ABSTRACT Wildlife is all animals that still have wild characteristics that live on land, water or in the air, including wildlife who live freely or kept by humans. Referring to demographic data and an increase of agricultural land area in Kei Besar island during the last five years, it is predicted that there has been a reduction in the forest area that has been converted into residential areas and agricultural land. If this activity enters the Daab Mountain Nature Reserve  area it is predicted that wildlife habitat will also be disturbed (reduced), with the result that can affect the population and distribution of wildlife. This study aims to determine the species and distribution of wildlife in the vicinity of the Southern Daab MountainNature Reserve  The method used is Index Point of Aboundance (IPA) and Line transect. From The results of this study it can be seen that in the area around the Southern Mount Daab Nature Reserve, there is 41 species of wild animals that divided into six species of mammals, thirty-two species of birds (Aves), and three species of reptiles, also there are five species of endemic wildlife. The richness of wild species that live and breed in the area around the southern Mount Daab Nature Reserve is more in the west than in the east because habitat conditions are more favorable regarding the use of land by public.

Mangrove forests have many functions, one of which is a habitat for various water birds and birds. Birds make mangroves a habitat to find food, breed, or just rest. Birds that can be found in mangrove forests can be birds that live and nest in mangrove forests and birds that come from other habitats that only occasionally visit mangroves to find food or rest. The research method used is the Point Count method, where the observation technique is carried out at a point, and the observations are carried out over a certain period. The number of bird species recorded in the mangrove area of Passo Village was 11 species from 9 genera, seven families, and seven orders. The average number of individuals recorded during the research activity was 197 individuals. 72.73% of the composition of bird species in the mangrove area of Passo Village are waterbird species, including four orders from a total of 7 charges, and four families from a total of 7 families, and six genera from a total of 9 genera; while the other 27.27% are terrestrial bird species.

Endemic bird species have a high conservation value concentrated in a critical location for conservation with an exciting value in endemic bird species groups. The site of concentration of endemic bird species can be referred to as Endemic Bird Diversity Hotspot. There are seven bird diversity hotspot locations identified in the KPHP Wae Sapalewa region in North Seram, with a good bird species diversity, including endemic bird species. The study aimed to examine the variety and population of endemic bird species at seven hotspot locations within kphp Wae Sapalewa. The research method uses Point Count, which is placed in the transek. The results showed 121 species of birds, consisting of 9 species, namely: Basilornis corythaix, Cacatua moluccensis, Gymnophaps mada, Eos semilarvata, Lorius domicella, Halcyon lazuli, Rhipidura dedemi, Philemon subcorniculatus, and Myzomela blasii. Most endemic bird species have a low population density. This condition shows the need for conservation action for endemic bird species groups in these hotspot locations. KPHP Wae Sapalewa organization has the opportunity to take appropriate conservation actions to accelerate the existence of these endemic bird species.

This study analyzes the physical and chemical characteristics of eucalyptus oil products in the Ambon city market. Eucalyptus oil stamped Merpati Putih/MP to determine the quality grade of MP eucalyptus oil. The MP quality grade is based on the chemical component content level of 1,8-cineole. Furthermore, according to results of the testing on the physics properties of some parameters as required at SNI 3954-2014 about Eucalyptus (Cajuput) Oil standard, and the analysis of chemical components through GC-MS apparatus, the results shows that the MP Cajuput oil has the properties of physics that meet the required standards, among others: the specific gravity (BJ) of 0917, light green-colored towards clear, smelling as typical cajuput oil (original), the refractive indexes at ambient was about 1.469; there was no mixing with other oils (clear) and the absence of fatty oil with an optical rotation value at (-) 0, 33o, respectively. However, the results of the analysis of chemical components by GC-MS proved that the quality of the MP Cajuput oil at the first quality class was based on SNI 3954-2014 due to contains 1.8-cineole whose it value was within the standard ranges of 50 to < 55%, which is 52.51%

This study aimed to identify the factors that cause erosion, map erosion-prone areas, and determine conservation directions that can be carried out on regions indicated by erosion in the Wae Batu Merah watershed. In this study, erosion forming parameters will be overlapped. The USLE (Universal Soil Loss Equation) method was used as a parameter to create erosion. The results showed that erosion factors that greatly affected the erosion incidence in the Wae Batu Merah watershed, namely, slope factors and crop management factors and conservation measures, and as much as erosion were dominated by very large classes with an area of 558.21 ha or 52.67% alone. The smallest is the medium class, with an area of 54.57 ha or 5.15%. Conservation directives carried out on regions indicated by erosion in the Wae Batu Merah watershed were the direction of the vegetative method, which is reforestation, planting trees in the form of durian trees, and GMO sengon trees, making parks in residential areas, and building mechanical terraces.

This study aims to determine the application of agroforestry patterns and their contribution to the income of farmers in the village of Samuda, North Halmahera Regency. The research method used was a purposive sampling method, with 30 respondent farmers who had coconut-based agroforestry land. Data collection and analysis are done descriptively and quantitatively. The results showed that two patterns of agroforestry application, the Agrisilvikultur Tress Along with Borders pattern and the Agrisilvikultur Random Mixture pattern, we're able to make many ecological and economic contributions. From the ecological point of view, mixed agroforestry patterns can increase resistance to plant diseases, and economically, agroforestry patterns can increase farmers' average income. Completion of coconut-based agroforestry in the form of copra increased the average annual income of IDR 35,633,333.3/year and the average income from secondary crops by IDR. 1,249,637,500/year. While the average income from non-agroforestry products is IDR 34,550,000/year. Comparison of income and expenditure shows that the average income of farmers is greater than the expenditure, so the application of agroforestry patterns has a significant influence on the level of welfare of farmers in the study area.
