Reliance on technology has increased manifold and children have not remained aloof from its use. Covid-19 Pandemic forced schools, playgrounds, public places to remain closed resulting in increased use of technology by children for various purposes like education, gaming, entertainment, creative activities, communication, etc. As few technologies are capable of collecting, maintaining, processing, sharing gigantic amounts of personal data, such technologies especially those which direct services specifically towards children, pose a significant threat to the online privacy of children who are vulnerable due to their inability to comprehend the consequences of their online activities. The paper attempts to discuss the technological application and use by children, the privacy threats they may pose, and critically evaluate the adequacy of law in India to tackle them along with recommendations to strengthen online privacy.

This chapter presents a number of suggestions for design of information technology (IT) to be used in public places. The design implications given are based on an exploratory field study conducted in public places where people wait to travel. The study shows that the use of technology must be negotiable and adaptable to support use in different ways, in different contexts and to produce a possibility for others to understand this use. The findings are arranged in three areas: creating privacy (how people act to establish privacy in the public place), adapting to change (how people adapt to social, spatial and temporal changes in the environment), and appearance and activity (how people make efforts to communicate activities to others present in the public place). Each of these areas has aspects that affect the use of IT. Thus they should also influence the design of IT. Based on these findings, we derive implications for design of IT to be used in public places.

Progress in information technology that is so fast is expected to improve the quality of education in Indonesia. In the world of information technology education can help and support the learning process. Especially now all the learning process activities can be done online. Progress in information technology must also be supported by quality human resources. In this case the teacher is very instrumental in the utilization of information technology in the world of education. Because the teacher is one of the education supervisors who will encourage the advancement of the quality of education in Indonesia. But in reality the quality of teachers in Indonesia is inadequate. There are still many teachers who cannot use information technology in learning especially for teachers who are senior or old. As teacher supervisors, they must improve the quality of their performance in using technology. To improve the ability of teachers to use technology, ongoing training is needed to use technology. The role of the head of the school as a supervisor is also needed, namely the principal is obliged to supervise, control, and approach the teacher in terms of the use of technology in the learning process.

This study aims to use information technology, uncertainty or moderation duties and interactions between task uncertainty with the use of information technology to end user computing satisfaction. In this study used 70 respondents who actively use computers and working with several companies banking on the city of Padang. The data used are the primary data obtained through questionnaires. The study used three types of variables, the first is the independent variable, namely the utilization of information technology, both moderating variables, namely the uncertainty of the task, the third is the dependent variable is satisfaction of end user computing. The stages of hypothesis testing is done by using a regression model of moderating and statistical t-test. Based on the results of testing the first hypothesis (HI) was found to significantly influence the utilization of information technology to the satisfaction of end user computing. The second hypothesis (H2) testing results found that task uncertainty did not significantly influence the end user computing satisfaction. The third hypothesis (H3) testing found that the interaction or moderation between the use of technology with task uncertainty no significant effect on end user computing satisfaction.

Background: People who are homeless experience poorer health outcomes, and challenges accessing healthcare contribute to the experienced health inequality. There has been an expansion in using technology to promote health and wellbeing and technology has the potential to enable people who are socially excluded, including those who are homeless, to be able to access health services. However, little research has been undertaken to explore how technology is used to promote health and wellbeing for those who are homeless. This review aims to address the questions: ‘what mobile health (mHealth) related technology is used by homeless populations’ and ‘what is the health impact of mobile technology for homeless populations’? Methods: An integrative review methodology was employed. A systematic search of electronic databases was carried out between 4 January 2021 and 30 April 2021, searching for papers published between 2015 and 2021, which yielded 2113 hits, relevant papers were selected using specified inclusion and exclusion criteria reported using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analysis. The quality assessment of each paper included in the review was undertaken using the Mixed Methods Appraisal Tool. Results: Seventeen papers were selected for review and thematic analysis identified four themes: technology ownership, barriers to use, connectivity and health benefits. Conclusion: It is evident that technology has the potential to support the health and wellbeing of individuals who are homeless; however, there are challenges regarding connectivity to the internet, as well as issues of trust in who has access to personal data and how they are used. Further research is needed to explore the use of health technology with people who are homeless to address these challenges.

Provision of remote services became relevant all over the world, during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic. Latvian supervisors were also forced to transfer their practice to the digital space as well. COVID-19 pandemic challenges opened a wider range of opportunities for improvement remote practice. Pandemic also highlighted the risks associated with lack of relevant competences. At the global level over the last decade, risks associated with remote counselling summarized in guidelines, providing professionals with examples of best practice. In Latvia, on other hand, such guidelines have not adopted yet. This study developed with the aim to find out the awareness of Latvian supervisors about the risks (cyber security) of using information technology and the protection of personal data in the conditions created by the COVID-19 pandemic. To find out how Latvian supervisors are aware about the risks of using information technology (cyber security) and personal data protection, a survey conducted among Latvian supervisors and organizing an expert panel discussion, scientific strength of the study ensured by data triangulation. The obtained results allowed to conclude that the COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the need for supervision remote practice, at the same time the research data show that the awareness of Latvian supervisors about the risks of information technology use (cyber security) and personal data protection is medium to low.The results of the research show that in the education of Latvian supervisors it is necessary to allocate place for the acquisition of information technology (cyber security) risk and personal data protection regulation. This research emphasizes the importance of several supervisors’ competences such as digital knowledge and personal data protection, however further research is needed to find the most effective methods how to improve these competences.

The relevance of the study is dictated by the introduction of digitalization in all spheres of human life, and timely protection of information and personal data of citizens in the first place. The objective of the study was the need to transform the methods and approaches of information protection during its transmission, creation and storage. Methodological arsenal of the study is presented by scientific methods of cognition of the studied phenomenon content, the structuring of its components and the system of generalization, and analysis of the causal relationship between the visualization functionality and information security of management decisions. The author analyzed the main virtualization technologies for digital business transformation and concluded that there is the need to improve the legal framework in this area. The significance of this article lies in the fact that the use of the virtualization method will increase the level of business security with minimal losses. Current GOST R 56938-2016 "Information protection when using virtualization technologies" does not fully reflect the issues of information protection in terms of its visualization, which leads to the need to improve the legal framework when using virtualization technologies for data protection. It is essential to pay special attention to cloud storage, collaboration and communication services, remote project management programs, cybersecurity solutions, and CRM systems. This is particularly relevant today during the emergence of virtual workplaces and transferring employees to remote work from home.

A secular trend of the development of medicine in the 20th century was on the ways of strengthening the foundations of public health, formation of systems of affordable medical care. Human genome deciphering opens wide prospects for using the obtained data in medicine. In recent years commercial medical organizations have been developing genetic research and personal genomic testing services. The paper is devoted to the analysis of the importance of legal self-regulation in the field of genomic counseling in the Russian Federation. The authors investigate the prospects of the introduction of personalized medicine and limitations that arise today in one of the areas of the approach under consideration, namely: forecasting predisposition to diseases of mixed nature, which is related to the peculiarities of development of medical and demographic situation in the world. The question is raised about the need for broad population studies to verify the risk values for diseases with low genetic determinacy. The authors conclude that it is impossible to predict what medicine of the future will be, but the results of genome decryption and increasing availability of personal data represent a unique social phenomenon that should be developed within the legal framework. In the coming years, the debate on the role of legal mechanisms in the self-regulation of genetic research and genetic services will become increasingly important. At the international level, this discussion will be focused on the fundamental issue of respect for individual rights in the interpretation of the data received. As genetic advice evolves, the issue of responsibility for the information provided and the availability of national regulatory mechanisms within the framework of state regulation or self-regulated professional associations will become a key concern.
