Abstract CORRAX is a precipitation-hardening (PH) stainless mold steel that may be used for many demanding applications. Its superior resistance to corrosion, combined with a hardness of up to 50 HRC, makes it well suited for molds making medical parts, all molds running in a clean-room environment, parts made of corrosive plastics (such as polyvinyl chloride, PVC), and molds for parts made of rubber. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and compressive strength as well as fracture toughness. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: SS-774. Producer or source: Uddeholm Tooling Svenska AB.
