The current study aims at investigating the effectiveness of using infographics as an approach to teach the programming fundamentals on developing analytical thinking skills for high school students in the city of Makkah in Saudi Arabia. The study is based on the two-group quasi-experimental design. Participants were 64 girls at the 1st secondary school in Makkah. They were divided into an experimental group comprising of 32 students and a control group comprising also of 32 students. The programming unit was taught to the experimental group using the educational infographics strategy while the control group was taught using the traditional way of instruction. The researcher designed the lessons of the unit based on an infographics form. She designed the analytical thinking test to measure several of the analytical thinking skills. The researcher also used the following statistical methods: t-test for independent samples, Black’s Gain Ratio to measure effectiveness. The study results pointed out the effectiveness of using infographics strategy as an approach to teach the programming fundamentals on developing analytical thinking skills.

High-level thinking skills are incredibly required to face the challenges in the 21st-century era. One of it skill is to think analytically or people commonly call it analytical thinking. Analytical thinking skills can be trained to the students with an effective learning model. This study aims to describe the enhancement of the analytical thinking skills of high school students on the learning of excretory system materials with quantum learning model. The subject in this study students grade XI in SMA Negeri 1 Boja, and MA Al-Asror which each of 2 classes of treatment. This research design is a quasi-experimental, with non-equivalent design pretest-posttest. Documentation, tests, questionnaires, and interviews are used as data collection techniques. The enhancement of students' analytical thinking skills on learning of excretory system materials with quantum learning model as primary data was analyzed with N-gain. The result of data analysis showed an increase of average analytical thinking skills of N-gain in both treatment class of MA Al-Asror of 0,53 with the medium category and in both treatment class of SMA Negeri 1 Boja equal to 0,79 with the high category. The secondary data result the average percentage of student activity in MA Al-Asror 79% and SMA Negeri 1 Boja 81,1%, both percentages are classified into a nice category. The analysis students questionnaire assessment in MA Al-Asror is 81% with effective category and SMA Negeri 1 Boja is 82% with the very effective category. The result of the analysis of teacher questionnaire assessment in MA Al-Asror is 75% with effective category and SMA Negeri 1 Boja is 97,5% with the very effective category. Interviews with students and teachers being presented by descriptive. Analytical thinking skills covering of identifying, distinguishing, and linking cause and effect is increased in learning of excretory system material with quantum learning model.

In 21st century learning, critical thinking skills are the main choice that must be mastered by students. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of local wisdom-based science teaching materials in improving junior high school students’ critical thinking skills. Most science teachers still apply teacher-centered learning, so students tend to be passive. This type of research is quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest control group design. The study was conducted in the even semester of the 2019/2020 school year. The subjects of the research were grade VII students. Data collection techniques and instruments in the form of tests that include indicators of critical thinking skills. Data analysis used homogeneity test, Kolmogorov Smirnov normality test, independent sample t-test, and n-gain score. The results of the independent sample t-test are sig. (2-tailed) = 0,000<sig. α = 0.05. Students’ critical thinking skills in the experimental class were higher (N-gain score = 39.09%) than in the control class (N-gain score = 12.03%). Based on the study results, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence on the application of local wisdom-based teaching materials in improving the critical thinking skills of middle school students in the moderate category.

The Development of the Blended Web Mobile Learning Model with the MoLearn Application to Improve High School Students’ Higher Order Thinking Skills Abstract This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of high school students based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) through the culture of learning with a blended learning approach by applying the Blended Web Mobile Learning (BWML) model and the MoLearn application. This research is a development research that refers to the Generic Design Research Model (GDRM) from Plomp and Nieveen. For the development of the MoLearn application, the Waterfall Model System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method was used in this study. This study involved 205 students as research subjects. The research data were collected using a model validation sheet instrument, student response questionnaires, and student HOTs tests. The research was analyzed descriptively using the reliability equation and n-gain. The results showed that (1) the BWML model with the MoLearn application was declared valid and reliable based on the content and content review, in addition, based on the results of the responses of 205 students to the BWML model learning with the MoLearn application, 83% of the students were stated to be enthusiastic about participating in the learning; and (2) the increase in students' HOTs was stated to be increasing (mean n-gain = 0.46) in the medium category. The results of this study conclude that the Blended Web Mobile Learning (BWML) model with the MoLearn application is valid, practical, and effective for improving high school students’ higher order thinking skills.

The main objective of this research is to produce junior high school Physics teaching materials oriented to a simple practical tool that can be used to foster junior high school students 'creative thinking skills, with the specific aim of knowing the indicators of junior high school students' creative thinking skills that can be grown through the use of a guided inquiry learning model assisted by a simple practicum tool. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research with the design of Equivalent Pretest-Posttest Design (Design of Prates-Pascates Equivalent). This research was conducted at the Labschool Junior High School of Tadulako University where  the class VIII students being the research subjects. The research instrument used was an essay test and observation sheet. The data analysis technique used was quantitative data analyzed by inferential statistics, calculating the significance of the differences in the average of both groups of samples and qualitative data analyzed by using the stages of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results showed that a guided inquiry learning model assisted by a simple practicum tool could foster the creative thinking skills of the students of Labschool UNTAD Junior High School in the indicators of flexible thinking, fluent thinking and originality.
