This chapter examined the input and output of WikiAfLibs training, the struggles, and lessons learned. The study used spidergram design of 5Ws and 1H (who, what, where, why, when, and how). Instruments used were online questionnaire and FGD. The participants were librarians in the #WikiAfLibs Cohort 1 drawn from Anglophone countries. It was discovered that live sessions, office hours, and learning resources were mostly favored among the activities (39% and 33%, respectively). Respondents used personal data subscriptions (75%) and received the training from their homes. Some have joined Wikipedia communities in their countries and have received funds. They struggled with cost of data subscription, fear of internet disruption, and not meeting the deadline of the assignments. They agreed that Wikipedia would give librarians more visibility, enrich services, and build partnerships. The findings imply that librarians' full embrace of Wikipedia will add value to information services. The study concluded that librarians should integrate Wikipedia in information service delivery.

This chapter examines climate change and variability emergency disaster risks on agricultural food security of the local communities in Africa with a focus on gender equality lens in Uganda. Ugandan women contribute up to 75% of domestic food production and yet they are often overburdened with reproduction, household management, gender-specific discrimination, and adverse climate change effects like agricultural droughts, flash flooding, violent windstorms, or water stress. To ensure sustainable food security in the face of climate change vulnerability risks, the role of women is vital. Communication strategy to promote local climate information service (CIS) delivery system has been developed by the local government district planners in the park areas, but there is a lack of capacity to raise public awareness of the gender equality for the empowerment of women and girls for sustainable food security through agriculture production in Uganda for enhanced livelihood assets.

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is one of the comorbid diseases commonly found on COVID-19 infected individuals and causing the most death. In the pandemic era, DM patients are needful to execute the care management by themselves due to the social restriction as a part of transmission control. This study aimed to assess the self-care behavior of DM patients during the COVID-19 pandemic era in Manggarai Regency who still carry out various traditional ceremonies even during the pandemic. This study was a quantitative descriptive study. The research data get by the SDSCA (The Summary of Self-Care Activities) questionnaire developed by the General Service Administration (GSA) Regulatory Information Service Center (RISC). This study attends from January to March 2021, with 88 respondents have participated after being recruited using purposive sampling and inclusion criteria. Among the 88 respondents, the respondents were most compliant with eating restrictions on sugar-contained food such as cake, chocolate, biscuit, and ice cream diet. Respondents did not restrict themself to consume carbohydrate contained foods. Self-care behavior is most important to DM patients in the pandemic era due to the social restrictions creating the hesitancy among the patients to come to the health care facilities. Moreover, when DM patients are more prone to develop severe symptoms of covid-19. Health professionals have to improve the health education to the patients by emphasizing the importance of exercise, diabetic foot care, and routine blood sugar monitoring so that the patients are not only focused on dietary management and medicine.

Research by developing an information system is a research that aims to produce and develop an information service system design in the form of website-based rooms lending using PHP as a programming language and MySQL as a database that will be used at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University in-room management as room loan, room loan schedule, room loan data, and room information. This study uses the waterfall development model, with 5 (five) stages of development including the stages of communication, planning, modelling, construction and deployment. This research used Alpha and Beta testing to 3 (three) media experts and 31 (thirty-one) users including 1 (one) admin and 30 (thirty) students. Data collection techniques using interview techniques, observation and dissemination of research instruments. With data analysis in the form of a feasibility test using a Likert scale instrument of 4 (four) assessment scores to media experts and respondents. The final product produced is a website for rooms loaning information system, by average score by media experts (Alpha Testing) of 71.6 with the "very feasible" category. The results of the feasibility test by users (Beta Testing) were 34.32 with the "very feasible" category. The new wave of interest in mobile workplaces is profoundly changing the internal ecology of Chinese companies and creating new stress for employees. To investigate the mechanisms of mobile workplace stress on employee innovative behavior and the role of work–family conflict and employee engagement, we collected 426 valid samples from married male employees in the software and information service industries. The results show that mobile workplace stress has a significant negative effect on employee innovative behavior. In contrast, it has a significant positive effect on work–family conflict and employee engagement. In addition, work–family conflict partially mediates the relationship between mobile workplace stress and employee innovative behavior; employee engagement produces the suppressing effects. The chain intermediary effect of work–family conflict and employee engagement between the mobile workplace and employee innovative behavior is present. When we focus on the high performance of the mobile workplace, we should also pay attention to its impact on the company’s ability for innovation.

Abstract Although scholars have investigated the intricacies of anti-Americanism, few have examined the factors that affected the abilities of minorities or colonized people to protest U.S. policies. This article compares and contrasts the responses of Chinese in the Philippines, Thailand, and Hong Kong to the May 24th Incident of 1957, when 25,000 Chinese attacked the U.S. embassy and ransacked the U.S. Information Service Office in Taipei, Taiwan, due to the acquittal of a U.S. soldier for killing a Chinese. While U.S. military and economic aid motivated recipients to rally behind the anti-Communist banner, geopolitics, domestic conditions, and anti-Chinese racism also played pivotal roles in determining whether the Chinese could voice or act upon their anti-American sentiment. The Philippines’ heavy dependence on U.S. military and economic aid, coupled with long-lasting anti-Chinese racism, limited the potential for Philippine Chinese to critique U.S. policies. By contrast, tenuous U.S.-Thai relations and domestic anti-Americanism emboldened Thai Chinese to lambaste U.S. military injustice. Although the largest U.S. aid recipient, Britain adhered to neutrality in its Cold War politics and permitted a vibrant cultural industry in Hong Kong, resulting in strong criticism of U.S. policies among the city’s Chinese.
