Abstract The aim of this work is to carry out the design of experiments that determine the influence of the welding parameters using Taguchi’s method on the grain size, HAZ, and the degree of dilution in 6063-T5 alloy. The welding process used is GMAW and the welding parameters are power, welding speed and bevel spacing. The study of the influence of the welding parameters on the measurements made in the welding (which are the size of heat affected zone, the degree of dilution, and the grain size) allows one to determine the quality of the joint . In addition, the welding parameter most influential in minimising the three measurements will be determined.

In the article is shown the comparative analysis between structures of surfaced by the flux coded wire metal systems Fe-C-Si-Mn-Cr-Ni-Mo-V and Fe-C-Si-Mn-Ni-Mo-W-V. These powder wires are supposed to be used in recovering details and equipment components and machines, that works in conditions of intensive abrasive – shock wear. Manufacturing and surfacing of flux cored wires samples were made in laboratory conditions. Defined chemical composition of the surfaced metal. Deposited metal samples hardness and wear resistance were researched. In the course of deposited meta surface metallographic analysis were made following metallographic researches: defined nature and level of nonmetallic oxides impurity, type and morphology of the microstructure, grain size of surfaced samples. Estimation of the chemical composition components influence on the hardness and wear resistance were obtained.

The preparation of a silver bromide emulsion in the form of baseless sheets and their use in thick homogeneous stacks are described. In these sheets, a suitable development brings out minimum ionization tracks with a grain diameter 0.1 to 0.2 μ, and a linear grain density of 15 per 100 μ. The sequence of observations which led to the positive identification of minimum tracks is discussed. Short recoils and delta rays are visible, and excellent discrimination is available at all ionizing powers. The influence of grain size on fog is analyzed.Several cosmic ray phenomena containing minimum tracks are presented: single tracks, hard showers, πμe events, and an electron pair. Distortion is very small, and it is shown that the small grain size renders feasible better scattering measurements on higher energy particles. With this emulsion, nearly every possible measurement should become feasible with greater accuracy.

We studied the influence of the mixing on the properties of CdS powders obtained by Chemical Bath Deposition. The powders were obtained from baths containing cadmium chloride, thiourea, and ammonia. The obtained powders were characterized using FT-IR, in order to evaluate the purity of the obtained powder. Granulometric studies were made in order to establish the grain size distribution of the particles, and X ray diffraction in order to determine the structure of nanostructured CdS.

Discover problems of welds is not so easy from time to time. Specially, If welding was made in rough environmental conditions such as high temperature, humidity and dusty wind. It is necessary to provide good conditions to realize basic step of welding. For welding, have been used welding procedures specification and procedure qualification record. However, difficult conditions, documentations rightness or human errors are always here. Common weld defects like cracks, porosity, lack of penetration and distortion can compromise the strength of the base metal, as well as the integrity of the weld. According of site inspection, there were suspicion of intercrystalline corrosion, inclusions, leaker or segregation in root of weld, root weld stretches to the pipe inside, the welded pipes are not in axially level, the not proper surface treatment after welding and keep the intervals between single welds to not overheat the pipes.
