This research is dedicated to the role of different amounts of hexagonal BN (hBN: 0, 1.5, 3, and 4.5 wt%) on the pressureless sinterability of ZrB2–25 vol% SiC ceramics. Phenolic resin (5 wt%) with a carbon yield of ~40 % was incorporated as a binder to the powder mixtures and after initial cold pressing, the final sintering process was performed at 1900 °C for 100 min in a vacuum furnace. The as-sintered specimens were characterized by X-ray diffractometry, field emission scanning electron microscopy, and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. The results disclosed that the incorporation of 1.5 wt% hBN could increase the relative density to ~92%, while the sample with zero hBN content just reached ~81% of full densification. Appropriate hBN content not only facilitated the particle rearrangement during the cold pressing, but also removed the harmful oxide impurities during the final sintering. Nevertheless, the addition of higher amounts of hBN remarkably lessened the densification because of more delamination of the non-reacted hBN flakes and release and entrapment of more gaseous by-products induced by the reacted hBN phases.

Operation principle of high-pressure briquetter is introduced. According to the problems arised from real production in pilot named as comprehensive utilization of vanadium-titanium magnetite, countermeasures have been proposed to solve these problems. At the base of carrying out a series of reformations on the equipments and now the high-pressure briquetter can meet the requirements of industrial production.

The current development of derect reduction technology for rotary hearth furnace (RHF) is introduced. It is essential to stable and continuous operation of the RHF carrying out the following technologies: the cold-pressing technology, design of the charging machine and discharging machine of the RHF, temperature, pressure and atmosphere in the furnace, and the antioxidation of the metallized pellets. The current develop situation of these technologies are fully discussed.

The  main  objective  of  this  research  was  to  determine  the  amount of oil fish  were extracted from fish west resulted from butchering, cutting and splitting processes before salmon smoking by using cold  pressing `methods.  The  amount  and  the  characteristics  of  extracted  of  oil were  tested at Regional Centre for food and feed the USDA Agricultural Research Center laboratory. The  samples  were  used  from fresh Salmon  waste about 1000g from each of the (head, skin,  viscera,  backbone,  frames  and  cuts  off).  This waste recorded  more than  22%  of  the  total  mass  from  salmon  fish with used modern extract machine. in this experiment  the results  revealed  the  fresh  salmon  waste  have  more  than  16 %  of  oil  fish  per  one  kg  of  salmon  waste.  The oil weight from Salmon waste for (head, skin,  viscera,  backbone,  frames  and  cuts  off). was increased with pressing time increase as well as oil productivity increased.  The  optimum  conditions  at  pressing  time  was  200  min, for all salmon waste components .  Oil  productivity   fluctuated according to waste sources  was  190, 210, 86, 188, 178 and 90 g.oil/1000  g. by head, skin, off  cuts , terming, ,  viscera , and backbone frames,  Salmon  by-products,  oil  productivity  was ranged between 8.60 to 21.00%  at  constant  pressure. High contents of functional EPA (20:5 ω 3) and DHA (22:6 ω 3) for oil fish

Abstract Apples from trees treated in the field at 2-week intervals (9 foliar applications) with the synthetic pyrethroid insecticide fenvalerate (cyano(3-phenoxyphenyL)methyl 4-chloro-alpha-(1-methylethyl)- benzeneacetate) were processed into apple sauce, juice, pomace, and peels plus cores. Gas-liquid chromatographic analysis of the commodities for fenvalerate showed the sauce and juice to be essentially residue-free, the whole apples to contain about 0.4 ppm, and the pomace and peels plus cores to contain about 2 and 1.5 ppm, respectively. Agreement among 5 laboratories using modifications of the same basic method was good.
