The aim of the work was to conduct the complex evaluation of the state of heterospecific resistance and stress steadiness of organism of calves. Materials and methods of researches. A complex scheme was approved for determination of heterospecific resistance of farm animals, which includes application of haematological and immunobiological researches. The work was carried out in "Khrystynivske" breeding farmat the calves of Ukrainian Red-and-White Dairy breed (n = 20) at the age of 2 months. The father of all the investigated calves was bull Inhibitor 402151. Heterospecific resistance of calves was determined by generally accepted methods. The amount of leucocytes and erythrocytes of blood, phagocytic activity of leucocytes and phagocytosis intensity, lysozyme and bactericidal activity of serum were determined. The adapted eosinophilic test on stress steadiness and histamine test were applied for determination of general immunoreactiveness as a screening test for farm animals. The biometrical processing of data was carried out using М. A. Plokhinskiy method and software Microsoft Excel and Statistica6.0. Results of researches. Phagocytic activity of blood leucocytes, on average, was about 56%, and phagocytosis intensity– 3,5±0,56 microbial cells absorbed by an active leucocyte. The average relative bulge of skin fold (Rv) was about 52% at carrying out histamine test. It is stated that 57% of the investigated animals had a normal immune response, about 24% – mionectic, and 2 heifers were in immunosuppression state. There were 3 individuals with high immunoreactiveness (Rv≥100%). Indexes of bactericidal activity of serum at the investigated calves were from 2,6% to 82%, and on average it was 33,7%±4,9 (р<0,001), and activity of lysozyme was from 1,4% to 83,1% and 21,6%±4,8 (р<0,001) on average. It is noted, that animals which had lower live weight at birth were characterized by lower level of bactericidal activity of serum. Rectilinear correlation dependence between the indexes of phagocytic activity of leucocytes and bactericidal activity of serum (r=+0,54±0,16; р<0,001) was revealed. Positive correlation between bactericidal and lysozyme activity of serum (r=+0, 61±0,15; р<0,001) was found. Weak, but significant correlation between the relative bulge of skin fold (Rv) and phagocytic activity of leucocytes indicates that a histamine test is the adequate marker of heterospecific resistance. The animals which had the greatest live weight at birth were characterized by the greatest level of phagocytic activity of leucocytes of blood, and positive correlation between live weight of new-born calves and indexes of phagocytic activity of leucocytes of blood (r = +0,28 ± 0,13 р<0,01) indicates it. An inverse correlation was also revealed between live weight at the age of 2 months and relative bulge of skin fold (r=-0, 18±0,11; р<0,05), which specifies in the presence of growth delay of calves which are characterized by mionectic reactivity in relation to a heterospecific irritant (histamine). The data of eosinophilic test showed that stress-sensitive individuals were about 58 %. The analysis of variance showed reliable influence of a stress status on live weight at the age of 2 months (Р<0,05) and influence of immunoreactiveness on live weight at the age of 6 months (Р<0,05). It should be noted in addition, that impact of a stress status on live weight at the age of 12 months approached to reliable value (Р=0,06). In general, there was declining of force of influence of both factors on live weight with age. Reliable dependence of a stress status and immunoreactiveness on age of first insemination and age of first calving wasn’t revealed. Conclusions. Individual variability on the indexes of natural resistance and high level of heterospecific resistance in the most of the investigated calves were revealed in progeny of bull Inhibitor. The analysis of variance revealed direct influence of heterospecific resistance on the indexes of individual development of animals. There are pre-conditions in relation to screening application of histamine test and eosinophilic test as informing and economic accessible ones for determination of level of heterospecific resistance and stress steadiness in the system of complex estimation of specifics of pedigree resources.

Statistical processing of the generated MS "Excel" on indicators of non-specific resistance database was carried out with the aim of studying the dynamics of the development of immunity in terms of bactericidal, lysozyme and phagocytic activity in black-and-white cattle of different ages. It was found that the average values of indicators of lysozyme and bactericidal activity in calves at 6 months were lower (47.89% and 49.09%, respectively) than in animals at the age of 3—4 years (53.75% and 52.81%). The equation of regression was derived, it describes the relationship between the average indicators of phagocytic activity and the age with a high degree of reliability (R2=0.90). The changes in lysozyme and bactericidal activity depending on age were dubious (R2=0.58 and R2=0.49, respectively). The high correlation between bactericidal and lysozyme activity was established. It was noticed that the cows of different age groups experienced the dynamics of changes in nonspecific immunity. The creation of databases and constant monitoring of the main indicators of natural resistance, depending on various factors (breed, age, stages of lactation, feeding, methods of keeping) that affect these indicators, is necessary for assessing the physiological state of the animals’ body of and their resistance to diseases.

Organization of the system of conduct of breeding process during consolidation of the new-created types of domestic animals is not possible without application of all complex of genetic and statistic parameters, determining the condition, effectiveness and further progress of breeding work in active part of population. The special place is given to widespread use of analysis of variance, giving possibility to substantiate the results of experiments in stock-breeding and also to reveal statistically influence on changeability of a trait, which is studied, as for each factor separately and sofor their total action. Study wascarried out on materials of primary zootechnic and breeding accounting of sheep at "Runo" SE experimental farm of Dnepropetrovsk region. The program of researches included information about condition of basic economic-useful traits of ewes and their daughters and determination of character of their inheritance depending on condition and development of these traits at ewes. The analysis of variance was conducted on the basis of determination of degree of influence, as for three basic quantitative traitsin common, and so for each oneseparately, in general changeability of a trait. The importance of relationship of the investigated organized factors (live weight, length of wool, wool clip) at mothers was determined on the inheritance of the traits by their daughters by the method of three-factor analysis of variance. This method was offered by R. Fisher, its basis is decomposition of general dispersion on components consisting of the organized and casual factors. Primary material of researches was worked out biometrical according to methods of E. K. Merkuryeva with the use of Microsoft Ecxel and STATISTICA 6.0. Thearticlepresentsthe results of using different methods of statistical analysis of quantitative productive traits at the female lambs of Dnepropetrovsk type of Ascanian Meat-and-Wool breed under the influence of mothers. In terms of practical breeding it is important to know how the differences in productivity of ewes are inherited by their offspring. Analysing productivity of daughters and their mothers in coeval periods, we found significant differences. Daughter dominated their mothers significantly (live weight by 6.8-30.9 %, unwashed wool clip by 11.5-48.8 %) (P> 0.999) by these productive characteristics excluding length of wool. The impact of combined effect of live weight, length and wool clip of mothers on inheritance of daughters’ live weight was determined by three-factor analysis of variance. The results showed that the total share of variance due to the influence of organized factors of mothers’genotypeswas 12.2 %, while the amount of other unaccounted factors was 87.8 %.The following results were obtained at determining the impact of factors, conditioned by maternal genotype. Thus, the total impact of the interaction of three factors of mothers on daughters’ live weight was 4.5%. The combined effect of the interaction of live weight and length wool was most significant– 77.5%, and directly the influence of live weight of mothers oninheritance of this trait in daughters was 10.2% of the total impact of factors, conditioned by maternal genes. But it should be noted that only the impact of mothers’ live weight and total effect of two factors, namely live weight and wool clip (P>0.999), was significant, despite the fact that the percentage of share was 10.2% and 7.6% respectively. At the same time, the combined interaction of three factors of mothers’influence on woollength was 18 %, and of each one separately was 0-0.6 %. It is quite predictably thatthe total impact of the interaction of live weight and length wool was most significant – 50.7 % infactorialvariance and 1.7 % in general one, but the figure was below the probability (P < 0.95). Analysis of the impact of these factors in genetic diversity of influence of motherson daughters’wool clip showed that despite the smallest percentage in the total variance ofimpact of genotypic features of mothers on the manifestation of this trait in daughters – 2% the combined interaction of three factors in factorial variance (ABC) was most significant – 30.0%. Live weight and wool clip of mothers collectively influenced most significantly on variability of wool clip, as evidenced by the high level of interactioninfluence of the above-mentioned characteristics and contributionin factorial variance – 50.6% (P> 0.999). Thus, studies have shown ambiguous nature of the impact of maternal genes on traits expressionin daughters. The essence of this process is not linear and confirms the difficulty in the perception of inheritance as whole and for informal consideration it is clear that pleiotropic as well as polygenic effect of genes is not simply the sum of these genes. In view of the above, it can be argued that keeping in sheep breeding process should be carried out not only as the development of economically useful traits of daughters, but given their inheritance depending on the state and development of these traits in ewes.

The paper presents the results of studies on the effect of regrouping of piglets at different ages on the resistance of their organisms, immunological status, productive qualities and safety of young pigs. The work was performed at “Stas” LLC on large white breed pigs and their crossbreeds. For the experiment, three groups of piglets were formed from suckling sows — analogues. In the experiment 60 animals from birth up to two months of age were used, 20 animals in each experimental group. The control group of piglets was raised from birth up to 60 days of age in nests, and then they were moved to the rearing workshop; Experimental 1 group was kept up to 10 days old in nests, and then a one-time rearrangement was performed according to live weight. Piglets from experimental group 2 were regrouped according to live weight at 5, 10, 15, 21, 30 days of age. To assess the natural resistance of piglets due to the above groups, hematological, biochemical (total protein, protein fractions) methods, immunological (immunoglobulins of classes IgA, IgM, IgG), and natural resistance (bactericidal activity of blood serum) were used, serum lysozyme activity (LASK), phagocytic neutrophil activity (FAN), phagocytic index (FI), ethological, zootechnical, mathematical. To assess the natural resistance of piglets the following research methods were used: generally accepted zoo veterinary methods (live weight, morbidity, safety), hygienic (microclimate conditions, sanitary regime), hematological (morphological blood composition), biochemical (total protein, protein fractions), immunological (immunoglobulins of classes IgA, IgM, IgG), natural resistance (bactericidal activity of blood serum), ethological and mathematical methods. Results of work. It was found that when growing piglets, nesting, without moving, caused their growth and development without any noticeable physiological disturbances, both from the blood and ethology. In animals (Experimental-1 groups) which underwent a single regrouping in a 10 day reward, their lag in live weight by 12.65% was recorded, compared with the control, with two and three-time movement (Experimental-2) — by 16.10%. Their SSPs were 28% less and 14.7% lower than in the control piglets. Patients with symptoms of diarrhea were identified in the control: in 3–4 daily reimbursement — 1%, in Experimental-1 — 5%, Experimental-2 — 10–15%. The resistance of young animals to gastrointestinal diseases according to the Melenberg coefficient in the Experimental-2 group was 6.13–7.48, in control group it was 0.34, and the safety did not exceed 80.2%. According to the level of immune status, animals from Experimental-2 group were inferior: by BASK — by 25.15% (28 days of age), by LASK — by 7.56%, by FAN — by 10.7% compared with peers from Experimental-1 groups. By the number of eosinophils (Experimental-2 group), characterizing the stress state of piglets, their decrease was observed within 10–12 days, not more than 5 days — in animals from Experimental-1 group and up to 3 days — from control

Summary. The disbalanced feeding and the uneven distribution of micro- and macroelements in the environment leads to a trace element, in particular hypomelanosis. To accelerate the growth and preservation of young farm animals include in the diet of various biological additives and drugs, which include selenium. For stimulation of weight gain in the livestock industry, as well as for the prevention and treatment of pathological processes in addition to micro - and macrouse amino acids, primarily methionine. The aim of this work was to study the influence of composition of DAFS-25+Polizon on morpho-biochemical parameters of blood and functional state of the liver in fattening bulls of black-motley breed in the conditions of the Republic of Bashkortostan. Experiments using were conducted on bull-calves of black-motley breed of the properties in the properties age from 6 to 15 months. The first experimental group during the experiment was additionally given the composition of DAFS-25+Polizon at a dose of 2 mg/kg, the animals of the control group received a standard diet. To assess the impact of the composition DAFS-25+Polizon on metabolism cattle studied morphological and biochemical indicators of blood and conducted histological examination of the liver. It is established that the use of the composition of DAFS-25+Polizon at a dose of 2 mg/kg increases the number of erythrocytes and hemoglobin in the experimental group and reduces the amount of white blood cells. The serum content of total protein, phosphorus and calcium increases in the group of experimental animals. Microscopic examination of the liver revealed no changes in the structure of the organ and hepatocytes in the experimental group, whereas in the control group hemodynamic disorders and dystrophic changes in liver cells were observed. Thus, the use of the composition DAFS-25+Polizon at a dose of 2 mg/kg of live weight in fattening bulls black-and-white breed contributes to the increase of redox processes in the body, stimulation of metabolism, prevent the development of liver disorders of cellular mechanisms of metabolism, optimizes the structure of the liver, which generally provides higher productivity.

The seasonal changes in the skin thickness and structure of the horses’ coat, as signs of adaptation to environmental factors, were studied. The experiment was carried out with the livestock kept in a herd using winter-grazing technology without additional feedings in the climatic conditions of the Trans-Baikal Territory. The objects of the research were adult mares of Zabaikalsky breed of horses of the same age, class and fatness. The studies were carried out in the middle of each season (May, July, October, February). The length of the coat was measured with a caliper, the coat itself with the determination of the ratio of hair (fl uffy hair, heterotype hair and coarse hair) and the thickness of the skin fold were measured in accordance with the approved methodological recommendations. The minimum skin thickness in winter was detected in mares on the back and shoulder blade – 4.3 and 4.4 mm, the maximum – on the side and thigh – 4.5 4.6 mm. When compared with the summer period, the increase on the side was 0.8 mm, whereas on the back, shoulder blade and thigh – 0.4 mm (p ≤ 0,001). In spring, thickening of the skin was noted within 0.1-0.3 mm in the same topographic areas, compared to autumn. The quantitative indicators of the coat changed depending on the season of the year. In winter, the coat contained more fl uffy hair (23.10%), and less coarse hair (68.24%), in summer there was a lower content of fl uffy hair (4.33%), but more coarse hair (94.01%.) Sharp seasonal changes were noted with regard to the length of the hair. The longest hair was found in winter and spring – 4.96 and 4.26 cm, whereas the shortest – in summer and autumn – 0.94 and 1.90 cm, respectively.

One of the top priorities at the present stage of development of pig breeding remains the development of a set of measures aimed at increasing the resistance animals to various diseases, especially – to colibacteriosis .One of the recent and effective approaches to prevent colibacillosis is using markers of selection; it involves pig genotyping by genome locuses. Chosen locuses are associated with animal sensitivity to the disease and selection of the results of genotyping of animals with increased resistance. Due to researches, one of such locuses is alpha-fukozyltrasferаza 1 gene (FUT1). Gene FUT1 is located in chromosome 6. As a result of its sequencing in the swine breeds of Large White and Swedish Landrace, single-nucleotide polymorphism (g.307 G > A SNP) has been detected. AA genotype determines the resistance of animals to colibacteriosis, while AG and GG genotypes are susceptible to this disease. According to the results of previous studies, the positive effect of allele A was determined not only on the resistance of pigs to colibacteriosis, but also on indicators of fattening and meat productivity and on reproductive performance. In Ukraine, the studies of polymorphism FUT1 g.307 G > A SNP were held fragmentedly and only on certain populations of Ukrainian Meat and Large White breed but without establishing its association with the indicators of productivity of pigs. The aim of our work was to study the genetic structure of Ukrainian Large White breeds, type 1 and the establishment of association. g. 307 G > A SNP FUT1 gene with pigs indicators of productivity. For research the 96 samples of hair were used. DNA isolation from samples with biomaterial were carried out using ion exchange resin Chelex-100. Genotyping was performed by PCR-RFLP by method of Jorgensen et al. (2006). Using DNA analysis of this breeds locus FUT1 was determined by genetic structure. Allele frequency of allele G (0,573) and allele A (0,427) was established The distribution of genotype frequencies was not statistically significantly different from the theoretically expected, calculated by the Hardy-Weinberg criterion. Thus, according to the locus of FUT1 g.307 G > A, the breeds investigated are in a state close to the genetic equilibrium. The negative value of the fixation index by the locus FUT1 g.307 G > A indicates an excess of heterozygotes in the population, and hence the lack of targeted selection for this marker. The valuation was performed by calculating the PIC (polymorphic information content) – information content of polymorphism marker. In the analyzed pig herd for this marker, the PIC has an average value (0,367), which indicates the high level of polymorphism of the given locus and is favorable for the possibility of conducting a search for links between individual genotypes and indicators of productivity. To establish the association g.307 G > A SNP FUT1 gene with indicators of animal productivity, a one-way analysis of variance of the experimental data was used. Based on the results of a one-way analysis of variance, a significant effect of the genotypes of the FUT1gene (g.1849 G > C) on the indicator of the average daily weight gain (р ≤ 0,001), the thickness of the bacon at the level of the VI-VII vertebrae (p ≤ 0.01), reaching live weight of 100 kg (р ≤ 0,001) and breeding index of fattening qualities (р ≤ 0,01) was found. The parameter of the influence of the genetic factor on the test feature was 28,54%, 10,4%, 33,4% and 8,8% respectively. According to the investigated indicators of productivity, animals with genotype AA, which determines resistance to colibacteriosis, dominated the animals with genotypes GG and AG. Based on the results of our research and pre-published data, the multiple effect of the g.307 G > A SNP FUT1 gene is observed, which is associated with the indicators of productivity, which again confirms the polygenicity of the quantitative trait loci of farm animals. Taking into account a high level of polymorphism of the investigated gene and reliable associations of genotypes with indicators of productivity found, it can be recommended to carry out breeding of pigs using genetic information of the g.307 G > A SNP gene FUT1.

The most perspective genotype in our region is Red White-belted breed, which has high performance both under pure breeding and under crossing with other breeds. The results of complex evaluation of Red White-belted swine of the herd bred in SE "RF Zoryane" breeding farm are presented. It was revealed that animals of the farm comply with elite class and the first class. The main breeding boars used at the farm belong to such genealogical lines: Deviz, Division, Dantist, Debut, and Dobryak. In the structure of the herd, the most numerous was Dobryak line, which part was 58.8%, Division, Debut, Devis lines – 11.8% per line, Dantist line – 5.8%. The herd sows belong to 7 families: Drabowka, Dekada, Dyktsiya, Doina, Dylema, Delta, Dogma. Average prolificacy of the sows was 10.0 piglets. Litter weight at 60 days’ age was 181.0 kg, and live weight of piglet – 19.0 kg. The performance of sows as prolificacy increased by 0.6 head on average. The complex appraisal index for the herd was 104.1 points. The average daily gain of the replacement pigs was 570 g. The highest daily gain was from five to six months – 611.2 g, and the figure of compactness index characterized a certain elongation of animals, increasing meat traits. Further work with Red White-belted breed aims at preserving and expanding the breeding base and genealogical structure, as well as increasing the reproductive, fattening and meat traits.

Serum/plasma fructosamine (SeFa) concentration is a reliable indicator used in human diabetic control. Tests for monitoring the carbohydrate/energy metabolism of (farm) animals are less commonly performed in veterinary laboratories, since most of the reliable determinations, both automated and manual, are relatively expensive. The aim of this study was to develop a precise, money- (and time-) saving automated micro method for measuring SeFa. ELISA microplates (20 µL samples and 200 µL reagents) and an automatic microplate autoreader were used. The classical nitroblue tetrazolium (NBT) stain reagent solution of Johnson et al. (1982) was modified using a SIGMA reagent to render it stable for up to one year. SeFa concentrations measured by the new method in 30 human blood plasma samples were compared with values obtained by the standard (generally used) LaRoche kit procedure. Fifteen cow, 13 dog and 18 chicken plasma samples were assayed by the new automated ‘micro’ method as well as by the manual test tube ‘macro’ method commonly used earlier. The modified reagent was applied for both methods. The coefficient of correlation (r) between the results obtained by the two methods was consistently between 0.94 and 0.98 (p < 0.001).
