Agricultural growth has been severely affected due to the constraints in irrigation-energy deficits. Due to the availability of abundant solar energy especially in India for all days, solar powered irrigation technology has been a promising alternative source compared to canonical electricity and diesel focused pumping systems. How to furnish an electric power suitable to drive an irrigation pump for agricultural purposes in isolated areas using solar PV panels is the problem. This project deals with solving a local irrigation problem in countries. In this proposed project a simple design of simulation and analysis of a PMSM fed by a solar PV, modelled through DC/DC converter controlled by a MPPT and for utilizing the power from Solar. Compared to all converters, luo converters is the advanced technology. POSL luo converter are of new DC-DC step-up converter. This POSL luo converter performs positive to positive DC-DC voltage increasing conversion. The hardware implementation has been done for positive output super-lift luo converter respectively.

The acceptance of eco-friendly black soldier fly larvae meal (BSFLM) as sustainable alternative protein ingredient in poultry feeds continues to gain momentum worldwide. This study evaluates the impact of BSFLM in layer chick and grower diets on the growth, carcass quality and economic returns. Mean weekly weight gain and total live weight per chick and grower varied significantly. The highest final weight gain was achieved when birds were provided diet with 25.6% BSFLM. Average daily feed intake (ADFI), average daily weight gain (ADG) and overall weight gain of the chick varied significantly, except for the feed conversion ratio (FCR). For grower birds, ADFI, ADG, FCR and overall weight gain did not vary significantly across the various feeding regimes. The weight of the wings and drumsticks had a quadratic response with a maximum weight obtained at 33% inclusion of BSFLM. The weight of the internal organs were not significantly affected by dietary types. Positive cost–benefit ratio and return on investment was recorded for diet types with higher BSFLM inclusion levels (>75%). Diets with 25% and 100% BSFLM inclusion were the most suitable and cost-effective, respectively. Thus, BSFLM represents a promising alternative source of protein that could be sustainably used in the poultry industries.

This paper aims to review the current development of vessels with solar power to reference the research and development of solar power vessels in Indonesia. The research method is a systematic literature review on the development of solar-powered vessels and includes an online survey of vessels using solar PV. This study found 86 solar-powered vessels consisting of boats, utility boats, ferries, houseboats, research, vehicle carriers, dive boats, and yachts developed from 1988 to 2020. These solar-powered vessels were built for various functions such as competitions, cleaning the environment, passenger transportation, and water tourism.  Production of solar-powered vessels is increasing in terms of production volume, PV capacity, and battery capacity. In terms of PV configuration, the solar array is dominated by a fixed array structure. However, there have been innovations using sun-tracking, wind tracking airfoils, and expandable channels to increase PV capacity.

This paper presents the solar powered charging control of lithium-ion battery. The flyback converter is used to extract the maximum power from the solar photovoltaic (PV) array and charge the battery. This paper also presents the fuzzy logic-based battery management system to protect the batteries due to overcharging and over-discharging conditions. The proposed method is designed and developed in the MATLAB/Simulink platform. Solar PV powered battery system is tested for step change in irradiance conditions and corresponding results are measured and analyzed. The effectiveness of the fuzzy logic-based battery management system is also presented. The simulation model for BMS technique has overall efficiency of 95.1%. In order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed system, experimental verification of the proposed method is implemented in real time and compared with simulation results.

A solar micro inverter is a small-size inverter designed for single solar PV module instead of group of solar PV modules. Each module is equipped with a micro inverter to convert the DC electricity into AC electricity and the micro inverter is placed/installed below the module. The advantages of micro inverters are: reduced effect of shading losses, module degradation and soiling losses, enabled module independence, different rating of micro inverter can be connected in parallel to achieve the desired capacity, additional modules can be included at time which allows the good scalability, string design and sizing are avoided, failure of any micro inverter does not affect the overall power generation, individual MPPT controller for each module increases the power generation, any orientation and tilt angle allows higher design flexibility, lower DC voltage increasing the safety, easy to design, handle and install, requires less maintenance, draws attention of design engineers, contractors, etc.

The omega-3 (n3) polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) are associated with health benefits. The primary dietary source of EPA and DHA is seafood. Alpha-linoleic acid (ALA) has not been shown to be a good source for EPA and DHA; however, stearidonic acid (SDA)—which is naturally contained in echium oil (EO)—may be a more promising alternative. This study was aimed at investigating the short-term n3 PUFA metabolism after the ingestion of a single dose of EO. Healthy young male subjects (n = 12) ingested a single dose of 26 g of EO after overnight fasting. Plasma fatty acid concentrations and relative amounts were determined at baseline and 2, 4, 6, 8, 24, 48, and 72 h after the ingestion of EO. During the whole examination period, the participants received standardized nutrition. Plasma ALA and SDA concentrations increased rapidly after the single dose of EO. Additionally, EPA and DPAn3 concentrations both increased significantly by 47% after 72 h compared to baseline; DHA concentrations also significantly increased by 21% after 72 h. To conclude, EO increases plasma ALA, SDA, EPA, DPAn3, and DHA concentrations and may be an alternative source for these n3 PUFAs.

The objective of this study is to compare the yields and qualities of the hulled wheats emmer (Triticum dicoccum Schübl.) and spelt (Triticum aestivum L. ssp. spelta) with the commonly cultivated naked wheats common wheat (Triticum aestivum L. ssp. vulgare) and durum wheat (Triticum durum Desf.). Three years of field experiments were carried out from 2015 to 2017 in the Lubelskie province (Poland) on rendzina soils. The experimental results indicate that the hulled wheats, even when cultivated with advanced technology, produced lower yields compared to the common and durum wheats (reduced by 30–56%). In spite of their lower yields, emmer and spelt retained appropriate technological parameters. Higher ash, protein, and wet gluten yields were characteristic of the hulled wheats; however, the high gluten spread of emmer (13.3 mm) may limit its application as a raw material in some food processes. In summary, hulled wheat species can be recommended for modern agricultural production as an alternative source of high-quality materials for the agricultural and food industries.


The aim of this project is to design a portable solar thermoelectric refrigerator for people living in remote areas, or outdoor applications where electric power supply is absent. The design of the solar-powered refrigerator based on the principle of the thermoelectric module to create a hot side and cold side. Solar PV module is used to supply electrical energy to the thermoelectric module to generate hot and cold effects for heating and cooling application. A wellinsulated rectangular container made of aluminum is used as a cooling chamber. To enhance the cooling effect, heat sinks and electric fans are added to the hot side to cool down the thermoelectric modules. The system was able to reach 40 C in the cold surface of the TEM and 100 C as the refrigerant temperature and 300 C in hot chamber with 0.66 COP. An economic analysis is carried out to study the viability of this novel technique. Economic analysis reveals that the system has sufficient amount of saving due to renewable source of energy which is free and lower maintenance cost. One more major advantages of the proposed refrigerator is its longer lifetime that might reach up to 40 years

Swamps forage generally have crude fiber content and tannin content which is quite high. Unlike the case with legumes which are high in protein content but crude fiber content, and tannins that are not too high compared to swamp forages. The presence of tannin in swamp forage, has an impact on palatability, digestibility and biological value of feed. In such a situation, modification of swamp forages with tree legumes is a promising alternative source of feed for goats.         Protein in small ruminant animals is generally degraded in the rumen before reaching the abomasum, where absorption of nutrients occurs. As a result, protein digestibility will be reduced because it is damaged during the journey to the abomasum, so there needs to be modification so that protein damage to the rumen can be reduced. One way is to create a protein protector that is able to protect protein by using tannin which is quite abundant in swamp forages. In addition to functioning as a protein protector, tannin is also useful as an anthelmintic agent (anti-parasite) in goats, so that it will reduce the occurrence of worm disease in goats so that it will reduce the use of worm parasitic drugs which will have an impact on goat performance.           The specific objectives of this study were to analyze the ability of a combination of swamp forage with modified legume as a complete feed granule with different tannin content on the quality of local carcass and goat meat          Trial feeding was carried out on 12 male local goats aged 1.5-2 years, body weight 33-35 kg. At this stage a modified swamp and legume forage in the form of granules was modified as a complete feed on the performance of local meat-producing goats. Parameters measured included: Carcass quality, physical and organoleptic quality of meat.          The results showed that the application of swamp forage and indigofera legume on male goats affected the cut weight and carcass percentage. Giving a combination of swamp forage with indigofera legume with different tannin content affects the physical properties of goat meat which includes cooking losses, water holding capacity, but does not affect the tenderness of meat, and pH.
