In the manufacturing of diesel engine, cutting machining is the main processing method. In order to improve efficiency and increase benefit of machining, the cutting database and parameter optimization system is built for the five key parts of marine ship diesel engine, which can provide optimal and rational cutting parameters. Microsoft Visual Basic and Microsoft SQL Server 2000 are used as the database management system, combining the modeling function of Deform 5.03 software. The logical and physical models are designed, and the functions of basic information management and query are realized. It can commend reasonable cutting parameters according to machining condition input. The Weilenmann algorithm method is adopted to calculate the cutting force and motor power, and user can be convenient to judge whether the parameter input is safe and reasonable. The objective function and restrictive conditions are set up by using the simplex method and linear programming, and the optimization function of cutting parameters is realized. A developed prototype system and an example have verified some presented techniques and the research results are the basis of the future development.

In order to realize general management of PCBN tool multimedia information, this paper set up multimedia cutting database of PCBN tool on the platform of Visual Basic, mainly applied database interface technology of Visual Basic and database management system of Microsoft SQL Server 2000. Aimed at the characteristic of large video data, handling relative path was brought forward as a method. Practice proved that handling relative path could realize all functions the database needed, and increase system running speed, general management of PCBN tool information under different machining conditions was realized.

According to the existing problems in production planning management mode and management processes of Chinese medium and small manufacture enterprise, referring to the advanced management concept of MRPII/ERP, a master production schedule system which is suitable for management state of Chinese medium and small manufacture enterprise is researched and developed. The operation process, data flow and ER model of the master production schedule system are discussed and researched. Finally, Microsoft vb.net is selected as the development tool of the master production schedule system and Microsoft SQL Server 2000 is used as the database management system, a master production schedule prototype system is designed and implemented.

Focusing on the machining complexity of large containers where difficult-to-cut materials are used a lot, a cutting process parameter optimization expert system for difficult-to-cut materials is constructed based on experts’ knowledge and computer soft wares (VC++ 6.0and SQL Server 2000). In this paper, we made construction analysis and module design for the expert system, then constructed the knowledge base according to certain constraint models, and realized the functions of every module of the expert system by using the forward inference. This expert system can play a scientific direction role in the process parameters selection for cutting large containers.

According to subject needs, this article considers both processing time and production costs as the objective function. And it gets the mathematical model of the system regarding cutting force, machine power, machining accuracy and tool life as constraints. The system is developed by Visual C++ 6.0 and SQL Server 2000. The database gets reasonable cutting parameters by Hybrid Reasoning. What’s more, the system optimizes the cutting parameters by using Artificial Bee Colony algorithm further. And the optimization results have been verified its correctness.

The combination of metal cutting theory, computer technology and expert knowledge was used to study the use of knowledge-based engineering (KBE) for cutting large containers. This report includes information on the acquirement, expression, and inference and management of KBE. The structure of the KBE system was established by selecting the principles of processing parameters and optimizing the model of machining data and by using the method of expressing knowledge of combining producing type with frame type and by using the software SQL server 2000. The inferential mechanism of every functional module in the system was realized by applying the software, VC++ 6.0. The KBE technology will help technicians to share expert knowledge and experience, and to optimize cutting parameters to intellectualize cutting design and machining.

PT Bukaka Teknik Utama adalah perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang engineering, konstruksi, dan manufaktur. Dalam operasional usaha, diperlukan berbagai izin seperti izin usaha dan izin proyek yang merupakan bagian dari Dokumen Legal. Saat ini informasi Dokumen Legal di PT Bukaka Teknik Utama dikelola dalam aplikasi desktop yang bernama SIDOL (Sistem Informasi Dokumen Legal). Aplikasi juga digunakan untuk memonitoring masa berlaku dokumen. Namun begitu, aplikasi ini memiliki beberapa kekurangan, diantaranya adalah hanya dapat diakses oleh komputer yang terpasang aplikasi tersebut, hanya dapat diakses dari jaringan lokal (LAN), dan sistem notifikasi yang hanya dapat dilihat saat pengguna membuka aplikasi. Untuk mengatasi kekurangan tersebut, akan dilakukan perancangan ulang aplikasi sehingga mampu menjawab kekurangan yang ada. Pembuatan aplikasi menggunakan metode prototipe. Metode ini memiliki lima tahapan pengembangan yaitu communication, quick plan, modeling quick design, construction of prototype, and deployment delivery and feedback. Aplikasi dibangun menggunakan bahasa pemrograman HTML untuk tampilan, PHP untuk pengolahan data di sisi server, CSS untuk page styling, Code Igniter sebagai framework, dan Micsosoft SQL Server sebagai Database Management System. Hasil akhir aplikasi adalah menyediakan aplikasi yang dapat diakses semua karyawan yang membutuhlkan informasi Dokumen Legal serta memberikan notifikasi melalui e-mail ketika terdapat dokumen yang masa berlakunya akan segera berakhir.

AbstractMechanical manufacturing industry consumes substantial energy with low energy efficiency. Increasing pressures from energy price and environmental directive force mechanical manufacturing industries to implement energy efficient technologies for reducing energy consumption and improving energy efficiency of their machining processes. In a practical machining process, cutting parameters are vital variables set by manufacturers in accordance with machining requirements of workpiece and machining condition. Proper selection of cutting parameters with energy consideration can effectively reduce energy consumption and improve energy efficiency of the machining process. Over the past 10 years, many researchers have been engaged in energy efficient cutting parameter optimization, and a large amount of literature have been published. This paper conducts a comprehensive literature review of current studies on energy efficient cutting parameter optimization to fully understand the recent advances in this research area. The energy consumption characteristics of machining process are analyzed by decomposing total energy consumption into electrical energy consumption of machine tool and embodied energy of cutting tool and cutting fluid. Current studies on energy efficient cutting parameter optimization by using experimental design method and energy models are reviewed in a comprehensive manner. Combined with the current status, future research directions of energy efficient cutting parameter optimization are presented.

In order to improve the efficiency of the traditional building materials information management, a construction materials quality detection management system is designed and developed. It includes three subsystems, they are quality testing system, information management system and process monitoring and control system. In the system, SQL Server 2000 is used as background database, Visual C++ 6.0 is used as the development platform, ADO is used as the connection between Visual C++ and SQL Server 2000. By using this system, the original paper records are stored in the database, the testing process is standardizes. The modernization of building materials information management is improved. This system has been successfully used in certain Building Materials Quality Supervision Station, which proved that the development process is suitable for Building Materials Supervision Station to quickly establish construction materials quality detection management system.
