PT. X is an industrial company that runs in milk processing which manufactured variety products of its derivative. The problem that PT. X has are the high rate of breakdown and planned downtime that happened in sweetened condensed milk sachet filling machine, resulting a low value of availability rate in 2020. These problems can be solved by using Overall Equipment Effectiveess (OEE) method as an identification of those problems and Ishikawa’s Diagram as a proposed further improvement. The average measurement result of OEE in sweetened condensed milk sachet filling machine in the year of 2020 is 71.90%. This result shows us that the percentage of OEE still hasn’t reached the company’s target which is 75%. That low achievement of OEE is caused by one dominated factor which is the value of availability rate. According to Ishikawa’s Diagram, the main cause of the low value of availability rate are preventive maintenance, autonomous maintenance and predictive maintenance which become the cause of the recent breakdown. In conclusion, if the maintenance is done properly and thoroughly, the breakdown will certainly happen rarely, so that the value of the availability rate will also rise. PT. X adalah perusahaan industri yang bergerak di bidang pengolahan susu yang memproduksi berbagai produk turunannya. Masalah yang terjadi di PT. X adalah tingginya tingkat kerusakan dan downtime terencana yang terjadi pada mesin pengisi sachet susu kental manis, sehingga mengakibatkan rendahnya nilai availability rate pada tahun 2020. Permasalahan tersebut dapat diatasi dengan menggunakan metode Overall Equipment Effectiveess (OEE) sebagai identifikasi permasalahan tersebut. Hasil pengukuran rata-rata OEE pada mesin pengisi susu kental manis sachet tahun 2020 adalah 71,90%. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa persentase OEE masih belum mencapai target perusahaan yaitu 75%. Rendahnya pencapaian OEE tersebut disebabkan oleh salah satu faktor yang mendominasi yaitu nilai availability rate. Menurut diagram Ishikawa, penyebab utama rendahnya nilai tingkat ketersediaan adalah maintenance preventive, maintenance otonom, dan maintenance prediktif yang menjadi penyebab kerusakan mesin.

According to available literature data, NAFLD may play crucial role in the pathogenesis of type 2 diabetes and other conditions connected with insulin resistance. In order to study the essence of the NAFLD, we have created an experimental model of the steatohepatosis. The mixed diet for 8 weeks consisting of standard food (47%), sweetened condensed milk (44%), vegetable oil (8%) and vegetable starch (1%) develops non-alcoholic steatohepatosis in the animals undergoing the experiment. The morphological signs of the non-alcoholic steatohepatosis comprised as follows in the hepatocytes of the rats undergoing the experiment: presence of fine-drop fattiness (fine-drop steatosis) and accumulation of fat vacuoles shifting the nucleus towards the cell peripheral. Substantial increase in the liver pulp of the animals undergoing the experiment defined using the ultrasound shear wave elastography technique is indicative of the presence of the non-alcoholic steatohepatosis. The ultrasound shear wave elastography technique can be used as a non-invasive diagnosis marker of the non-alcoholic steatohepatosis. The said diagnosis technique has been recommended for the first time.

Abstract At the present time, the maintenance of the equipment becomes an essential task for any production system. This task is becoming more important from both the quantity and the quality points of view, particularly in developing countries. Initiating a maintenance system controlled by the computer will be valuable and effective. The developed expert system is a combination of an intelligent inference engine matched with a database of information. This system will enable the operator to spot instantaneously the parameters of interest. The expert maintenance system will be designed to perform preventive maintenance tasks and detects faults/failure during the operating cycle. Predictive maintenance enables the operator to minimize the shut down time of faulty equipment and hence increases the productivity. Furthermore, the system will minimize the probable human faults and reduce production costs.

The aim of this chapter is to select the most suitable combination of maintenance policies in the different systems that make up an operating theatre: air conditioning, sterile water, power supply, medicinal gases, and operating theatre lighting. To do so, a multicriteria model will be developed using the Measuring Attractiveness by a Categorical Based Evaluation Technique (MACBETH) approach considering multiple decision centres. The model uses functional, safety, and technical-economic criteria, amongst which is availability. Mean availability for repairable systems has been measured to assess this criterion, using Markov chains from the data obtained over three years from the subsystems of a hospital operating theatre. The alternatives considered are corrective maintenance; preventive maintenance together with corrective maintenance by means of daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly programmes; periodical predictive maintenance together with corrective maintenance; and corrective together with preventive and predictive maintenance.

The liver by way of afferent nerves is suggested to be a controller of food intake. In experiment 1, male rats were given a 15% fructose solution during the first 4 h of the dark phase, while chow was available the rest of the time, for 10 days, before total liver denervation (TLD) or sham operation. Postsurgery ingestion patterns (15-min measurements for 4 h) of fructose were similar in the two groups. However, chow intake in the TLD group was slightly attenuated the first 2 days after surgery. In experiment 2, rats were given chow in cups and vegetable oil in bottles for 8 days before TLD or sham operation. After surgery, hourly ingestion of chow and oil did not differ between the groups; however, there was a trend for the TLD group to take more oil in the dark phase on the first-day diet exposure. In experiment 3, rats were fed a high-protein diet for 21 days before TLD or sham operation. With the use of a computer-operated system, postsurgery meal size, meal duration, and frequency patterns were found to be comparable between the groups. In experiment 4, rats were given a diet of sweetened condensed milk mixed with water (3:1 vol/vol) and vitamins for 14 days before hepatic vagal branch transection (HVBX) or sham operation. After surgery the first-day milk intake of both groups was similar up to 3.5 h and then depressed at 4 and 24 h in the HVBX rats, but was again comparable over the next 13 days; body weights were similar throughout the study.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)
