Objective: To analyze the application effect of hierarchical group responsibility system of holistic nursing in Department of Gastroenterology. Methods: 655 patients in our hospital from August 2020 to January 2021 were selected as the research objects. They were randomly divided into experimental group (328 cases) and control group (327 cases) to explore nursing satisfaction, nursing quality score and clinical symptoms before and after nursing. Results: In the experimental group, 266 cases (81.10%) were very satisfied, 33 cases (10.06%) were satisfied and 29 cases (8.84%) were dissatisfied. The total number of satisfied cases (very satisfied + satisfied) was 299 cases (91.16%);In the control group, 167 cases (51.07%) were very satisfied, 63 cases (19.27%) were satisfied, 97 cases (29.66%) were dissatisfied, and 230 cases (70.34%) were satisfied. The nursing satisfaction of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group; The nursing quality score of the experimental group was (91.67 ± 0.66), and that of the control group was (71.66 ± 0.88), which was significantly higher than that of the control group; The clinical symptom score of the experimental group was (2.42 ± 0.32), and that of the control group was (4.66 ± 1.11), which was significantly better than that of the control group. Conclusion: The application of hierarchical group responsibility holistic nursing mode in gastroenterology department can not only improve the nursing satisfaction of patients, but also improve the quality of nursing, promote the good development of patients' condition, and provide a comfortable treatment environment for patients, which is worthy of clinical promotion.

Hazing is generally defined as any activity expected of someone joining or participating in a group that humiliates, degrades, abuses, or endangers them regardless of a person’s willingness to participate (Hoover, 1999) and has been documented among college students in groups ranging from athletics to marching bands to fraternities and sororities (Allen & Madden, 2008). This investigation examined attitudes and perceptions about hazing for students in a leadership development program compared to their peers. Both groups participated in an online hazing prevention education module and completed pre- and post-surveys. Data were analyzed using statistical two-tailed t-tests for analysis. Though the literature on hazing is highly suggestive of linkages between leadership development and hazing mitigation, it appears this may not be the case. Findings from this investigation revealed that leadership students at this institution responded less strongly against hazing when compared with their peers in the general student body.

The implementation of the pedagogical model has meant an increase in rigour and coherence in Physical Education (PE) classes. The objectives of the study were twofold; (a) to delimit the characteristics and elements that make up Attitudinal Style as a pedagogical model; (b) to analyze the perception of future teachers on the usefulness and transferability of the model in their classes. Twelve future PE teachers (seven women and five men) with an age of 20.14 ± 1.48 participated. All of them were part of the University of Burgos (Spain). A qualitative approach was used with two data collection instruments (reflective group journals and discussion group) and two categories of analysis were established: (a) usefulness in the construction of professional identity; (b) transferability of the Attitudinal Style in the school. The results showed how future PE teachers consider the model as a transcendental methodological tool in understanding and addressing PE at school. Interpersonal relationships in the classroom, student autonomy and group responsibility are highlighted as necessary aspects with high transferability to the school.

Team-based learning (TBL) is an innovative teacher-driven teaching method that uses a specific sequence of activities to foster individual and group responsibility in small groups of students that have been formed in order to answer questions and solve problems. TBL appears to have a number of benefits compared to conventional lecture-based teaching and traditional small group learning models. However, TBL has been modified in several ways for use in teaching within the curricula of medical schools. Research on the effects of TBL on the learning of students is still limited, and studies aimed at investigating whether the goals of TBL are achieved are rare. Medical schools that want to implement TBL in their curriculum and gain the benefits of TBL should ensure that those involved in the curricular process understand the essence of TBL. This review is primarily aimed at describing how dysfunctional TBL develops, and providing some suggestions regarding how to avoid it.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to investigate how trustees of small English registered charities understand and own the reporting and accounting requirements with which their charities must comply. Design/methodology/approach The research described is a multi-pronged qualitative and inductive study of three small Yorkshire charities as they approve their annual accounts. The case studies are based on observations of trustee meetings and interviews with a range of trustees and their independent examiner or auditor. The use of a practice lens focuses on the behaviours of individuals to understand the sense that they make of their charity’s accounts. Findings Trustees' understanding of their financial statements is limited; they tend to rely on key individuals who have knowledge. Group responsibility creates a shared way of understanding the financial statements. Treasurers and independent examiners simplify information for the trustees even resorting to corner cutting and rule bending. Narrative reporting is given very little attention. Trustees read their financial statements as a report to them not by them; accountability notwithstanding, thus ownership of their financial statements is conferred not intrinsic. Research limitations/implications The findings are drawn from three specific case studies and therefore cannot be generalised, but they offer rich qualitative insights into small charities’ accounting and reporting. Originality/value This research provides a unique multi-viewpoint analysis of charity practices, and through its use of a practice lens dives deeper into examining trustees’ understanding and behaviour.

This chapter examines six arguments in favour of the idea that combinations and coalitions are apt to bear duties. The first five arguments assert that combinations’ or coalitions’ duties are the best way to solve some problem: the problem of explaining individuals’ duties, of explaining intuitions about group responsibility, of capturing convictions, of distributing the duties correlative to human rights, or of avoiding overdemandingness. The sixth argument claims that some combinations or some coalitions are moral agents—and are, therefore, apt to bear duties by their very nature. Each of the six arguments is shown to be problematic. The result is a stalemate: we have no compelling arguments in favour of combinations’ and coalitions’ propensity to bear duties, yet we also have no arguments against that propensity.
