Abstract. The purpose of the study was to establish the anthropometric and dermatoglyphic characteristics of the men's volleyball team from the Department of Huila that participated in the XX National Sports Games in Colombia and in turn, to determine the level of correlation between these two components. The research had a quantitative approach and correlational scope. 13 players participated from the men's volleyball team of the Department of Huila (age 22.2 years ± 4.4; height 183.6 m ± 9.9; mass 79.6 kg ± 11.9; body mass index [BMI] 23.6 kg/m2 ± 3.4, and fat percentage 10.09% ± 3.26). To estimate the somatotype, the protocol proposed by Carter (2002) was applied and the protocol established by Cummins and Midlo (1961) was used to determine the dermatoglyphic profile. Bivariate correlations were performed with Kendall's tau coefficient (t) to determine the correlation between the variables. The team presents a mesomorph-endomorphic somatotype and a dermatoglyphic profile of loops (68.46% ± 17.4), whorl (28.46% ± 18.64), and arches (3.08% ± 6.30) with mean values in the delta index count (12.54 ± 2.18) and sum of the full quantity of lines (130.38 ± 46.00). The volleyball team is classified in class IV of the dermatoglyphic and somatic functional index; where, the low presence of arches and a higher count of loops are typical of sports due to the dominance of power, coordination, and endurance. No significant direct or inverse relationship was found (p > .05) between the characteristics of the anthropometric and dermatoglyphic profile in the population evaluated.

We investigated whether an inverse relationship exists between intraocular pressure (IOP) and effective filtration area (EFA) in the trabecular meshwork (TM) in a steroid-induced ocular hypertensive (SIOH) mouse model and the morphological changes associated with the reduction of EFA. C57BL/6 mice (n = 15 per group) received either 0.1% dexamethasone (DEX) or saline eye drops twice daily for five weeks. IOP was measured weekly. Fluorescent tracers were injected into the anterior chamber to label EFA at the endpoint. Injected eyes were fixed and processed for confocal microscopy. EFA in the TM was analyzed. Light and electron microscopy were performed in high- and low-tracer regions of six eyes per group. The mean IOP was ~4 mm Hg higher in DEX-treated than saline-treated control eyes (p < 0.001) at the endpoint. EFA was reduced in DEX-treated eyes compared to controls (p < 0.01) and negatively correlated with IOP (R2 = 0.38, p = 0.002). Reduced thickness of juxtacanalicular tissue (JCT) and increased abnormal extracellular matrix in the JCT were found to be associated with reduced EFA. Our data confirm the inverse relationship between EFA and IOP, suggesting that morphological changes in the JCT contribute to the reduction of EFA, thus elevating IOP in SIOH mouse eyes.

The study deals with the impact of current and capital public  spending  on unemployment in Sudan during the period (1992-2018), and the importance of the study, from the fact that it deals with topics of great scientific and practical importance, and the aim of the study to know the nature of public spending in the current and capital aspects, the nature of unemployment, in addition to an alysing the relationship between these variables, and the problem of  study was that there is a steady  increase  in Current and capital  public  spending during the study period and therefore the unemployment situation in Sudan did not improve,  as the study used the descriptive and analytical approach, in addition to the standard method to know the relationship between the variables studied, and the study reached many results, the most important of which is: that there is a expulsionrelation ship with statistical significance Between current spending and the unemployment rate, there is also a morally inverse relationship between capital spending and the unemployment rate. The most important recommendations recommended by the study are to increase capital spending and direct this spending in creating and expanding the scope of productive projects, as well as to spend on vocational training centers and develop them and to transfer the experience of the countries that preceded Sudan in this area, which contributes to reducing the unemployment rate

Two commonly used constructs in sport psychology researches are aggression and sportsmanship. In the present research, we attempted to assess the correlations between these two phenomena among male water polo players. The main objective was to explore the differences in aggression in the sport-specific positions of water polo in different aspects - physique, age, etc. - considered. Furthermore, the research sought to demonstrate the inverse relationship between aggression and sportsmanship in a water polo sample. To access these constructs in our research besides the Buss-Perry Aggression Questionnaire and the Sportsmanship Attitude Scale a self-formulated water polo specific questionnaire was used, which intended to measure the aggression in the water during water polo matches. From the results, it can be seen that, according to our sample, both the trait aggression of the players and the role determined by their positions in the game play a decisive role when it comes to the aggression of an athlete. Moreover, the results obtained for water polo players also proved that sportsmanship and aggression are two contradictory constructs.

Abstract In this study, we present a climatology of observed cell mergers along the paths of 342 discrete, right-moving supercells and their association with temporal changes in low-level mesocyclone strength (measured using azimuthal shear). Nearly half of the examined supercells experience at least one cell merger. The frequency of cell merger occurrence varies somewhat by geographical region and the time of day. No general relationship exists between cell merger occurrence and temporal changes in low-level azimuthal shear; this corroborates prior studies in showing that the outcome of a merger is probably sensitive to storm-scale and environmental details not captured in this study. Interestingly, we find a significant inverse relationship between pre-merger azimuthal shear and the subsequent temporal evolution of azimuthal shear. In other words, stronger low-level mesocyclones are more likely to weaken after cell mergers, and weaker low-level mesocyclones are more likely to strengthen. We also show that shorter-duration cell merger “events” (comprised of multiple individual mergers) are more likely to be associated with a steady or weakening low-level mesocyclone, while longer-duration cell merger events (3–4 individual mergers) are more likely to be associated with a strengthening low-level mesocyclone. These findings suggest what physical processes may influence the outcome of a merger in different scenarios and that the impact of these processes on low-level mesocyclone strength may change depending on storm maturity. We establish a baseline understanding of the supercell-cell merger climatology and highlight areas for future research in how to better anticipate the outcomes of cell mergers.

Background. Kidney has protracted nephrogenesis and depend on hemodynamic changes on the highest level in support of natural transition to extrauterine circulation. Fetal communications like Ductus Arteriosus take part in the shunting from the aorta to the pulmonary artery. Increase of this shunting of the blood leads to hyperperfusion with hypoxic changes of some development systems of organs with protracted morphogenesis so like kidneys. Objective. To determine the features of postnatal morphogenesis of the kidneys in premature infants with a gestational age of 25 to 35 weeks on the background of an open ductus arteriosus. Methods. 21 autopsy material premature infant’s kidney which were fixed by 10%-formalin and then were subjected to the standard histological procedures. Slides were stained by hematoxylin and eosin. We used the complex of histological and morphometric methods. There were created 3-demenshional models of kidney’s fragments. We carried out biometrical and statistical analysis. Results. During our research it was determines that the changes of the volume of the functional parenchyma of the kidney and the diameter of the Ductus Arteriosus became in inverse relationship. The wider the duct the smaller the volume of the functional parenchyma because of atrophic and necrotic changes during the late stages of glomerulo- and tubulogenesis. These changes could be distinguished by the quantitative density of development on three germinate layers of the cortex of kidney. Сonclusion. Summing up, it determined the retardation of glomerulogenesis particularly superficial area of the cortex because of the opened Ductus Arteriosus.

<p>Although capillary and permeability are the two most important physical properties controlling fluid distribution and flow in nature, the interconnectivity function between them was a pressing challenge. Because knowing permeability leads to determining capillary pressure. Geodynamics (e.g., subsurface water, CO2 sequestration) and organs (e.g., plants, blood vessels) depend on capillary pressure and permeability. The first determines how far the fluid can reach, while the second determines how fast the fluid can flow in porous media. They are also vital to designing synthetic materials and micro-objects like membranes and micro-robotics. Here, we reveal the capillary and permeability intertwined behavior function. And demonstrate the unique physical connectors: pore throat size and network, linking capillary pressure and permeability. Our discovery quantifies the inverse relationship between capillary pressure and permeability for the first time, which we analytically derived and experimentally proved.</p>
