In real life, the text is one of the main carrier forms of information, which carries human civilization, and spreads knowledge to people, and also promotes culture and records history; however, how to read more information in a limited time, that is, to improve reading efficiency, has become a problem to be solved by current technology. The purpose of this paper is to integrate the existing wearable device concept, combined with a wireless intelligent sensor system; design a wearable reading assistance system designed to facilitate the use of blind and partially sighted people, based on the study and comparison of existing text recognition products; improve their functions and implementation platform, combined with wireless network; and design a wearable device that can achieve foreign text recognition and reading cognitive state reading assistance thereby improving reading efficiency. This paper proposes a method to implement foreign text decoding under the embedded platform with relatively few resources and quickly completes image acquisition, binarization, and compressed storage through the bit and storage area and DMA (direct memory access) double buffering mechanism unique to the chip selected in this paper; proposes to use the connected boundary tracking algorithm to find foreign text locators, reducing a large number of floating-point operations; does not rotate the image, instead, the image is directly sampled at the current rotation angle, and then foreign text bitstream information is acquired to realize the decoding of foreign text under the embedded platform with relatively fewer resources.

Ukraine is a party to many international agreements. International bilateral agreements on social security are among them. These contracts, like any other, must be of good quality. The quality of international agreements is achieved through the use of legislative techniques. Legislative technique involves the correct use of terminology. This article analyzes, in particular, the provisions of the Agreement between Ukraine and the Portuguese Republic on Social Security of 7 July 2009 and the Agreement between Ukraine and the Kingdom of Spain on Social Security of 7 October 1996 and demonstrates incorrect use of terminology in their text. The text of these international bilateral agreements needs to be changed. Some of the conclusions: the language of the international agreement with the participation of Ukraine must comply with the principles of scientificity and publicity. Legal terminology should not be confused with commonly used terms. Terms of private international law are mandatory for use in international agreements involving Ukraine, the rules of which regulate private law relations with a foreign element. No need to use unnecessary words in the text of an international agreement. It is not always advisable to translate the foreign text of an international agreement literally. The text of an international agreement should not be confusing, superficial. It should be complete, comprehensive, and concise. Each norm must be completed and meet the objectives of the international agreement.

Statement of the problem. The article studies the problem of formation of students’ readiness for independent work when studying a foreign language. The article substantiates the necessity of using distance learning technologies for the effective organization of students’ independent work in foreign language classes. The article analyzes the work with a foreign text in the formation of students’ readiness for independent work through distance educational technologies. The purpose of the article is to identify methods and tools for step-by-step work on the text of a foreign language through distance educational technologies for the formation of students’ readiness for independent work. The methodology is based on the analysis and synthesis of the experience gained in science and practice of teaching a foreign language to students of various specializations. Research results. Based on the analysis of published scientific studies, the methods and tools of working with a text in a foreign language are identified. The choice of the methods and tools is determined by the purpose of the lesson, the type of text chosen for reading, and the stages of working with the text. A system of exercises for students’ independent work on the development of reading skills based on the electronic platform LMS Moodle is proposed. LMS Moodle has many tools for creating these exercises. One can select tools that correspond to the level of students’ training, the type of text and technical capabilities. Conclusion. The use of distance learning technologies in teaching a foreign language significantly increases the intensity of the educational process. It contributes to the formation of students’ readiness for independent work when learning a foreign language in general, and, in particular, when working with a text.

This study extends the popular notion that memory for text can be supported by song to foreign-language learning. Singing can be intrinsically motivating, attention focusing, and simply enjoyable for learners of all ages. The melodic and rhythmic context of song enhances recall of native text; however, there is limited evidence that these benefits extend to foreign text. The analysis of the active reception process, the interaction of “its own” and “alien” seems very fruitful in the study of the epoch-making Robert Musil’s novel “Man without qualities” (1930–1942). The analytical evaluation of the Austrian author’s contact with the “alienness” (in this case, with Russian literary classics) in the form of the discovery of “his own essence” is carried out at the micro-level of individual concepts, expressions, descriptions of characters, and explicit or implicit quotations. The intertextual level of reading the novel expands at the expense of the intercontextual level. Thus, the literary text is read from the foreign (Russian) reader’s cultural referential framework. This means an attempt to recognize the reader’s “own essence” in the “alienness” text, to reinterpret a foreign text, when, on the one hand, the “own essence”, i.e. in this case the work of the 19th century Russian novelists, is subjected to scrutiny in relation to its reception of the Austrian writer as “alien”. On the other hand, Musil’s novel is read through the lens of Russian cultural awareness, and included in the contextual framework of Russian reception, formed by Goncharov’s, Dostoevsky’s, and Leo Tolstoy’s works.

Abstract The present paper, practical methods of professional translation, discusses the most important methods to achieve an accurate effective translation from the source language text to the equivalent target language text. The present study suggests that practical translation like any literary activity is of six main stages that follow sequential order to achieve an accurate translation: (choosing the foreign text to be translated, the author of the text permission, the text translation, considering the title contextual meaning, reviewing the text translation, and finally finding a good publisher).

The article characterizes the need to use modern information and communication technologies in the work of future translators. The analysis of modern software tools that contribute to the automation and simplification of translation operations, the generalization of work with individual words and fragments of foreign text. The article reveals the peculiarities of the use of translation programs and electronic dictionaries in the training of future translators in the higher education system and their role in the thorough formation of translation competence in future professionals. The research reveals a number of advantages of using electronic translation tools in the work of a translator, defined as modern electronic software helps to select the most accurate equivalents of translation and lexical equivalents. Specialized software is a translator's assistant that automates basic actions, helps to structure and systematize translation activities. The main programs-translators are described. They give the opportunity to instantly translate a sentence or a fragment of text into many languages. Online dictionaries contain a large database of words. They are multilingual. But the final translation of a foreign text depends on the translation actions and transformations of a specialist, electronic software only automates general actions.

His paper gives reasons for efficiency of a propositional method for text analysis and text rendering. Cognitive processing of the text is based on operations of compression and decompression of the text meaning. The same cognitive mechanisms drive the process of forming propositional schema of the text. Micropropositions pull together to form macropropositions, the latter form the global proposition or the main idea of the text. The author proposes to apply the principles of the propositional approach to foreign text rendering.
