Abstract In order to establish a comprehensive exergy consumption evaluation system for crude oil pipeline transportation system, this paper proposed the definition and calculation method of unavoidable exergy loss based on the exergy analysis method and basic process of pipeline transportation. Then combined with the exergy flow classification, the exergy consumption index set was established and selected with correlation coefficient method. Furthermore, the exergy consumption evaluation index system was established including four hierarchies of object, intensity, efficiency and target using analytic hierarchy process and the weight of each part was calculated. Finally by means of all the exergy consumption indexes, the status of using energy was analyzed and evaluated. The analysis results showed that optimizing the transportation amount and temperature, energy efficiency could be improved. The evaluation system of exergy consumption established in this paper could improve operation efficiency and reduce energy consumption.

The authors of the article have developed the computer application allows to determine the value of the friction coefficient λ and anti-turbulent additives efficiency with a high degree of accuracy. The program can be used in the calculations and design of oil pipelines. The paper presents experimental studies of the effect anti-turbulent additives on the magnitude of pressure losses during fluid movement through pipes. The data gained by the developed computer program has been proved by the data of practical application of additives in the real oil pipeline transportation system called Eastern Siberia-Pacific Ocean oil pipeline.

A concrete placing boom is the final element of concrete mixture pipeline transportation system. It is designed to deliver the concrete mixture for discharging where and when required, therefore, similar to cranes, it must be equipped with at least two mechanisms: boom extension and rotation. The mechanisms can be both manually and hydraulically actuated, hence, booms are differentiated between mechanical (manually controlled) and hydraulically or electrically controlled. This article aims at describing the areas for using various categories of concrete placing booms.
