Introduction: Based on the latest research, exercise had significant effect to decrease blood glucose. The aimed of this study was to investigate the effect of isometric exercise model on blood glucose in Diabetic Mice (Mus musculus).Methodes: This research was used a true experimental study with randomize post-test only control group design. The sample was male mice (Mus musculus) in 20-27 grams weight. 27 male mice were divided into three groups; the first group was normal group (control) that injected by NaCl as placebo, the second group was diabetic mice and the third group was diabetic mice with exercise. Both second group and third group were injected by streptozotocin (STZ) to induce Diabetes Mellitus. After 2x24 hours injected, all groups were given oral glucose (Dextrose-40% or D40). One hour after they given by D40, the third group was treated by isometric exercise used treadmill for 23.31 minutes with 21 cm/second speed and 0° elevation angle. Then the blood samples of all groups were taken to measure the blood glucose level. Data were analyzed by One Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, ANOVA test, and Least Significance Difference (LSD) with significance level of α<0.05.Result: The result of One Kolmogorov-Smirnov test showed that there was p=0.94 in normal group, p=0.50 in diabetic group, and p=0.19 in diabetic with exercise group. The result of ANOVA test was p=0.08. The result of LSD for blood glucose revealed was p=0.23 for diabetic group and diabetic with exercise group. The researcher had an assumption that probably it happened because of in second group there were two mice that had normal blood glucose levels and in the third group the initial blood glucose levels were unknown, hence they probably could had normal blood glucose levels too. Discussion: It can be concluded that there is no effect of isometric exercise to decrease blood glucose. Further research should investigate more about the frequency and intensity of isometric exercise that could has effect to decrease blood glucose.

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disorder caused by lack of insulin which islet cells of Langerhans in the pancreas were damaged or decreased. DM treatment is quite expensive so it takes the alternative medicine. Ones of alternative medicine using Mangosteen Fruit pod. The pod of the mangosteen fruit have xanton flavonoid compounds, which function as antioxidants that can lower blood glucose levels and improve pancreatic cells. The study aimed to determine the effect of mangosteen rind extract (Garcinia mangostana L.) to display the pancreatic histology of mice (Mus musculus L. Swiss Webster) induced male sucrose. This study used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 5 replications. treatments is P1 (positive control), sucrose 0.8 g/kg (negative control / P2), sucrose + 200 mg/kg of mangosteen peel extract (P3), sucrose + 400 g/kg of mangosteen peel extract ( P4), sucrose + 600 mg/kg of mangosteen peel extract (P5). Observations quantitatively to determine blood glucose levels and the number of Langerhans islet cells after 5 days and 4 days inducing the extract. Data were analyzed by ANOVA, if there is a difference will be continued with Duncan test at the 0.05 significance level. The results showed the average number of Langerhans islet cells 205.6 (P1), 134.0 cells (P2), 114.2 cells (P3), 193.0 cell (P4), and 181.8 cells (P5). From the results obtained in the analysis of data obtained Fhitung<Ftabel significant at 0.05, so it can be concluded that the mangosteen rind extract has no effect on pancreatic histological induced male mice sucrose.

A study on the effect of cherry leaf infusion (Muntingia calabura L.) on glucose levels of male white mice (Mus musculus) given glucose load. This study aims to see the effect of cherry leaf infusion (Muntingia calabura L.) to blood glucose levels of male white mice (Mus musculus) given glucose load as much as 0.65ml / 20gBB. This research used Oral Glucose Tolerance Test (TTGO) method. Animal experiments were divided into 6 groups. The negative control group was given only aquadest, the positive group was given metformin with the dosage of 1.3mg / 20gBB, the comparison group was given 0.65ml / 20gBB glucose solution, the treatment group was given cesen leaves infusion (Muntingia calabura L.) with concentration 5, 10 and 20 %. After each test animal was given 30 minutes treatment then given glucose 0.65ml / 20gBB orally. Then measured blood glucose levels of mice at minute 30-180. Based on the results of testing the infusion of kersen leaf (Muntingia calabura L.) showed that the concentrations of 5, 10 and 20% had decreased levels of white mice blood glucose (Mus musculus) with normal control. However, the results of the two-way ANOVA assay continued with the Post Hoc Tukey test showed that the concentration of 20% differed significantly with the concentrations of 5 and 10%. And the results obtained also indicate that the duration of administration may affect the decrease in blood glucose levels of mice (p <0.05).
