Thematic art creation is a product of a complex social, historical, and cultural context, and it fills an important position in the development of modern and contemporary Chinese art history. Since the 21st century, with the introduction and implementation of a series of national major thematic art creation projects, thematic art creation has gradually moved from a marginal position in art history to a core area, becoming a visual narrative method with independent aesthetic value. Moving towards cultural consciousness and carrying cultural self-confidence, thematic art creation requires the guidance, standardization, and support of related art theories. The lack and absence of theoretical research restricts the development of thematic art creation. This study combs through the research results and literature materials of thematic art creation since the new century as well as studies the aesthetic education value of thematic art creation image narration.

This study aims to describe the values of character education contained in the short story "Ambe Masih Sakit" by Emil Amir. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subject of the research is the speech or dialogue that comes from the actors in the short story "Ambe Masih Sakit" by Emil Amir which was quoted from the Kompas newspaper published on March 2012. The data that was the target of the study were obtained using listening and note-taking techniques. The results of the study show that the values of character education include honesty, tolerance, discipline, hard work, independence, democracy, curiosity, friendly/communicative, social care, responsibility, and religion. This is evidenced by the speech or dialogue that describes the figure of a man named Upta who grows and develops in living his freedom in living together with other people. It is illustrated that Upta respects differences in religion, ethnicity, ethnicity, opinions, attitudes and actions of people who are different from himself. Upta is described as a man who works hard and is responsible for his family

This study aimed to find the meaning or value of moral education implied in tembang ilir-ilir lyrics of Sunan Wali Sanga's (12th century) and its meaning for society. The narrative of the lyrics is expressed in Javanese. The study was carried out by using a qualitative paradigm, which was pursued by a single embedded descriptive case study. Data were collected from document / archive sources or libraries. Data validity used triangulation of data. Data were analyzed using pragmatic analysis models. The findings showed that moral education value in tembang Ilir-ilir lyrics was related to one's faith and piety to God. Faith and piety starts from the moment humans are born until they die. The manifestation of one's faith and piety in tembang Ilir-ilir lyrics expressed the need to believe in the oneness of God, doing shalat, and perform amar ma'ruf nahi mungkar (acts of virtue and stay away from God's prohibitions). The impact on readers was that they can understand the meaning and improve the belief of need to approach oneself towards God by carrying out worship according to what has been directed. The novelty of this study was namely delivering of da'wah that carried out by Islamic religious leaders by conveying the chanting of tembang which makes listeners feel entertained and happy, so that the message conveyed feels easy to accept and is motivated to be implemented.

                                                                      Abstrak Wayang adalah salah satu jenis kebudayaan Indonesia yang sampai saat ini masih eksis karena didalamnya mengandung nilai-nilai positif dan memberikan tambahan wawasan pada setiap pertunjukan dari tokoh yang diperankannya, meskipun dalam rentang waktu dan perkembangan, Masih kurang minat masyarakat utamanya genarasi mudah mempelajari dan menghayati, mendalami seni wayang untuk dipertunjukan ke masyarakat, bahkan seni budaya pertunjukan tradisional wayang ini secara dinamis berkembang mengikuti kemajuan zaman dengan berbagai variasi pertunjukan . Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui nilai-nilai apa saja yang terkandung dalam setiap cerita pertunjukkan tradisional wayang. Metode penelitian menggunakan analisis kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan wawancara, studi pustaka, pengamatan langsung dan dokumentasi berupa data informan atau nara sumber yaitu Ki Hadi Sutoyo. Hasil penelitian menemukan terdapat nilai-nilai budaya yang terkandung dalam pertunjukkan tradisional wayang yaitu Nilai Religius, Nilai Pendidikan, Nilai Kebangsaan dan Nilai Kepemimpinan. Kata Kunci : Nilai Budaya, Wayang, Pertunjukan Explore Cultural Values Contained In Wayang Traditional Show Abstract Puppet is one of the Indonesian culture which still exists up to present because it reflects positive values and gives additional knowledge from the characters in its stage performances. From time to time, puppet traditional stage art dynamically changes depending on the actual contexts follows within. There is still a lack of interest from the community, especially the generation that is easy to learn and appreciate, deepening the art of wayang to be show to the public, even this traditional cultural art of wayang performance is dynamically developing following the times with various variation of performances. The data collection techniques are by interviews, literature reviews, direct observation, and documentations data the main source Ki Hadi Sutoyo. Result of the research finds out that the cultural values in the puppet traditional arts are religious value, education value, national value, and leadership value. Keywords: Cultural Values, Puppet, Show

The traditional culture of ethnic minorities embodies the spiritual pursuit of unique national value. It can be used as a valuable moral education resource and is of great significance to improve the effectiveness of moral education in colleges and universities in ethnic areas. At present, China has not paid enough attention to the development and utilization of moral education resources of the ethnic minority traditional culture, nor has it established and improved the relevant development and utilization mechanism. Taking the moral education spirit of the traditional Mongolian culture as an example, this paper analyzes its moral education value, points out the existing problems of moral education in colleges and universities in ethnic areas, as well as suggests strategies for the integration of moral education resources of ethnic minority traditional culture with the moral education in colleges and universities in ethnic areas.

Abstrak:Cerita rakyat merupakan salah satu dari sastra lisan yang ada di Nusantara. Cerita rakyat sperti karya sastra lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang terdapat dalam cerita rakyat Aria Tadung Wani Pewaris Pusaka Sakti dan Dua Badangsanak  dan Hantu Ni Bayur. Masalah yang diangkat dalam penelitian ini adalah nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter apa yang terdapat dalam dua cerita tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan metode deskripsif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa dalam cerita  Aria Tadung Wani Pewaris Pusaka Sakti mempunyai nilai pendidikan karakter jujur, kerja keras, bersahabat, cinta damai, peduli sosial, , dan tanggung jawab. Nilai pendidikan yang terdapat dalam cerita Dua Badangsanak dan Ni Bayur berisi nilai pendidikan  kerja keras, cinta damai,  kreatif, demokrasi, dan rasa ingin tahu.AbstractFolklore is one of oral literature that exists in Indonesian archipelago. Like any other literature, folklore has values in our life, including the value of character education. This study aims to describe the value of character education in the folklore entitled Aria Tadung Wani Pewaris Pusaka Sakti dan Dua Badangsanak dan Hantu Ni Bayur. The problem which is raised in this study is what kind of the value of character education in both stories. This study uses descriptive method by using qualitative approach. The result shows that the folklore entitled Aria Tadung Wani Pewaris Pusaka Sakti has the value of character education of Honest, hardworking, friendly, peace loving, socially responsible and responsibility The values of character education in the folklore entitled Dua Badangsanak dan Hantu Ni Bayur are hard worker, loving peace, creative, social care, and curiosity.

ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi: (1) nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang terdapat dalam petetah-petitih Sunan Gunung Jati; (2) pemanfaatan nilai pendidikan karakter dalam petatah-petitih Sunan Gunug Jati untuk menerbitkan dongeng dan fabel pembentuk karakter positif pada anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan sumber data berupa kumpulan petatah-petitih Sunan Gunung Jati. Terdapat 43 nasihat yang tertulis dalam buku Kesusastraan Cirebon karya Untung Rhardjo. Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang telah dilakukan, peneliti menarik simpulan bahwa (1) semua petatah-petitih Sunan Gunung Jati yang berjumlah 43 memiliki nilai pendidikan karakter yaitu, religius, jujur, toleransi, disiplin, kerja keras, kreatif, mandiri, demokratis, rasa ingin tahu, semangat kebangsaan, cinta tanah air, menghargai prestasi, bersahabat/komunikatif, cinta damai, gemar membaca, peduli lingkungan, peduli sosial, dan tanggung jawab. (2) Nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter dalam petatah-petitih Sunan Gunung Jati dapat dijadikan sebagai materi dalam buku pengayaan berupa kumpulan fabel sebagai pembentuk karakter positif untuk memperkaya imajinasi dan mengembangkan literasi peserta didik.KATA KUNCI: nilai pendidikan karakter; petatah-petitih. EXPLORATION CHARACTER EDUCATION VALUE IN PETATAH-PETITIH SUNAN GUNUNG JATI ABSTRACT: This research aims to explore: (1) the values of character education contained in the petetahs of Sunan Gunung Jati; (2) utilization of the value of character education in the quotes of Sunan Gunug Jati to publish fairy tales and fables that form positive character in children. This study used a qualitative descriptive method with the data source in the form of a collection of Sunan Gunung Jati slabs. There are 43 pieces of advice written in the book Kesusastraan Cirebon by Untung Rhardjo. Based on the results of the analysis that has been carried out, the researcher concludes that (1) all 43 pieces of Sunan Gunung Jati have character education values, namely, religious, honest, tolerance, discipline, hard work, creative, independent, democratic, curiosity, spirit of nationality, love of the country, respect for achievement, friendly/ communicative, love peace, love to read, care for the environment, care for social, and responsibility. (2) The values of character education in the quotes of Sunan Gunung Jati can be used as material in an enrichment book in the form of a collection of fables as positive character builders to enrich the imagination and develop literacy of students.KEYWORDS: character education value; petatah-petitih.

The Malays-Sambas expression is believed to have contributed to the Islamic basic education through an emphasis on a culture of shame expression that reflects the honor, reputation, and self-esteem of foreign cultures. The purpose of this study was to analyze the expression of Malay Sambas in improving the character education of Islamic primary students. The naturalistic phenomenological method was used to analyze the data of 6 students, 3 principals, and classroom teachers through in-depth interview sessions. The voices of participants with homogeneous characteristics of the Sambas Malay ethnicity were recorded and analyzed looking at the characteristics and implications, among others: 1) Exploration of the Sambas Malay; Suppan said, "a small wrong hand is set up" means respect, openness, gentle words, and the expression of the language of "tullah"(damned) to teach children, should not conflict with parents, teachers or parents. 2) The contribution of the Malay-Sambas language has significant character education value. Therefore, these findings contributed to schools in creating a model of local wisdom curriculum that aims to explore the richness of local values integrated into formulating the lives of a good millennial generation, so that they can maintain their values ​​while respecting globalization dominance.

Literature criticism could be used as media for connecting the reader and the literature. Stages done in literature criticism is started by interpretation, analysis, and evaluation. Based on interpreation, analysis, and evaluation, this rhyme use clear diction, so it’s become inappropriate for student. In addition, some Indonesian words such as   berak, kencing, cebok, and kentut are assumed as inappropriate words. Thus, this literature has low education value for young readers, like students. The use of inappropriate enjambemen also creates and produces unclear meaning in every line of literature.
