Abstract The climate and environmental aspects are one of the things that affect architectural products. The city as a gathering place that interacts for a particular purpose has influenced the shape and visual of the city. The density of buildings in a city has affected the urban microclimate. Urban get hotter than rural areas. Urban planners need to pay attention to several aspects related to the solution to the design of the humid tropics. The concept of greening the city evenly and thoroughly, so that the thermal is not too high that can affect comfort. In this research used Rhinoceros 5, Grasshopper, Ladybug, and ladybug for simulation and validation data of wet bulb temperature on a psychometric chart and CBE Thermal Comfort Tool from ASHRAE-55 standard. The purpose of this study used simulation is to facilitate and predict the thermal conditions of buildings and the environment. This application is also used by researchers and architect designers. Based on the simulation, the indoor maximum effective temperature and standard effective temperature are always uncomfortable zones. The building condition with wooden construction is higher of thermal comfort compared with concrete construction buildings and the wood construction is faster reaches maximum value compared to concrete construction.

An important area in a gathering place is a region attracting the constant attention of people and has evident visual features, such as a flexible stage or an open-air show. Finding such areas can help security supervisors locate the abnormal regions automatically. The existing related methods lack an efficient means to find important area candidates from a scene and have failed to judge whether or not a candidate attracts people’s attention. To realize the detection of an important area, this study proposes a two-stage method with a novel multi-input attention network (MAN). The first stage, called important area candidate generation, aims to generate candidate important areas with an image-processing algorithm (i.e., K-means++, image dilation, median filtering, and the RLSA algorithm). The candidate areas can be selected automatically for further analysis. The second stage, called important area candidate classification, aims to detect an important area from candidates with MAN. In particular, MAN is designed as a multi-input network structure, which fuses global and local image features to judge whether or not an area attracts people’s attention. To enhance the representation of candidate areas, two modules (i.e., channel attention and spatial attention modules) are proposed on the basis of the attention mechanism. These modules are mainly based on multi-layer perceptron and pooling operation to reconstruct the image feature and provide considerably efficient representation. This study also contributes to a new dataset called gathering place important area detection for testing the proposed two-stage method. Lastly, experimental results show that the proposed method has good performance and can correctly detect an important area.

Background: Government seeks health services for the elderly by holding the Elderly Posyandu. Gelang urban village 3th hamlet is working area of Rakit 1 Health Center which has a decreased percentage of elderly visits, namely 25.75% in September and 16.5% in October. This is due to the physical condition of the elderly and the concern of the elderly when the disease is revealed. The purpose of this study was to determine the participation of elderly and factors supporting and inhibiting. Methods: research method uses a qualitative approach with purposive sampling technique. Data were collected by observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews with 7 peoples. To prove the validity of the data using triangulation techniques to 5 people. Results: form of elderly participation is social participation, existence of proposals, and the provision of voluntary cash. The percentage elderly visits showed only 10.62%. This is because of positive response from elderly, as gathering place, existence gymnastics activities, distance and friendly service. The inhibiting factors are physical condition, the busyness, fear, incomplete infrastructure, lack of family support, existence of screening, and forget about the schedule of activities. Conclusion: participation still low so efforts are needed community leaders to overcome the inhibiting factors to increase elderly visits. Keywords: Participation, Inhibiting, Supporting, Utilization of Posyandu

This study discusses the concept of a multicultural society in a sociological perspective, where the Indonesian state as a gathering place for various ethnic groups, nations, religions and beliefs in its history has provided valuable lessons. There are times when diversity in Indonesia creates conflict, but in other places there is also the diversity that is owned by the Indonesian people as a source of strength to keep each other from being crushed by the progress of the times. Understanding multiculturalism is not something that must be owned by intellectuals or those from community leaders only, but all levels, layers, and lines of society become a necessity for the importance of understanding this multiculturalism. Because at this time the reality is that Indonesian people in general are very vulnerable to disaster due to SARA (ethnic, religion, race, and inter-group) issues that are blown by electronic media. In order to prevent "bloody conflict" disasters from happening again, multiculturalism will always be relevant to be discussed throughout the ages, considering that generations are always changing. The purpose of this study is to bring the understanding of multiculturalism in particular to the younger generation, and in general at all levels of society, not just an academic discourse. The method in writing this work uses library research, as well as by presenting examples of cases that have occurred in Indonesia. The results of the study in the discussion chapter, in general it can be concluded that the understanding of multiculturalism in Indonesia is not something that comes from outside, meaning that local wisdom created from ancient times has also strengthened the conditions of multicultural society. But on the other hand, unequal access to education by the community until now, the potential for horizontal conflict is always there. In the context of the consequences of a pluralistic society in Indonesia, that within a diverse structure, the seeds of conflict at times become a latent threat to damage the social order. And problems at the local level will easily become national problems because there are no longer limits for people to consume information

Abstract With the rapid development of social economy, the urban and rural environment, form and infrastructure have also under- gone earth-shaking changes. As a gathering place for human activities, urban and rural areas play a vital role in the interaction between humans and society. If traditional machine learning methods are used to perceive changes in the intentional connotation of urban and rural areas, it is easy to ignore the detailed information of the intentional target. At the same time, the perception accuracy needs to be improved. Therefore, the deep neural network in this paper proposes a way to perceive the temporal and spatial changes of urban and rural intentional connotations from the perspective of remote sensing. The framework first uses the multi-branch DenseNet to capture the multi-scale spatiotemporal information of the intended target, and embeds it with high-level semantics and low-level physical appearance information. Secondly, a multi-branch cross-channel attention module is designed to perform refined and integrated processing of multi-level spatiotemporal information to realize the aggregation of multi-branch information. Finally, it was tested and verified on two different time data sets, and good performance was achieved.

Purpose This paper aims to explore how place identity can be expressed in residents’ place image descriptions, addressing differences and similarities in place identity expressions between residents’ descriptions of the image of their place and the image of the place as described to others. Design/methodology/approach In-depth interviews were conducted with residents of a Swedish city. Place image descriptions were analyzed through thematic analysis. Findings Different types of identity perspectives manifest in the place image descriptions of residents. Respondents’ associations reflect place, person and social group identity perspectives, including their own perspective as residents, but also as visitors, or a combination of both. Priming is needed when gathering place image perceptions, to establish which underlying identity perspective is expressed. Research limitations/implications This study offers a Nordic perspective on the organic communication of place image. The scope and qualitative nature of this study is a limitation to its generalizability but also suggests a rich ground for future cross-cultural studies on the topic. Practical implications Results point to the importance of accurately formulating questions to catch stakeholders’ place image. Insights are offered into how stakeholders communicate Nordic place image perceptions when engaging in communication about a place and into the effects of identity on organic place brand communication. Originality/value To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this study is among the first to explore how key stakeholders’ lenses to interpret a place brand are activated in the communication of place image, and how this influences their descriptions of the place.
