This article aims to evaluate the impact of long-range pursuit programs using the Disscrepancy Model, developed by Malcolm Provus. Emphasizes the view of gaps in program implementation. The word discrepancy means gap, this model according to Madaus, Sriven & Stufflebeam (1993: 79-99) departs from the assumption that to find out the feasibility of a program, evaluators can compare what should be expected to happen (standard) with what actually happens (performance). . Comparing the two things, it can be seen whether there is a gap (discrepancy), namely the standard set with the actual performance. This model was developed by Malcolm Provus, aims to analyze a program whether the program is worth continuing, increasing, or terminating. teaching evaluation is a component in the teaching system, while the teaching system itself is an implementation of the curriculum, as an effort to create classroom learning. Oemar Hamalik (2001: 145) states, the evaluation process is generally student-centered. This means that evaluation is intended to observe student learning outcomes and seeks to determine how learning opportunities are. From the two opinions above, the evaluation is intended to observe a teaching process, which includes the role of the teacher, teaching strategies, curriculum materials, and learning principles applied to teaching.

The aim of this study is to identify the teaching procedures generally conducted by translation teachers, and investigate their impact on the development of students’ translation competence (TC). The study emphasizes the importance of substituting the traditional “read and translate” method for a student-centered teaching approach that relies on hands-on tasks and engaging activities.  These teaching procedures include intra- and extra-mural activities and tasks addressing different sub-competencies and skills and aiming at developing students' general TC. In order to study the impact of these teaching procedures on TC, we implemented a descriptive method that draws upon self-report data and observation of translation teachers and students in a classroom setting. We observed a group of MA translation students in the Faculty of Letters and Humanities in Tetouan and King Fahd School of Translation in Tangiers- Abdelmalek Essaadi University, Morocco. The observation reports and teachers questionnaires provided significant data about classroom practices, while the survey of students’ levels of TC revealed that the respondents’ mastery level of TC ranges from low to high across the different sub-competences. We subsequently compared students’ mastery levels to the general patterns governing the teachers’ teaching procedures, and the findings showed a clear correlation between the two. Accordingly, the type and focus of the tasks and activities performed by students have a direct impact on their TC development.

As the design of mechatronic systems relies on different technical and scientific disciplines, it is often difficult to anticipate, at the earliest, the consequences of design choices on the final product. The role of the evaluation process is to support designers each time engineering choices must be made or justified. Being able to estimate the impact of design decisions on key technical performance indicators is one objective of our research. After having presented the activities of the evaluation process, we propose a meta-model of the data required by evaluation in the context of the Systems Engineering framework. Then we investigate how the top down and bottom up tracing of technical requirements through Block Systems and between systems engineering layers of the ‘onion model’ may help designers analyze the consequences of design decisions on the final product. The research is illustrated through the development of a wheelchair with electrical assistance so as to allow reduced mobility people to move and work outside with less tiredness.

This research background was found in the implementation of the program Baitul Maal Wat Tamwil (BMT) in Empowerment’s actors UMKM in Padang. The aims of this research was to describe the implementation of Sharia Baitul Maal Wat Tamwil (KJKS BMT) Cooperative Program and to know the impact of KJKS Program implementation through savings and loan program in approaching the access of business capital to SMEs in Padang City. The method used in this research was qualitative research using descriptive method. The research found that the Role of Sharia Financial Services Cooperative Program Baitul Maal Wat Tamwil (KJKS BMT) for the Empowerment of Micro Small Medium Enterprises has been effective by providing financing in the addition of venture capital to UMKM for the development of their business. Although the implementation of KJKS program has been in accordance with existing procedures but has not fully able to improve the welfare of its members. This can be seen from its still found some obstacles in the implementation, constraints faced can be categorized into two forms. Internal obstacles such as: lack of KJKS capital, poor people's mindset about KJKS program, lack of supervision on KJKS program implementation, external constraints such as: the utilization of aid funds that have not maximized, Fructuative Community Economic Condition (unstable), Competitor with product Just like the existence of loan sharks, obstacles that come from the participants of the program carried out efforts such as guidance, the system pick up the ball against members who are stuck in the payment.

The purpose of the research is to outline the features of the development of students’ multicultural competence and determine the role of the teacher in this process. Methods of synthesis, analysis, experiment, questionnaire and observation method has been used in the academic paper. The obtained results have confirmed the hypothesis: increasing the level of multicultural competence of students in a student-centered educational environment can be implemented subject to the active involvement of the teacher. Regular studying foreign languages and non-specialized disciplines also contributes to the development of multicultural competence. To assess multicultural competence, it has been proposed to use criteria that allow evaluating the impact of learning foreign languages and non-specialized disciplines, as well as the participation of teachers - curators. The pedagogical expediency has been proved and the application of forms, means and content components of the multicultural educational environment has been substantiated, as well as recommendations have been developed towards improving the effectiveness of the acquisition of multicultural competence of students with the active involvement of teachers.

The concept of student-centered learning is based on the following provisions: student in the center of learning, emphasis on active rather than passive learning; emphasis on critical and analytical learning and understanding; interdependence of teacher and student; a reflective approach to the educational process on the part of both the teacher and the students. Student-centered learning requires an ongoing process of reflection (introspection and self-esteem). Teachers and students regularly review their teaching methods and assimilation of competence, thereby stimulating critical thinking and personal skills. Students are given the opportunity to control their own learning. They are given the opportunity to participate in the development of educational programs, academic disciplines and in their assessment. The point of student-centered learning is to create learning opportunities. The student-centered approach places a great responsibility on the student, encourages him to think, process materials, analyze and solve problems. Key words: student-centered learning, the concept of student-centered learning, principles and methods of student-centered learning, the system of expected learning outcomes, life skills and competencies

The purpose of this conceptual paper is to integrate two previously disparate areas of research: mindfulness and the entrepreneurial process. This present study conceptualizes the impact of mindfulness on the choices entrepreneurs face. Specifically, the research theorizes the positive effects of mindfulness on the opportunity recognition process, including evaluation of entrepreneurs. Furthermore, we propose that metacognition mediates this relationship, and emotional self-regulation moderates it. This conceptual research also suggests that mindfulness is positively related to the ethical decision-making and opportunity recognition and evaluation. Finally, compassion is proposed as a factor that mediates the relationship between mindfulness and ethical choices in opportunity recognition.

Abstract Background The arrival of the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic disrupted life suddenly and forcefully, and healthcare systems around the world are still struggling to come to terms with it. This paper reviews the impact of the pandemic on ENT practice and training. Methods The present manuscript was developed as a narrative review to examine the role of otorhinolaryngologists in the management of the pandemic, and assess its impact on practice and training in the specialty. Results Otorhinolaryngologists handle secretions of organs implicated in disease transmission, leaving them particularly vulnerable even while performing simple procedures. Although the pandemic increased skill expectations, it simultaneously reduced learning opportunities for trainees. In addition, attention to emergencies has been delayed. Further, the suspension of elective procedures has affected patients with malignancies. Conclusion While planning service resumption, provisions need to be made for protective equipment and training; improving teleconsultation services will help provide sustainable care during further waves.
