This study aims to perceive the effect of financial entrepreneurship performance (FEP) over sustainable innovation (SI) disclosure in an emerging market. Jordanian banks are tested based on a multiple regression analysis for the periods 2008 and 2018 and a time series forecasting webinar analysis for the period from 2019 to 2029 based on data ranging from 2008 to 2018. Innovation is indicated through disclosed intangible assets (IA), and items related to research and development (R&D) costs. As organizations anticipate stability by concentrating on technological awareness to influence higher innovative performance (Guo, Guo, Zhou, & Wu, 2020), this study came to converse the relationships between previous literature variables; Hussain (2015) as well as Lassala, Apetrei, and Sapena (2017) revealed through the regression models that there is a relationship between FEP and SI. Meanwhile, bank FEP is directed by return on assets (ROA) and return on equity (ROE). Results reveal that bank FEP affects SI disclosure in a positive manner for the period 2008 and at a higher significant level than 2018. In the meantime, the growth prediction analyses divulge that both ROA and ROE are expected to decrease rapidly within a coming couple of years and then increase promptly.

O estudo reforça as evidências de outros estudos em organizações rurais do cerrado brasileiro e contribui para o fortalecimento do campo da inovação aberta e sustentável em países em desenvolvimento como o Brasil.ABSTRACTThe growing concern in promoting Sustainable Development (SD) has led to the rise of sustainable innovations, understood as innovations that integrate environmental, social, and economic benefits, as well as a competitive differential. In the state of Mato Grosso do Sul (MS) (Brazil), abundant native fruits of the Cerrado, such as cumbaru, have been a source of income for families, contributing to the conservation of biodiversity. Cumbaru has been extracted since 2005 in the Andalucia Settlement, Nioaque (MS), where its production was certified by the Instituto Biodinâmico (IBD) and was created the Cerrado Research and Training Production Center (CEPPEC). This study investigated the sustainable characteristics of innovations in cumbaru chestnut in the Andalucia Settlement. We conducted a case study, supported by interviews and observations, to study process innovations related to cumbaru chestnut. The existence of open innovation was observed. Innovations related to environmental labeling were identified, which were classified and associated to the fundamental dimensions of SD. The extraction and production of cumbaru chestnut is currently one of the activities that propels living conditions of settlers of Andalucia, as an important income supplement. The cumbaru chestnut itself is understood as an innovation for the settlers and the knowledge acquired, mainly in partnership with other institutions, such as university, based on open and sustainable innovation, associated with another types of innovation. The study reinforces the results of other studies in rural organizations in Brazilian cerrado and contributes to the strengthening of studies on open and sustainable innovation in developing countries like Brazil.

An entrepreneur must always innovate, so that the products created can face increasingly tough competitive conditions. The partner who became the venue for the activity was Ms. Erma's SME, which is located in Jambi. From the results of initial online observations, it can be seen that the main problem faced by partners is innovation, there is no partner understanding about the importance of sustainable innovation strategies in doing business. This condition occurs because partners lack knowledge about innovation. So that the products produced by partners are monotonous and less innovative, even many are similar to competitors. The activity method is carried out by socializing or providing training to partners online via Zoom. Submission of materials is presented in the form of PPT related to the innovation strategy. The results of the activity showed that the provision of knowledge about innovation had run smoothly, partners were enthusiastic in listening to the material and discussing with the PKM (Student Creativity Program) Team. Furthermore, through innovation, partners can create products into products that can improve business sustainability.

This study considers relationships among leadership styles and skills (sustainability leadership, innovation leadership and sustainable innovation) as drivers of sustainable innovation capability in the Michelin-starred restaurant context. The study used semi-structured qualitative interviews with a sample of nine chefs in Germany. The purpose was to examine the impact of sustainability and leadership on the innovation management of Michelin-starred chefs and to determine crucial aspects impacting haute cuisine innovations. Following earlier research, the findings indicate that a holistic view of sustainability is held by high-end chefs in this sector with considerations for the four main pillars (environmental, social, economic, cultural). Leadership style was seen as key to innovation management in the haute cuisine context. However, the interviews revealed that the issue of environmental sustainability was perceived to be of lessor significance when considering innovations in haute cuisine, due to customer expectations and insufficient legislation or government incentives. The external factors of market demand, involvement by a variety of stakeholders, and guest values/needs were viewed as key determinants of innovation type, success and directions. The internal factors of fitting with the business vision, brand loyalty of consumers, and employee skills and engagement were identified as key drivers of innovation decisions and success.

PurposeThe paper aims to analyze the relevance of networking and social capital in promoting the adoption of sustainable innovation, then reinforcing trajectories of multifunctional agriculture. It puts forwards a systemic perspective by focusing on agricultural knowledge and innovation systems. More precisely, we share the idea of “micro agricultural knowledge and innovation systems”, by addressing ambidexterity as engine for boosting sustainable innovation.Design/methodology/approachEmpirical analysis is focused on sustainable innovation adopted by young farmers in Italy and on the mediation effect of ambidextrous relations in performing innovation adoption. Ambidextrous relations are analyzed within at the micro-AKIS level, through the lens of social capital. Relationships between social capital and innovation adoption are statistically measured.FindingsThe analysis shows how ambidexterity develops a mediation effect, with a strong impact on the farm's innovative capacity. Actually, our results confirm that ambidextrous relations reveal good performance and stimulate innovation and, consequently, farms' competitiveness, alongside the path of multifunctional agriculture. As a consequence, the relevance of networking activity in adoption of sustainable innovation may address possible policy action with the aim to strengthen ambidexterity and farm's innovativeness.Originality/valueThe paper tries to fill a gap in literature, by focusing on micro-AKIS which are explored through the lens of social capital.

An essential aspect of today’s companies is to convert their knowledge into innovative applications that have a sustainable effect; therefore, this study focuses on determining the relationship between the three mentioned constructs. To verify this, a questionnaire was applied to 492 companies in the tourism sector in southern Sonora, Mexico, whose information was captured in SPSS and analyzed with structural equations in the SmartPLS software. The main findings affirm that knowledge management has a direct, positive, and significant relationship with sustainability and innovation, as well as a positive and direct relationship between innovation and sustainability. Companies can focus on knowledge management that will generate innovation and in turn will be distinguished by achieving sustainability, with a possible generation of competitive advantage, as well as sustainable innovation.
