<p><em>Quality can be referred as fitness to use. Furthermore, Quality standard is considered as a way in order to meet customers’ need.  PT AZ is a manufacture enterprise which produce polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipes. This firm has been implementing a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in maintaining defect with no more than 2,5% reject product during process production. However, such defects have been happened in production line which were not meet company standards. This study aims to evaluate defect along production process in order to find suitable solution in improving product quality. Seven Tools and Failure and Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) were used as research method.  The results showed that there were 3 types of defects, namely spot defect, sink marks ant scratch defect. Furthermore, the results of the Cause-and-effect diagram show that human error, </em><em>material</em><em>s and machine are considered as main factors in contributing such defect. In addition, result from FMEA analysis detect that analysis and calculation of the highest RPN 147, namely the human factor is considered as the highest Risk Priority Number with 147 score. This study suggest that further training and supervision should be give to employees in order to improve employers’’ knowledge</em></p><p><em><br /></em></p>

Making full use of network member resources to improve performance has become a strategic choice for manufacturing enterprises. Based on the analysis of member relationship dimensions and manufacture enterprise network types, the influences among member relationship dimensions and their influences on network performance are discussed. The weighting indexes and standards are designed, and structural equation method is used to test the hypothesis. The following results can be obtained: member relationship dimension self-accelerating effects commonly exit, and “the communication’s influence on trust” has become the key for member relation optimization. Trust is important for all networks cooperation. The contract, trust and communication individually become the management key or efficiency, innovation and flexibility manufacturing network.

For an enterprise to survive in a rapid business environment, the enterprise is required to develop core competencies through the understanding of its competitive advantage. In this study, Porter’s five forces were used as factors to evaluate competiveness while importance-performance analysis (IPA) was used as an assessment framework to evaluate the production competitiveness. According to the existing problems in production planning management mode and management processes of Chinese medium and small manufacture enterprise, referring to the advanced management concept of MRPII/ERP, a master production schedule system which is suitable for management state of Chinese medium and small manufacture enterprise is researched and developed. The operation process, data flow and ER model of the master production schedule system are discussed and researched. Finally, Microsoft vb.net is selected as the development tool of the master production schedule system and Microsoft SQL Server 2000 is used as the database management system, a master production schedule prototype system is designed and implemented.
