The polycrystalline of Sr1xLaxMnO3 (x = 0.11.0) samples were synthesized by solid state reaction method and general sintering. The Sr1xLaxMnO3 powders were calcined and sintered by furnace at 900 K and 1173 K for 3 hours in air atmosphere, respectively. Thermopower of the samples were measured by steady state method at temperature range of 290-520 K in air. The thermopower all samples were increased with increasing the La content substitution.

The magnetic properties of Ba2FeMoO6 (BFMO) double perovskite are investigated. BFMO samples were prepared by solid state reaction method through compression. Magnetic properties are influenced by electron environments of the Fe3+ and Mo5+ ions within the perovskite structure. BFMO sintered at 800 oC exhibited the largest hysteresis loop at 50 K. In addition, the values of Ms and Mr indicate ferromagnetic behaviour in BFMO ceramics sintered at 800 oC for different times up to 10 hours. Using the Curie-Weiss law fitting to investigate μeff~30μB high spin of Fe and Mo, and negative θ present the antiferromagnetic characteristics of the BFMO sample.

The Bi0.5(Na0.7K0.2Li0.1)0.5TiO3 powder synthesis through molten salt method was investigated in the temperature range of 650 ~ 700°C for 2 ~ 4h. The XRD results indicated that the optimal synthesizing temperature for molten salt method was 700°C, significantly lower than that for conventional processing route of solid state reaction method, where a calcining temperature of 850°C was needed. The SEM results revealed better crystallization of the powders obtained through molten salt method, compared with those through the conventional processing route of solid state reaction method.

Single phase polycrystalline with = 0, 0.01 and 0.02 were synthesized by conventional solid state reaction method. The X-ray diffraction shows that the ceramic samples has hexagonal Wurtzite structure with a space group of p63mc and average crystallite size in the range 52 - 88 nm. The dielectric and electrical properties were studied within the temperature range 30 °C to 500 °C under air atmosphere as function of frequency (10 kHz). The electrical properties of grain interior and grain boundary have been studied by using the impedance spectroscopy and follow the non-Debye relaxation process. It was observed that the AC conductivity of ceramic samples following the Universal power law within the frequency range 1kHz to 1 MHz. The activation energy of Pure is 0.29 eV was calculated by using the Arrhenius-relation with in temperature range 300 - 500 °C, which is increased to (0.40 eV ) when = 0.02 of at 10 kHz . The peaks attributed at 1415 cm-1 () and 1413 cm-1 () in FT-IR measurement of are due to Ca-O stretching from the calcite phase of CaCO3, which is not observed in Pure ZnO confirms the presence of Ca in ZnO lattice. Zinc silicate-based (Zn2SiO4:Eu3+) long afterglow phosphors were produced by solid state reaction method. The effects of borax and Eu2O3 additive on the properties of fabricated products have been studied. The results show that, there is not much difference in phase compositions within the borax additive amount; however, their SEM morphologies are different. Borax additive can increase the grain size of the product. Some sintering phenomena could be observed in the sample with Eu2O3 addition. The fluorescence spectroscopy results indicate that, the emission peak of the sample with Eu3+ additive located at 612nm, which may be a good candidate for red phosphor applications. The luminescent mechanism of Zn2SiO4:Eu3+ is also discussed.
