tasmeen Nagvi, and data were analysis by “F” test. Result show, There is no significant difference between the Insecurity of government and non government school teachers. There is no significant difference between the Insecurity of male and female and urban and rural area.

The sustainability of any organisation depends on the retention of its employees which in turn depends on their satisfaction level.  In this study the researcher had investigated the satisfaction levels of private and government school teachers handling primary children. For this research, 50 Government school teachers and 50 Private school teachers, totally 100 teachers, from different schools in Thanjavur city were examined. This study compares the satisfaction levels of the private and government school teachers based on ten variables which are found to influence them. This study also reveals that the demographic factors such as age, qualification, gender, marital status and work experience makes no difference in the job satisfaction levels of teachers.  Ten factors such as Opportunity to advance professionally, Income, Recognition, Job Security, Colleagues, Working Conditions, Respect, Personal growth, Management and Immediate supervisor were considered to measure the job satisfaction and it is proved that the job security is the most significant factor among the ten factors which influences job satisfaction.

An attempt was made in the present investigation AIM: Job satisfaction among high school teachers. OBJECTIVE: To assess the impact gender, job tenure and type of management on Job satisfaction among high school teachers. SAMPLE: A sample of 1200 high school teachers from different government and private schools in erstwhile Warangal district of Telangana state. Tool: The Job Satisfaction Scale developed by Karanam Bahaboobuvali & Vijaya Vardhani (2013) was used. CONCLUSIONS: There is no signicant impact of gender on job satisfaction among high school teachers. Teachers with long job tenure have high job satisfaction than the teacher with short job tenure and Teachers working in government schools have high job satisfaction than the teachers working in private schools.
