Al-Tahlîl al-Qânûnî Li Himâyati al-Qânûniyah wa Mihnati al-Mu’allim fî Adâi wajibâtihim: Dirâsah Muta’addidah al-Mawâqi’ li al-Madâris al-Dîniyah al-Dâkhilah fî Bîati al-Ma’âhid al-Islâmiyah Pamekasan

Protection for teachers means an effort to avoid them from any kind of violence, threat, discrimination, injustice, criminalization, and deviant treatment coming from whether students, parents, or society. This study aims to examine three forms of protection for teachers in serving the job as educators namely in the realm of law, profession, and intellectual properties. It uses a juridical-sociological method in the qualitative data compilation technique. The data was obtained through in-depth interviews and desk study. Meanwhile, the data analysis is through reduction and conclusion making. It results in three conclusions. 1) The law protection for teachers comes in the form of advocacy, law dissemination, protection from any type of violence, friendly students’ education format, students' character building, and good communication with students' parent. 2) The protection for teacher in the realm of profession is through reasonable earning and freedom of speech. 3) The protection for teachers' intellectual property is through motivating them to be productive even though the results have not been well patented. حماية مهنة التدريس هي محاولة لحماية المعلمين من مختلف أشكال العنف والتهديدات والمعاملة التمييزية والظلم والتجريم والمعاملة المنحرفة من الطلاب وأولياء الأمور والمجتمع. تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى فحص أشكال حماية المعلمين في أداء واجباتهم كمعلمين. وطريقة البحث المستخدمة هي المنهج الاجتماعي القانوني في إطار البحث النوعي. وكان جمع البيانات عن طريق المقابلات المتعمقة والتوثيق. يتم تحليل البيانات بخطوات مع تقليل البيانات واستخلاص النتائج. من البحث المنفذ. تظهر نتائج هذه الدراسة أن هناك: 1) الحماية القانونية للمعلمين من خلال المناصرة القانونية والتنشئة الاجتماعية القانونية، والحماية من العنف ضد المعلمين، وتنسيق التعليم الملائم للأطفال، وتشكيل شخصية الطالب، وإجراء التواصل الجيد مع أولياء أمور الطلاب 2) الحماية المهنية مع لائقة الدخل وحرية التعبير عن الآراء 3) حماية الملكية الفكرية من خلال تشجيع المعلمين على الإبداع والتصنيف، ولكن هذه المصنفات لم يتم تسجيلها ببراءة اختراع.

How Indonesian People in the Past Deal with Disaster Mitigation? An archaeological perspective

Bencana alam adalah bagian dari riwayat bangsa kita sejak masa prasejarah. Meskipun bencana alam merupakan hal yang tidak terpisahkan dari kehidupan masyarakat Indonesia, namun disadari masih kurang kesadaran dan kesiapan terhadap kondisi ini. Hal tersebut ditunjukkan dengan tingginya angka kerugian material dan non material dalam setiap kejadian bencana. Keadaan ini disebabkan oleh belum optimalnya pelaksanaan penanggulangan bencana di Indonesia, khususnya dalam mitigasi bencana. Untuk merumuskan konsepsi baru penanggulangan bencana, masyarakat saat ini harus belajar menghadapi bencana alam dari manusia di masa lalu. Nilai dan kearifan lokal masih relevan hingga saat ini karena kita hidup di nusantara yang sama. Sebagai ilmu yang mempelajari budaya manusia yang telah punah, arkeologi dapat membantu menjelaskan sejarah bencana di suatu wilayah dan dampaknya terhadap kehidupan manusia di masa lalu. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan studi kepustakaan, tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan aksi mitigasi bencana yang dilakukan oleh leluhur bangsa Indonesia sebagai acuan mitigasi bencana di zaman modern ini. Setidaknya ada dua sorotan nilai yang masih relevan. Pertama, pembinaan mental dan karakter masyarakat yang tinggal di daerah rawan bencana, dan kedua pembangunan fisik mengenai sifat bencana di masing-masing daerah. A natural disaster is part of our nation’s journey from the prehistoric era. Even though natural disaster is an inseparable matter with Indonesian people’s lives, but there is still a lack of awareness and readiness due to this issue. The high number sees it as material and non-material losses in every disaster event. This situation is caused by non-optimally disaster management implementation in Indonesia, especially in disaster mitigation. To formulate the new conception of disaster management, modern people should learn how to deal with natural disasters from ancient people. Values and local wisdom are still relevant today since we live in the same archipelago. As a science that studies extinct human culture, archaeology can help explain the history of disasters in a region and its impact on human life in the past. Using the literature study approach, this paper aims to describe disaster mitigation actions implemented by Indonesia’s ancestors as a reference to disaster mitigation in modern times. At least there are two highlights of values that are still relevant. First is the mental and character building of people who live in a disaster-prone area, and second is the physical development regarding the nature of disaster in each region.

How is the Education Character Implemented? The Case Study in Indonesian Elementary School

Today, the attitudes and behavior of Indonesian students are declining. Schools as a component of character building have an important task in inculcating morals, ethical values, noble character, and strong and tough characters. This study was conducted to analyze the implementation of character education in Indonesia. The qualitative research using an ethnographic approach was used in this study on the implementation of character education in elementary schools. A total of 115 participants were interviewed at the school, including principals, teachers, extracurricular coaches, parents, and students. Observation, interviews, and documentation were used as the research instrument. From the results of this study, it was found that character education was very much needed in learning. The character education that was implemented in the elementary school sample includes religion; discipline; responsibility; leadership; tolerance; cooperation; love cleanliness; neatness; courtesy; perseverance; bravery; self-confidence; economical; independence; honesty; acceptance diversity; nationalism; Justice; creativity; and reward achievement. This study also described the character education strategies applied in elementary schools, namely, exemplary; habituation; school climate conditioning; integration in learning across all subjects; and integration through extracurricular activities. Student Character Building and Behaviour Through Islamic Value-Based Teaching

This chapter used qualitative methods to collect data on the influence of Islamic values in teaching in building student character in Malaysia schools. The population consisted of different schoolteachers from Selangor and Kuala Lumpur. Online interview was used to explore those teachers' perceptions on the inculcation of Islamic values in teaching on student character building. Data were analysed using thematic analysis. From the reports, inculcation of Islamic values was found to help in building students' good character, but to make it happen, teachers are seen as role players and models. Additionally, environment, parents, and peer support also played big roles in the inculcation of Islamic values in students. Media is reported to be used wisely to help children such as showing children the programs that promote Islam and its beauties. As an implication and conclusion, for schools to have good organizational behaviour, Islamic values must be inculcated in teaching to impact positively student behaviour and attitude while becoming good persons with Islamic adab and akhlaq.

Peran Lingkungan Madrasah Dalam Pembentukan Karakter Siswa MIM 2 Slinga Kaligondang Purbalingga

The study, entitled the role of the madrasah environment in the character building of students at MI Muhammadiyah 2 Slinga kaligondang purbalingga has the aim of providing an overview of how the role of the madrasah environment can shape the character of MI Muhammadiyah 2 Slinga students. This paper is a deductive paper, the result of research with environmental research subjects at MI Muhammadiyah 2 Slinga. The results showed that the character of the students at MIMuhammadiyah 2 Slinga could be shaped by the interaction between students and stakeholders in the madrasah environment and the situation in the madrasah environment.

Traditional Games on Character Building: Integrating Hide and Seek on Learning

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect on learning of incorporating the traditional game of Hide and Seek. This type of research employs a mixed-methods. This study used several variables as research categories, including response, peace-loving character, and patriotism, and enrolled a total of 44 students. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used in the data analysis. The integration took place at an Elementary School and a Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in Batang Hari, as evidenced by the response, which reflected the peace-loving nature of patriotism. The result is that each response variable, peace, love, and patriotism, has a significant effect, with a value of sig 0.05, and that each variable is dominant in the good category.

Building Children Character Through Moral Values in The Adventure of Pinocchio

This study attempts to analyze a fairy tale novel entitled “The Adventure of Pinocchio”, which talks about the story of the irrepressible marionette who longed to become a real boy. This study focuses on revealing the categories of moral value and describing the building children's character implied in this novel. To analyze this novel, the researcher uses two principles theory to find out the objectives of the studies. There are moral values argued by Linda & Eyre and the theory of children’s character building based on Lewis. The method of this study is qualitative research, which means it does not need statistical procedure to analyze the material. This study merely uses “The Adventure of Pinocchio,” a novel by Carlo Collodi, translated into English version by Carol Della Chiesa as the primary data source. At the same time, the secondary data sources are taken from other literary books and related references to support and complete the primary data. As a result, the researcher finds that some elements of moral values such as love and affection, sensitivity and not-selfish, bravery, self-discipline, and moderation occurred in the content of the novel. Meanwhile, building children's character can be implied through “The Adventure of Pinocchio's” fairy tale: honesty, responsible, regard, respect, and compassionated.

Integration of character education based on local culture through online learning in Madras Ahaliyah

The focus of this article's discussion is related to the integration of character education based on local culture at Madrasah Aliyah (Senior High School) in Aceh. The participants were determined purposively, and they were six Madrasah principals, and 50 teachers served at Madrasah Aliyah (Islamic secondary school ) throughout Aceh. The data were analyzed following the procedures of qualitative research. The results of the study suggest that the integration of character education based on local Acehnese culture was carried out through integration in learning, the preparation of a Characteristic Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) module, the role of the teacher as a role model, and the development of pesantren (boarding school) culture. The integration of character education based on local wisdom at Madrasah Aliyah in Aceh has implications for student character development, such as religion, integrity, critical thinking, independence, participating in social activities, and responsibility. Furthermore, the implementation of character education in the conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic was carried out through a distance-learning system (online). Harmonization of the Education Curriculum at Pesantren Al Falah Gorontalo: An Educational Philosophy Study

Pesantren (Islamic boarding schools) have become character-building institutions trusted by the Indonesian people; however, as educational institutions, pesantren must adapt to the national education curriculum which can be challenging. The purpose of this study was to critically identify and analyze the implementation of the educational curriculum at the pesantren Al Falah Gorontalo, based on the educational philosophy point of view. A qualitative approach was employed, using the hermeneutics method. Interpretation, description, synthetic analysis, internal coherence, holistic, reflection, and heuristics were used. The results indicated that the pesantren Al Falah Gorontalo combined two educational curriculums. Analysis from the educational philosophy perspective found that the implementation of education was based on essentialism educational philosophical ideas, which assume that education is full of flexibility and helps students to adhere to noble values, spiritual characteristics, and human guidance to achieve a more noble life. Building of Family-based Islamic Character for Children in Tablighi Jamaat Community

This study is aimed at exploring how to build family-based Islamic character in the Tablighi Jamaat community. As a qualitative study, the research was conducted by using an ethnographic approach. The data were collected through direct interviews with ten informants which are the heads of the family that belong to the Tablighi Jamaat community. Moreover, the researcher was also involved in some religious activities of the community for two years that the observation during the activities can be used to reinforce the result of the interviews. Those activities are Ijtima’ (annual gathering), Bayan Markas (sermon), Ta’lim Halaqah, Khuruj (proselytizing tour), Jaulah, and some informal visits to interviewees’ families. All data, both interviews and direct observation, were thematically analyzed by using specific software, namely NVivo 12. Based on the data it is found that there are five major Islamic characters could be developed through the family-based character building in the Jama’ah Tablghi community, namely: (1) good moral conduct to parents, (2) having a sense of shame to violate the shari’a, (3) behaving based on Islamic shari’a, (4) time punctuality, (5) good moral characters. Finally, the findings reveal that the building of family-based Islamic characters in the Tablighi Jamaat community contributes to the positive effects of children's Islamic characters in family and community.
