This research is a quantitative study that examines the participatory leadership model, school culture and motivation with school effectiveness with path analysis techniques. The respondents of this study were 343 teachers in Junior High Schools in Medan from 2,140 teachers in 44 State Junior High Schools. The findings of this study statistically show that simultaneously there is a positive and significant influence of transformational leadership and school culture on the work motivation of Junior High School in Medan teachers, where the effect is 5.9%. Likewise transformational leadership, school culture and work motivation have a significant and significant influence on the effectiveness of State Junior High Schools in Medan, which amounted to 13.7%.

This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the performance of teachers in learning SMP Negeri in Bengkalis Regency. The population sample in this study is amounted to 56 people. They are all teachers who are Civil Servants who teach at Bengkalis Regency Public Junior High Schools consisting of Public Junior High Schools in Bukit Batu District and State Junior High Schools in Bandar Laksamana District. Data was collected using a questionnaire. The data analysis used in this research is descriptive quantitative and path analysis. The results of the study show: 1) the work climate has an effect on teacher job satisfaction by 43.1%; 2) work motivation has an effect on teacher job satisfaction by 42.5%; 3) work climate has an effect on teacher performance by 35.3%; 4) work motivation has an effect on teacher performance by 32.7%; 5) job satisfaction has an effect on teacher performance by 26.0%; 6) work climate has an effect on teacher performance through job satisfaction of 11.2%; 7) work motivation has an effect on teacher performance through job satisfaction of 11.0%. The meaning is that if the work climate has good quality, is comfortable, and pleasant, it will lead to satisfaction for a teacher, and this will trigger the teacher's enthusiasm in teaching which will have an impact on improving teacher performance.

The aim of the research is to find out the influence of work motivation, work discipline and interpersonal communication on teacher’s performance. This research was conducted at Junior High Schools in Samarinda Ulu Sub-district, Samarinda City with the total sample of 105 people. This research applied survey method and the data were collected using questionnaire with four instruments namely teacher performance, work motivation, work discipline and interpersonal communication of the teachers. The findings showed that there was an influence of work motivation (X1), work motivation (X2) and interpersonal communication (X3) on teacher’s performance (Y) with the coefficient of regression equation: Y = 8.196 + 0.780X1 + 0.148X2 + 0.087X3. The coefficient of Determination (R2) was 0.955 meaning that the contribution of working discipline, working motivation and interpersonal communication of the teacher on teacher’sperformance was 95.5%. Based on the research findings, it is concluded that the teacher performance in the junior high schools in Samarinda Ulu Sub-district, Samarinda City can be increased by the increase of work motivation, work discipline and interpersonal communication of the teachers.

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan pengaruh: 1) kompetensi guru, 2) komitmen kerja guru, 3) motivasi kerja, dan 4) kompetensi guru, komitmen kerja, motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja guru di SMP-SMP negeri andalan di Kabupaten Sleman. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasional. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru di SMP negeri andalan se Kabupaten Sleman Tahun Ajaran 2012/2013, meliputi guru-guru di SMPN 1 Godean, SMPN 1 Sleman, SMPN 3 Sleman, SMPN 4 Pakem, SMPN 4 Depok, SMPN 1 Depok, dan SMPN 1 Kalasan sebanyak 262 guru. Sampel sebesar 150 orang ditentukan menggunakan teknik proporsional random sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket dan dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis regresi ganda. This study is correlational research. The population in this study was all of the teachers of reliable state SMP’s in Sleman District in the academic year of 2012/2013, including teachers of SMPN 1 Godean, SMPN 1 Sleman, SMPN 3 Sleman, SMPN 4 Pakem, SMPN 4 Depok, SMPN 1 Depok and SMPN 1 Kalasan, totaling 262 teachers. A sample of 150 people was established using the proportional random sampling technique. The data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed using regression analysis techniques. This study aims to see whether there is an influence on teacher performance and the utilization of learning resources on student achievement in the field of Islamic Education in Private Junior High Schools in the Bukit Raya District of Pekanbaru City. The population in this study were all VII grade students of Private Junior High Schools in the Bukit Raya District of Pekanbaru, which amounted to 323 people. The sample in this study was taken by proportionate random sampling technique with Slovin formula that is 173 people. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire technique, the data collected was analyzed using multiple regression analysis namely Y = a + b1X1 + b2X2. The results of this study indicate the value of R2 (coefficient of determination) or R Square of 0.284 or 28.4%. This value can be interpreted that changes in student achievement by changes in the value of the independent variable teacher performance and the utilization of learning resources by 28.4% while 71.6% is determined by changes in other factors. Tcount value for learning motivation variable is 3.529 with sig. 0.001 smaller than 0.05 this means that there is an influence of teacher performance on student achievement and tcount for the utilization of learning resources variable is 3,659 with sig. 0,000 is less than 0.05, this means that there is an influence of the use of learning resources on student achievement. It can be concluded that there is an influence between teacher performance and the utilization of learning resources on student achievement in the field of Islamic Education in Private Junior High Schools in the Bukit Raya District of Pekanbaru City.
