A Study of Possible Reasons of the Damage by Electric Current of Traction Induction Motors Bearings of Electric Trains Lastochka and the Ways to Prevent This

There is a problem of damage of bearings of traction induction motors of electric trains Lastochka by electric current. Based on the fact that the bearings have a ceramic insulation coating, and the cases of its electrical breakdown is not fixed, the authors put forward a version that a high-frequency current flows through the bearing as through an electric capacitance. The analysis show that the cause of the current can be a radio standard GSM-R. The proposed technical solution against the damage of bearings: the use of grounding shaft rings, replace the bearings on the other with ceramic rolling elements, arrangement of separate high-frequency grounding for the GSM-R antenna.

Research On the Effect of Reinforcing Filler on The Mechanical and Electrical Properties of Insulating Coated Silicone Rubber

This paper studies the silicone rubber insulation coating material used for the modification of overhead bare wires. The influence of two reinforcing fillers of silicone rubber on the density, mechanical properties and electrical properties of insulating coating materials was explored. Finally,25 copies of white carbon black were selected as a reinforcing filler to prepare a low-density, high-strength, and good insulating silicone insulating coating material.

The paper states that the diameter control in the cable industry is one of the fundamental factors in the final product quality. Such control takes place under the condition that data on the diameter of the electrical insulating sheath of the electric cable will be received continuously. It is possible to evaluate the surface quality of the cable insulation coating, to track thinning, thickening, and some other local surface defects when we receive and process data on the object of control in real time. Modern production facilities are focused on resource efficiency. It means that reducing the consumption of expensive cable materials (non-ferrous metals, alloys, glass, polymers) and insulating materials (plastic compounds, PVC, rubber, etc.) will be one of the main factors in setting up a production complex. The continuous control of the diameter has the ability to provide for such a factor, and also makes it possible to automate the adjustment of the diameter as well as the thickness of the insulation coating using the meter as a part of automatic control systems.
