In Natural Sciences (IPA) there are three aspects of learning, they arenatural sciences as product, process, and strengthening attitudes. This natural sciences learning classification found relevance with Islamic education learning in the aspect of fiqh, theseare fiqh as a product and fiqh as a process. The types of humanistlearning arelearning other than as a product, because this learning is not just transfer of knowledge without rationality, so that the lesson is not able to take part in the real life of humanity. In the implementation, humanist learning can be carried out using several scientific approaches such as problem based learning, discovery learning, social interaction, role playing, team research, and other forms that are oriented to students involvementdirectly.

There is no doubt about the importance of shalat (prayer). As mentioned in the verses of al-Quran and some ahaadiits (prophet traditions), there are some importance of prayer, i.e. as the pillar of ad-diinul-Islam, the character of Muttaqiin (pious people), the direct order from Allah, the first-accounted ‘amal (action) in the hereafter, the standard of goodness, the guard from badness, the prove of gratitude, the border between believer and unbeliever, etc-etc. In addition, shalat has many important symbolic meanings which should be implemented in the real life in this world. Symbol can be defined as, by Victor Turner, "a thing regarded by general consent as naturally typifying or representing or recalling something by possession of analogous qualities or by association in fact or thought“ (Turner, 1967:19). Shalat is the symbol of life; Shalat has many values which could be implemented in the life. Symbols in shalat can be traced in its requirements, its movements, its recitations, and symbol of congregation (jama’ah). Symbol can be functioned by understanding and implementing it. Furthermore, shalat has four functions, i.e. communicative, educative, integrative, and safety function. In educative function, shalat can be used as a method of Islamic education. The function of shalat can be played by understanding shalat and implementing it. The main purpose of the paper is to explore symbolic meanings of shalat, in order that Muslims can understand and implement those meanings in the real life. In other words, Muslims are hopefully able not only “to do shalat (prayer)” but also “to establish it”. Both “ritual prayer” and “actual prayer” have to be implemented in the life. Allah Ta’alaa said, in the translation from al-Quran, “And keep up prayer (establish prayer) and pay the poor-rate and bow down with those who bow down (QS al-Baqarah 2:43). In the context of this ayat, “ritual prayer” is to establish prayer, and “actual prayer” is to pay the poor-rate.

The popularity of Massively Multi-Player Online Role-Playing Games (MMORPGs) has risen dramatically over the last decade. Some gamers spend many hours a day in these virtual environments interacting with other gamers, completing quests, and forming social groups. The present study set out to explore the experiences and feelings of online gamers. The study comprised 71 interviews with online gamers (52 males and 19 females) from 11 different countries. Many themes emerged from the analyses of the interview transcripts including (i) engaging in social interaction, (ii) being part of a community, (iii) learning real-life skills, (iv) gaining in-game rewards, (v) playing never-ending games (vi) escaping from real life, (vii) playing longer than intended, and (viii) being obligated towards other gamers in-game. These findings specifically showed the many positives of online gaming (including the social interaction and the community aspects of belonging) as well as the in-game features within MMORPGs that in some cases can lead to excessive online gaming. The implications of these findings are discussed in relation to previous qualitative and quantitative research in the area.

This article tries to explore the new paradigms of Islamic education. Islamic education transformative on Syekh Nawawi’s perspektive can be an alternative solution to the problems of the state and education in particular. In fact, Islamic educational transformative is the accumulation of the process of transfer of knowledge, transfer of values, transfer of methodology and transformation. Integration of religion sciences (‘ulumuddin) and natural sciences or humanities sciences is a priority in Islamic education transformative. There is no dichotomy and scientific specialization. Ultimately, through this transformative Islamic education can produce output which has a religious personality and competence of science as well. The expectation is the realization of the scientific-religious generation. Become a religionist-scientific and a saintists-religionist.
