In this study, the heat transport is scrutinized in the flow of magnetized Burgers fluid accelerated by stretching cylinder. Rather than, classical Fourier's and Fick's laws, the Cattaneo-Christov theory featuring the improved heat and mass conduction is utilized to investigate the energy transport. Further, the transport of thermal and solutal energy is controlled by the significant influence of heat generation/absorption and chemical reaction. The physical flow problem is modelled in the form of partial differential equations (PDEs) which are then transformed into the non-linear ordinary differential equations (ODEs) by invoking appropriate similarity variables. The numerical simulation to the system of ODE's is tackled by employing BVP-Midrich scheme in Maple. The numerical results for flow field, thermal and concentration distributions are exhibited graphically. The impact of fluid relaxation and retardation time parameters on the velocity field are observed in growing and decaying way, respectively. Both the thermal and solutal energy transport decline with higher values of retardation time parameter. The rise in Burgers fluid parameter enhances the transport of energy during the fluid motion. The effect of thermal and solutal relaxation time parameters on heat and mass transport in the fluid are noticed in the declining manner.

In this paper, we construct transient electro-osmotic flow of Burgers’ fluid with Caputo fractional derivative in a micro-channel, where the Poisson–Boltzmann equation described the potential electric field applied along the length of the microchannel. The analytical solution for the component of the velocity profile was obtained, first by applying the Laplace transform combined with the classical method of partial differential equations and, second by applying Laplace transform combined with the finite Fourier sine transform. The exact solution for the component of the temperature was obtained by applying Laplace transform and finite Fourier sine transform. Further, due to the complexity of the derived models of the governing equations for both velocity and temperature, the inverse Laplace transform was obtained with the aid of numerical inversion formula based on Stehfest's algorithms with the help of MATHCAD software. The graphical representations showing the effects of the time, retardation time, electro-kinetic width, and fractional parameters on the velocity of the fluid flow and the effects of time and fractional parameters on the temperature distribution in the micro-channel were presented and analyzed. The results show that the applied electric field, electro-osmotic force, electro-kinetic width, and relaxation time play a vital role on the velocity distribution in the micro-channel. The fractional parameters can be used to regulate both the velocity and temperature in the micro-channel. The study could be used in the design of various biomedical lab-on-chip devices, which could be useful for biomedical diagnosis and analysis.

In this study, an effort is made to model the thermal conduction and mass diffusion phenomena in perspective of Buongiorno’s model and Cattaneo-Christov theory for 2D flow of magnetized Burgers nanofluid due to stretching cylinder. Moreover, the impacts of Joule heating and heat source are also included to investigate the heat flow mechanism. Additionally, mass diffusion process in flow of nanofluid is examined by employing the influence of chemical reaction. Mathematical modelling of momentum, heat and mass diffusion equations is carried out in mathematical formulation section of the manuscript. Homotopy analysis method (HAM) in Wolfram Mathematica is utilized to analyze the effects of physical dimensionless constants on flow, temperature and solutal distributions of Burgers nanofluid. Graphical results are depicted and physically justified in results and discussion section. At the end of the manuscript the section of closing remarks is also included to highlight the main findings of this study. It is revealed that an escalation in thermal relaxation time constant leads to ascend the temperature curves of nanofluid. Additionally, depreciation is assessed in mass diffusion process due to escalating amount of thermophoretic force constant.

This article describes the features of bio-convection and motile microorganisms in magnetized Burgers’ nanoliquid flows by stretchable sheet. Theory of Cattaneo–Christov mass and heat diffusions is also discussed. The Buongiorno phenomenon for nanoliquid motion in a Burgers’ fluid is employed in view of the Cattaneo–Christov relation. The control structure of governing partial differential equations (PDEs) is changed into appropriate ordinary differential equations (ODEs) by suitable transformations. To get numerical results of nonlinear systems, the bvp4c solver provided in the commercial software MATLAB is employed. Numerical and graphical data for velocity, temperature, nanoparticles concentration and microorganism profiles are obtained by considering various estimations of prominent physical parameters. Our computations depict that the temperature field has direct relation with the thermal Biot number and Burgers’ fluid parameter. Here, temperature field is enhanced for growing estimations of thermal Biot number and Burgers’ fluid parameter.

This paper investigates the effect of magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) of an incompressible generalized burgers’ fluid including a gradient constant pressure and an exponentially accelerate plate where no slip hypothesis between the burgers’ fluid and an exponential plate is no longer valid. The constitutive relationship can establish of the fluid model process by fractional calculus, by using Laplace and Finite Fourier sine transforms. We obtain a solution for shear stress and velocity distribution. Furthermore, 3D figures are drawn to exhibit the effect of magneto hydrodynamic and different parameters for the velocity distribution.
