This paper presents a new method of inter-turn short-circuit detection in cage induction motors. The method is based on experimental data recorded during load changes. Measured signals were analyzed using a genetic algorithm. This algorithm was next used in the diagnostics procedure. The correctness of fault detection was verified during experimental tests for various configurations of inter-turn short-circuits. The tests were run for several relevant diagnostic signals that contain symptoms of faults in an examined cage induction motor. The proposed algorithm of inter-turn short-circuit detection for various levels of winding damage and for various loads of the examined motor allows one to state the usefulness of this diagnostic method in normal industry conditions of motor exploitation.

With the expansion of China's securities market scale, securities companies as an important participant in the securities market have also developed rapidly. Under the influence of the global epidemic, the transaction volume of securities companies continued to decline, the profit prospects of securities firms increased, liquidity continued to be loose, and the overall policy budget was surplus. Through the efficiency analysis of securities companies, we can understand the resource utilization and industry conditions of securities companies, find out the gaps and deficiencies, and then improve, and improve the operating efficiency of the industry. In order to evaluate the operating efficiency of securities companies more scientific and objective, this paper adopts DEA-Malmquist index and super-efficiency DEA method, based on the financial statement data disclosed by 25 securities companies in 2016~2020, establishes an evaluation index system, analyzes the operating efficiency of securities companies, calculates and analyzes the operating efficiency of securities companies and reveals their internal reasons. The research results show that (1) steady improvement of operating productivity; (2) technical progress is the main factor; operating efficiency of (3) with different securities companies, scale efficiency weakly hinders technical efficiency; (4) Large securities companies should pay attention to control scale, develop innovative business, strengthen cost management, risk control and risk response ability.

North. The problem is focused on how the laws governing the criminal act of ballpress smuggling and the factors causing ballpress smuggling as well as the policies implemented in handling the crime of ballpress smuggling. The research method in this paper is a normative legal research method. The data were collected through primary, secondary and tertiary data sources, then analyzed using qualitative analysis methods. This study concludes that the legal rules regarding the criminal act of ballpress smuggling are as follows: (a) Law Number 17 of 2006 concerning Amendments to Law no. 10 of 1995 concerning Customs. (b) Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection (UUPK) (c) Regulation of the Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia Number 51/M-DAG/PER/7/2015 of 2015 concerning the Prohibition of the Import of Used Clothing (d) Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No.732/MPP/Kep/10/2002 concerning Textile Import Trading System. The factors causing ballpress smuggling in the waters of the Malacca Strait in North Sumatra are: (a) Geographical Factors, (b) Domestic Industry Conditions. (c), Natural Resources (SDA), (d) Excess Production, (e) Transportation, (f) Mentality, (g) Society. The policies taken against ballpress smuggling in the waters of the Malacca Strait in North Sumatra are: (a) The penal route, namely by applying criminal law (criminal law application), (b) The non-penal route.

Several outbreaks of pospiviroids have been reported in pepper and tomato crops worldwide. Tracing back the origin of the infections has led to different sources. In some cases, the infections were considered to result from seed transmission. Other outbreaks were related to transmission from ornamental crops and weeds. Pospiviroids, in particular potato spindle tuber viroid, are regulated by many countries because they can be harmful to potatoes and tomatoes. Seed transmission has been considered an important pathway of introduction and spread. However, the importance of this pathway can be questioned. This paper presents data on seed transmission from large-scale grow-out trials of infested pepper and tomato seed lots produced under standard seed-industry conditions. In addition, it presents the results of a systematic review of published data on seed transmission and outbreaks in commercial pepper and tomato crops. Based on the results of the grow-out trials and review of the literature, it was concluded that the role of seed transmission in the spread of pospiviroids in practice is possibly overestimated.

PurposeStrategic literature has focused on how economies of scale in a firm offering outsourcing may generate incentives for clients to increase the outsourced services, but there has been limited research on how the clients’ features may influence the scope of services that they hire with an outsourcing provider. This study analyzes whether a client’s efficiency motivates it to increase ties with a specific provider of knowledge-intensive services in the context of business process outsourcing (BPO). We further explore whether industry conditions moderate the relationship.Design/methodology/approachA research framework is developed consisting of three main hypotheses. We combine industry data and proprietary and financial data from a longitudinal sample of 107 client firms of a multinational outsourcing service provider to test our hypotheses.FindingsWe find that more efficient firms hire more services from an outsourcing provider and that the munificence of the client firm’s industry positively moderates this relationship. Our results suggest that efficient clients can better keep transaction costs under control when accessing, assimilating, and exploiting the knowledge embedded in an expanded set of services provided by an outsourcing supplier.Originality/valueThis study extends the absorptive capacity perspective by showing that a client’s efficiency reinforces its opportunities to absorb knowledge-intensive services from a supplier when expanding the range of operations in the context of BPO.

The subject of the study is the adaptability of an industrial enterprise. The purpose of the study is to identify the most significant factors that affect the level of adaptability of an industrial enterprise. The research methods used in the work are observation, collection, analysis and synthesis, comparison, grouping, system and complex approach. Results of the work. Within the framework of this study, the authors analyzed the adaptability of an industrial enterprise, which by its results is logically related to the full range of final results of the enterprise functioning as a production system and is subordinated to the need to achieve a given level of such results. The scope of application of the research results is the innovation policy of the enterprise, focused on improving its positioning in the market. Conclusions. The efficiency, complexity and cost of implementing behavioral, parametric and structural adaptation of an enterprise to a changing external environment increase in the order they are listed. Therefore, the management of the enterprise always faces the problem of choosing the optimal method of adaptation, first, which allows to ensure the preservation of the state of homeostatic equality of the enterprise and its external environment, and secondly, which can be implemented by it both in terms of existing competence and available funds. The optimal adaptation methods are determined by the existing potential of the enterprise, the industry conditions of competitive interaction and the combination of macro-environment factors.

AbstractThis chapter covers the history of the international market development of the researched firms and in addition how these companies established agent networks, built sales subsidiaries worldwide, or enlisted partnerships, and how they reacted to constantly changing market developments requiring adjustments in their distribution networks. The early founders of Swiss SMEs engaged in extensive travel to promote their companies at a time when the transport infrastructure was still rudimentary. Distributors and agent networks were built and still maintained by smaller companies, at times expanded to include formal distribution partnerships. Subsidiary networks were the preferred choice of larger companies which had greater volumes per country markets. Sometimes, market entry was achieved by building or acquiring manufacturing operations. Cracking some of the most difficult markets, such as Japan, posed special challenges. And finally, when industry conditions changed, even well-planned distribution strategies needed to be changed.
