The article presents the theoretical and methodological principles of identifying the risks of implementing business technologies by business structures. Considering the risk as the ratio of the probability of a risk situation and its consequences, which leads to the deviation of actual results from the planned, proved the need to identify it taking into account not only risk events but also the causes, risk factors, probability and probability of occurrence and the consequences of the implementation of a risky event. A methodological approach is proposed, which provides not only risk identification, but also allows to coordinate the process of risk minimization, scalability and flexibility, cost reduction and takes into account not only the planned and projected values of business technology performance, but also the overall planned result of business structure. Since the process of identifying the risks of the introduction of the n-th business technology by the business structure is proposed to be considered as a set of certain sequential actions, respectively, it is logical to build an appropriate functional relationship, which includes research sources of risk situation; occurrence or change of a certain phenomenon or set of circumstances that cause a risky event; identification of risk factors that cause risk situations; the actual risk situation, which we consider as an event that is due to causes and risk factors that may lead to negative or positive consequences; consequences (result) of the risk situation in case of its implementation; the probability of a risk situation, i.e, a quantitative measure of the probability of an event and the vulnerability of the n-th business technology to the source of risk. Given the possible limits of the apparatus of probability theory, it is proposed to use the theory of Markov processes with discrete states and continuous time in determining the probability of reducing the effectiveness of n-th business technology due to the n-th risk situation, respectively, obtained a model for from state to state, taking into account which in modeling the effectiveness of the n-th business technology of business structures provides an expansion of tools for planning and forecasting risk situations.

The integrated business structures performance is underpinned by a wide range of external and internal factors that from a business unit perspective may have positive or negative implications for brand building. Moreover, in the context of business integration, the interaction among individual business units is of paramount importance that dramatically affects the performance of the entire business structure. The research objective is to provide a methodological framework for branding development through the calculation of integrated complementary and synergistic effects indicators, based on their compliance with the criteria of congruence and compatibility within architectonic elements of integrated business structures. The methodological toolkit design to estimate the integrated indices for complementary and synergistic effects involves the following stages: building a set of partial indicators for assessing complementary and synergetic effects, developing an algorithm to calculate an integrated index for complementary effect from internal and external brand interactions within integrated business structures (IBS), developing an algorithm to calculate an integrated index for a synergetic effect from brand integration within a business structure, individual business unit brand classification by different complementary and synergistic effects manifestations. The proposed methodological approach contributes to facilitating brand integration in mergers and acquisitions, as well as enhancing the allocation effectiveness of portfolio roles of integrated business structure brands in product offering in the integration framework.

The work deals with the methodological principles for creditworthiness assessment of the borrower, which serves as the basis for determining the bank credit risks and directions for improving the regulation. The authors took into account the off-balance sheet liabilities in order to improve the methodology of assessing the borrower's creditworthiness, which allowed to increase the accuracy of the bank's credit risk assessment and is the basis for effective management decisions on the credit approval. As a result of the analysis of methodological support for assessing the borrower's creditworthiness, the authors have proven the effect on the integral index and debtor class. These studies confirmed that their legal regulation is a prerequisite for the effective implementation of a new methodological approach to the creditworthiness assessment in banking institutions. The article defines three regulatory levels of the creditworthiness assessment of the borrower-legal entity (international, national and interbank) and directions for improving regulation at the national level, as well as at the domestic one.

In auditing, risk management involves identifying client facts or issues that may affect engagement risk, and planning evidence-gathering strategies accordingly. The purpose of this paper is to examine whether auditors' identification of risk factors and planning of audit tests is affected by decision aid orientation, i.e., a “negative” focus wherein client risk and its consequences are emphasized, or a “positive” focus where such factors are not emphasized. Specifically, we expect that auditors will identify more risk factors using a negatively oriented risk identification decision aid, but only when engagement risk is relatively high. We address this issue in the context of auditors' knowledge of actual clients, manipulating decision aid orientation as negative or positive in a matched-pair design. Results show that auditors using the negative decision aid orientation identify more risk factors than do those using a positive orientation, for their higher-risk clients. We also find that decisions to apply substantive tests are more directly linked to specific risk factors identified than to direct risk assessments. Further, our results show that auditors with repeat engagement experience with the client identify more risk factors. The findings of this study imply that audit firms may improve their risk management strategies through simple changes in the design of decision aids used to support audit planning.

Abstract The burden of disease landscape in Europe is currently scattered with experts from diverse professional backgrounds, ranging from experts in infectious diseases, non-communicable diseases, injuries and risk factors, to experts in more comprehensive national, regional and global burden of disease studies. Currently there is little interaction between these experts and existing burden of disease efforts. The European burden of disease network (burden-eu) COST Action aims to bring together expertise across different domains and professional backgrounds. During the course of the burden-eu COST Action, several steps will be taken to facilitate interaction between existing burden of disease efforts. First, a survey has been sent around to all members of the EU burden of disease network to map burden of disease studies that have been carried out in their country. Apart from general details about the year of the study and cause of disease categories, items of the survey included data sources, methodological approach and collaborations with institutes of other countries. In the first month, the survey has been completed for over 70 studies that have been carried out in twelve countries. Second, comparison of existing burden of disease initiatives allows for the identification of the various domains for which burden of disease has been assessed, highlight methodological differences as well as similarities, and facilitate improvements and harmonization of methods and approaches. Furthermore, the data collected from the survey will be included in a continuously updated burden of disease database that lists all past and current burden of disease activities. Lastly, burden-eu will facilitate regular meetings and workshops. Each of these steps will make it possible to move beyond the currently scattered burden of disease landscape and increase interaction between professionals and burden of disease efforts.

Combined with the actual characteristics of risk identification in electric power enterprises, a convolutional neural network model suitable for load sequence data prediction is determined. Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm is used to transform the convolutional neural network (convolutional neural network) to improve the global Optimization ability and convergence speed. Simulation results show that CNN can effectively extract sample information through its convolutional layer and pool layer. After particle swarm optimization, it also achieves good results in prediction accuracy and prediction speed. Secondly, classical interpretation combination model (ISM) is used to analyze the structure of the risk system of electric power enterprises, and the link relationship model of the risk of electric power enterprises is constructed. Through the structural analysis of risk and risk factors, the paper finds out the mutual influence relationship between risk and risk factors, and further finds out the risk chain and risk source. The classical explanatory structure model is extended to the fuzzy set, and then the influence intensity model of power enterprise risk is built. This model considers the influence of risk intensity when analyzing the risk relationship of electric power enterprises, and gives different risk link relations based on different impact intensity. Through comparative analysis, the relationship between the link relationship model and the influence intensity model of the risk of electric power enterprises is obtained. Put forward the sequence similarity matching algorithm based on adaptive search window (ADTW), average algorithm using Piecewise gathered (Piecewise Aggregate Approximation, PAA) strategy for sequence sampling sequence, low precision and low calculation precision sequence alignment of paths, and according to the change of gradient on the low precision of distance matrix forecast path deviation, expand the scope of limiting path search window; Then, the algorithm gradually improves the sequence accuracy, corrects the path in the search window, calculates the new search window, and finally realizes the fast solution of DTW distance and similarity alignment path.

The purpose of the article is to substantiate the theoretical and methodological approach to determining the key characteristics of the assessment of ecosystem assets of territorial communities related to water. The study considers the theoretical and methodological principles of assessing ecosystem assets for sustainable development of local communities. The initial methodological approaches of the accumulated world experience on the assessment of ecosystem services and ecosystem assets of local level territories in the context of three components (ecological, economic and social) in the context of water-related ecosystems are specified. An algorithm for estimating ecosystem assets is proposed. The key guidelines for assessing the ecosystem assets of territorial spatial entities based on European experience are revealed. The list of scientific recommendations for the assessment of water-related ecosystem assets to enhance the capacity of local communities and preserve and restore ecosystems is substantiated. The novelty of the study lies in the proposals for the implementation in Ukrainian practice of general approaches to the methodology of assessment of ecosystem assets and services, according to the recommendations of the international project of the European Commission “The Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity” (TEEB). The key Euro-benchmarks proposed by the author for the assessment of water-related ecosystem assets will help increase the investment attractiveness of spatial territorial formations and create preconditions for the development of a new economy on an ecosystem basis. Further research has prospects in the following areas: formation of a comprehensive strategic approach to the introduction of ecosystem asset valuation at the local level; development and introduction of effective methodological approaches to the assessment of ecosystem assets for the formation of investment attractiveness of the territory through the use of local natural resources, including water, as ecosystem assets of sustainable spatial development.

A multi-methodological approach was used to examine the personal and professional life of a well-respected, nonclinical, healthcare executive for purposes of determining if “Don” was a servant leader and, if so, uncover the antecedents contributing to his leadership style. The results provided the backdrop for examining linkages between servant leadership, reporting relationships, and business structures. Content analysis and Spears’ 10 constructs of servant leaders were used as a priori themes to affirm that Don is a servant leader. Nonparametric testing revealed moderate to strong associations between the reporting relationships of the respondents (x1) and the types of business structures (x2) where the respondents and our servant leader forged their initial relationship and the perceived behaviors and attributes of Don (y). We discovered that relationships, spiritual centeredness, and desire for career advancement served as antecedents in shaping Don’s leadership style. Implications for practice and future research are also addressed.
