This research answers how the dramaturgical innovation of the Gambang Semarang Art Company (GSAC) performance is to go to tourism. The main objective is to explain GSAC's strategy in dealing with the tourism industry through dramaturgical innovation. This study uses a qualitative interpretive research method. Data were obtained through interviews and performance observations. The results showed that the Dadung Kepuntir story GSAC performance-inspired innovation and brought out new creativity. In addition, it gave rise to a form of presentation to enrich the repertoire of Gambang Semarang performances. The GSAC community is fully aware of the need for the arts for tourism. This can be seen from the approach to the show, which uses an aesthetic approach to commercialism. The aesthetics of commercialism is stated as the principles of managing the art forms of Gambang Semarang performed by the Gambang Semarang Art Company based on the attractiveness, fascination, and provocation of the attention of the mass audience of Gambang Semarang

Purpose This study aims to adopt implicit theory (IPT) to develop a creative mindset model and drive entrepreneurial success through innovation capability (IC). Design/methodology/approach Expert interviews were conducted using a questionnaire protocol. This study investigated the effect of the creative mindset on entrepreneurial success through IC, using a partial least squares analytical technique and by interviewing 176 Thai business owners. Findings The creative mindset drove entrepreneurial success through IC. Entrepreneurs possessing a growth mindset reflected and drove success directly or through IC. Although, those with a strong, fixed mindset did not significantly affect entrepreneurial success, they could drive success through IC. Research limitations/implications This study provides further insight into the probable causation of how the creative mindset and IC affect tourism entrepreneurs’ success. Accordingly, this study contributes a framework to help entrepreneurs’ creativity and performance in achieving their business goals. Originality/value Drawing from IPT, this study empirically tests and substantiates the mediating role of IC in the relationship between the creative mindset and entrepreneurial success in the tourism industry. This study can help entrepreneurs increase their managerial effectiveness.

Cloud storage, one of the core services of cloud computing, provides an effective way to solve the problems of storage and management caused by high-speed data growth. Thus, a growing number of organizations and individuals tend to store their data in the cloud. However, due to the separation of data ownership and management, it is difficult for users to check the integrity of data in the traditional way. Therefore, many researchers focus on developing several protocols, which can remotely check the integrity of data in the cloud. In this paper, we propose a novel public auditing protocol based on the adjacency-hash table, where dynamic auditing and data updating are more efficient than those of the state of the arts. Moreover, with such an authentication structure, computation and communication costs can be reduced effectively. The security analysis and performance evaluation based on comprehensive experiments demonstrate that our protocol can achieve all the desired properties and outperform the state-of-the-art ones in computing overheads for updating and verification.

Creating unique stories through storytelling as a way to stage extraordinary experiences has become increasingly important in the tourism industry, particularly in experience-based activities such as farm tourism. However, limited resources and the lack of knowledge of the experiencescape suggest that many farm tourism operators struggle to integrate the experiencescape as part of storytelling. The research method chosen was an explorative study with the use of semi-structured in-depth interviews with key farm tourism operators in the Inland region in Norway. How stories and concepts are created is dependent on the resources available, the perception of authenticity, the history of the farm as well as the environment. Storytelling can be facilitated through tangible elements in the experiencescape such as the physical environment as well as intangible elements including the interaction and dynamics between the host and guest. The farmer or the person telling the story also need to possess certain skills, engagement, and interest in order to be committed to deliver the story or the concept. Essentially, the farmer becomes a part of the product and the experience.

<p>Haka and hula performances tell stories that represent histories, traditions, protocols and customs of the Maori and Hawai'ian people and give insight into their lives and the way that they see the world. The way that haka and hula performances are represented is being tested, as the dynamics of the tourism industry impact upon and influence the art forms. If allowed, these impacts and influences can affect the performances and thus manipulate or change the way that haka and hula are represented. Through an understanding of the impacts and influences of tourism on haka and hula performances, as well as an exploration of the cultures' values, cultural representations effective existence within the tourism industry can be investigated. This thesis will incorporate the perspectives of haka and hula practitioners and discuss the impacts and influences on haka and hula performances in tourism. The research will also explore and discuss the ways in which cultural values and representations can effectively co-exist within tourism.</p>

This study aims to interpret in depth the cultural values ​​of Confucianism reflected in the management control system of Chinese ethnic families in Minangkabau. This study uses qualitative interpretive. The process of this research is interactive and meaning that is not measured by statistical data and aims to explore various information more in depth and makes it possible to get things implied by data collection carried out in triangulation. Data analysis is inductive and the results of qualitative research emphasize the meaning of generalization. This interpretive research method seeks to formulate a question and then analyze it based on the question of participants' perceptions studied. This research was conducted in one of the food trading businesses in the city of Padang, namely UD. KBF. The results of the study can be concluded by interpreting Confucian cultural values ​​in the implementation of the management system of Chinese ethnic family companies. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana peningkatan keterampilan siswa dalam menulis letter of opinion di Kelas XI. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada kelas XI-IPS-2 SMA Negeri 15 Semarang semester 1 Tahun Pelajaran 2017-2018 sebagai hasil penggunaan media fantastic card. Penelitian ini juga digunakan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana peningkatan pengetahuan dan sikap belajar siswa selama pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan teknik siklus yang terdiri dari dua tindakan siklus yaitu siklus 1 dan siklus 2. Alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan untuk data kuantitatif berupa tes tertulis ulangan harian dan data kualitatif digunakan lembar observasi atau pengamatan, lembar refleksi diri, lembar penilaian antar teman, dan rubrik penilaian kinerja. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan media fantastic card dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis letter of opinion. Ketuntasan Belajar mengalami peningkatan dari kondisi awal 53,13% menjadi 65,63% pada siklus I dan meningkat menjadi 93,75% pada siklus II. Peningkatan keterampilan siswa dalam menulis letter of opinion  pada siklus I mencapai 2,53% dari rata-rata hasil belajar pada pra siklus dan hasil belajar pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan sebesar 6,81% dari rata-rata hasil belajar  pada siklus I atau mengalami peningkatan sebesar 9,34% jika dibandingkan dengan rata-rata hasil belajar pada pra siklus.Kata kunci: menulis, letter of opinion, media fantastic cardABSTRACTThis research was aimed to find out the extent of students’ skill at writing letter of opinion in 11th grade. The research was conducted in the 11th Grade of Social Science 2at Public Senior High School 15 Semarang in Academic Year 2017-2018 after using fantastic card. It was to know the improvement of knowledge and attitude of the students during learning. Method used was class action research method with cycle technique consisting of two cycles, i.e. cycle 1 and cycle 2. Instruments of data taking were written daily tests and as for qualitative data, observation sheet, self-reflection sheet, peer evaluation sheet, and performance evaluation rubric were used. Results of the research showed that fantastic card could improve the skill of writing letter of opinion. The learning completeness improved from 53.13% to 65.63% in cycle I, and 93.75% in cycle II. The students’ skill in writing letter of opinion in cycle I improved up to 2.53% from the average learning result in pre-cycle. Meanwhile, th elearning result in cycle II improved as much as 6.81% from the average learning result in cycle I, or 9.34%, compared to the average learning result in pre-cycle.

Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to measure tourists' satisfaction with quality of life issues at an arts festival - the Aardklop National Arts Festival in Potchefstroom. Problem investigated: Understanding satisfaction with quality of life issues could assist Festival organizers and other businesses to improve services for tourists by tailoring these to meet their needs. Satisfied tourists spread positive word-of-mouth communication and are more likely to return in the future. Methodology: A self-administered survey developed and validated by Neal, Sirgy and Uysal (1999:156 & 2004:245) was fielded at the 2007 Aardklop National Arts Festival in Potchefstroom. The target population included all visitors to the Festival who were staying for two or more days, and who had travelled to Potchefstroom from elsewhere. Findings and implications: Respondents were satisfied with travel / tourism services and experiences at the Festival, and with their leisure time and life in general. However, certain things at the Festival led to lowered levels of satisfaction. Demographically, respondents did not differ significantly in their levels of satisfaction with travel / tourism services, travel / tourism experiences, leisure life, and life in general at the Festival except in terms of population group and region from which they came. Organizers of the Festival and other businesses should take cognizance of the fact that all parties involved in providing services to tourists attending an arts festival impact on their satisfaction levels with travel / tourism services and experiences - and ultimately also on their quality of life. Tourists attending the arts festival are not homogenous and differ substantially in terms of their demographic profile. Tourist service providers should tailor their offerings in order to satisfy the varied needs of the different types of tourist attending the Festival. Originality and value of the research: This research focused on measuring tourists' satisfaction with quality of life issues at an arts festival. Such research has never before been conducted in South Africa; the results contribute to the deeper insight of interested parties (such as the tourism industry and arts festival managers) into what they need to offer at such events.

This essay explores how the architectural design of the Bayreuth Festspielhaus effects the performance of Wagner’s later operas, specifically Der Ring des Nibelungen. Contrary to Wagner’s theoretical writings, which advocate equality among the various facets of operatic production (Gesamtkuntswerk), I argue that Wagner’s architectural design elevates music above these other art forms. The evidence lies within the unique architecture of the house, which Wagner constructed to realize his operatic vision. An old conception of Wagnerian performance advocated by Cosima Wagner—in interviews and letters—was consciously left by Richard Wagner. However, I juxtapose this with Daniel Barenboim’s modern interpretation, which suggests that Wagner unconsciously, or by a Will beyond himself, created Bayreuth as more than the legacy he passed on. The juxtaposition parallels the revolutionary nature of Wagner’s ideas embedded in Bayreuth’s architecture. To underscore this revolution, I briefly outline Wagner’s philosophical development, specifically the ideas he extracted from the works of Ludwig Feuerbach and Arthur Schopenhauer, further defining the focus of Wagner’s composition and performance of the music. . The analysis thereby challenges the prevailing belief that Wagner intended Bayreuth and Der Ring des Nibelungen, the opera which inspired the house’s inception, to embody Gesamtkunstwerk; instead, these creations internalize the drama, allowing the music to reign supreme. From this research I hope to encourage scholars to critically examine the connections between theatre design, composition and performance so that we may better understand the process by which works are manifested in performance.

Abstract This review examines three books published in the field of poetics in 2020: Candice Amich’s Precarious Forms: Performing Utopia in the Neoliberal Americas; Ren Ellis Neyra’s The Cry of the Senses: Listening to Latinx and Caribbean Poetics; and Anthony Reed’s Soundworks: Race, Sound, and Poetry in Production. I show that these three books, which discuss poetry in connection with other art forms, each call for a reordering of the senses through which we perceive and analyze poetry (and other texts). While Ellis Neyra advocates multisensorial listening and Reed calls for a mode of listening attentive to what remains unnamed within current perceptual and political schema, Amich shows the importance of paying attention to the embodied rhythms and tactility of poetry and performance texts. For all three authors, these alternatives to individualized, detached, and indeed deadened linguistic contemplation proffer strategies for remaking not only common sense, but the common itself. The chapter is structured under the following headings: 1. Introduction; 2. Poetics; 3. Sensoria; 4. Politics.

What does the musician become when sound and instrumental thinking are no longer privileged as the foundation of a musician's practice? In what ways does an emphasis on the musician's body cause music to approach art forms such as theatre and performance? After a generation of pioneering work from Mauricio Kagel, Dieter Schnebel, John Cage and many others, where is the theatrical and the performative in music today? How do its recent developments shape, alter, constitute a musician's artistic practice? Through her research, Jennifer Torrence argues that this type of music demands the musician assume a different understanding and relation to their instrument and therefore a different relation to their body. This relation calls for new ways of making and doing (new artistic practices) that foreground the body as a fundamental performance material. Through an emphasis on the body, the musician emerges as a performer. This exposition is a reflection on the research project Percussion Theatre: a body in between. This project is comprised of a collection of new evening-length works that approach the theatrical and performative in contemporary music performance. These works are created with and by composers Wojtek Blecharz, Carolyn Chen, Neo Hülcker, Johan Jutterström, Trond Reinholdtsen, François Sarhan, and Peter Swendsen. The exposition contains reflections on recent developments in contemporary music that mark a mutation of the executing musician into a co-creating performer, as well as images, artefacts, videos, and texts that unfold the process of creating and performing the work that constitutes this project. The ambition of this exposition is that through the exposure of a personal artistic practice an image of a larger field may come into focus.
