This is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The research subjects are 3 students of class XI.1 Natural Science in Public Islamic Senior High School (MAN) 1 Padang. They are different in terms of their mathematics ability; low, medium, and high. The data are collected by documentation, test method, and deep interview method. The data analyzed were the data of mathematical literacy skills test result and interview result. Mathematical literacy skills analysis by using PISA indicator revealed that student with low mathematics ability (S1) is at level 2 of mathematical literacy skills, Student with medium mathematics ability (S2) is at level 3 of mathematical literacy skills. This is due to the student ability to fulfill all indicators of questions at level 1, 2, and 3. Next, the student with a high mathematics ability (S3) is at level 5 of mathematical literacy skills since the student is able to fulfill the literacy indicator at level 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. However, at level 6, S3 find it difficult to analyze the questions.

AbstrakLiterasi matematika merupakan salah satu tujuan pembelajaran matematika sehingga perlu termuat dalam buku teks matematika sebagai sumber utama belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil analisis soal-soal pada buku teks pelajaran matematika SMP kelas VII semester II kurikulum 2013 ditinjau dari literasi matematika. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik pengkodean, dan teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 408 soal yang dianalisis, terdapat 49,26% soal serupa dengan soal-soal pada PISA. Proporsi konteks didominasi oleh konteks umum dengan persentase 42,29%. Aspek proses didominasi oleh proses menggunakan konsep, fakta, prosedur, dan penalaran dengan persentase 66,17%. Selanjutnya, Level kompetensi matematika PISA didominasi oleh level 2 dengan persentase 52,74% dan level 1 dengan persentase 39,80%. Kurang dari 10% untuk level 3 sampai 6. Hal tersebut berarti bahwa soal-soal pada buku teks hanya mampu melatih peserta didik di level 2 kompetensi matematika PISA. Diperlukan sumber belajar lainnya yang dapat melengkapi kekurangan tersebut. Analysis of Mathematics Textbooks for Middle School based on Mathematics LiteracyAbstractMathematical literacy skills are one of the goals of learning mathematics, so that mathematical literacy needs to be included in mathematics textbooks as the main source of learning. The purposed study is to describe mathematical literacy in the items of a question in the 7th second-semester mathematic textbooks. This study was descriptive research. Data were collected through coding techniques. The reliability coefficient of the data is 0, 909. The results indicate that of the 408 items question, there is 49.26% that were similar to the questions on PISA. The dominant aspect of context is the societal context by 42.29%. The dominated process aspect is mathematical concepts, facts, procedures, and reasoning by 66.17%. Furthermore, the dominated PISA's mathematics competency level is level 2 by 52.74% and level 1 by 39.80%. Less than 10% for levels 3 to 6. This means that the questions in the textbook are only able to train students in level 2 PISA mathematics competence. Other learning resources are needed that can complement these shortcomings

AbstrakPenelitian ini dilakukan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menggambarkan kemampuan literasi matematika mahasiswa calon guru matematika Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Siliwangi Negeri berdasarkan kemampuan matematika. Untuk mengetahui kemampuan literasi matematik mahasiswa berdasarkan kemampuan matematika terlebih dahulu dilakukan pengelompokan kemampuan matematik mahasiswa yaitu tingkat kemampuan matematika rendah, sedang dan tinggi. Masing-masing pada tingkatan tersebut dipilih 1 orang untuk dijadikan sebagai subjek penelitian, sehingga terpilih 3 mahasiswa yang dijadikan sebagai subjek penelitian., yaitu M1 (mahasiswa berkemampuan tinggi), M2 (mahasiswa berkemampuan sedang), M3 (mahasiswa berkemampuan rendah). Semua subjek penelitian diberikan soal tes kemampuan literasi matematik kemudian dilanjutkan dengan wawancara untuk mengetahui sudah sampai level berapa dan pada indikator mana kemampuan literasi matematik yang telah mereka capai. Berdasarkan analisis yang telah dilaksanakan M1 berada pada level 4 kemampuan literasi matematik, M2 berada pada level 3 kemampuan literasi matematik, dan M3 berada pada level 2 kemampuan literasi matematik. AbstractThis study was conducted to describe and illustrate the mathematical literacy skills student teachers of mathematics the Faculty of Education University of Siliwangi State based math skills. To determine the ability of students based on the mathematical literacy mathematical ability grouping first performed mathematical ability of students is the level of mathematical ability is low, medium and high. Respectively at the level of the selected one person to serve as a research subject, so that the selected three students who serve as research subjects., The M1 (high-ability students), M2 (student-capable medium), M3 (low-ability students). All the study subjects given about mathematical literacy skills test is then followed by an interview to determine what level is already up and on which indicators mathematical literacy skills they have achieved. Based on the analysis performed at the level M1 4 mathematical literacy skills, M2 is at level 3 mathematical literacy skills, and M3 are at level 2 mathematics literacy skills.

PISA research on Space and Shape content in the test consists of problems of space and shape, changes in relationships, numbers and probabilities. This study aims to identify the mathematical literacy skills of grade IX junior high school students in solving PISA questions with the content of  Space and Shape. The subjects in this study were students of class IX A SMP Negeri 5 Kepanjen with an average age of 15 years. This type of research in this research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data collection conducted in this study is a test method and interview method. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, it was found that only 2 students or 8.3% of students who had mathematical literacy skills were able to reach level 5.

The study aims to identify kinds of high school students’ misrepresent in doing their tasks and to provide the appropriate scaffolding as a solution to help the students. This is a qualitative descriptive research. The research subject consists of three junior high school students who have different abilities in Mathematics. They were selected out of 92 students. This research studied the conceptual errors, procedural mistakes, and students’ technical mistakes in working on the problems based on the stages of Kastolan mistakes and the scaffoldings given. Furthermore, the data were collected by using the way of testing, interviewing and documenting techniques. The research data were guarantee validated with the triangulation method. The result of the research showed that there were some errors done by the students in doing the tasks. They were the conceptual errors, procedural mistakes, and technical errors. The scaffoldings given to help the students do the tasks for Level 1 (environmental provisions), Level 2 (explaining, reviewing dan restructuring), and Level 3 (developing conceptual thinking).

This study aims to determine the level of creative thinking of students in solving math problems. This type of research is a verification qualitative research. The research subjects were eight people, the first grade students of Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh UIN. Subject selection was made based on the Matching Familiar Figure Test (MFFT), namely four reflective students and four impulsive students. The research data were obtained from the research subjects' written answers, namely the mathematics creative thinking test (TBKM) and the results of the interview. To test the credibility of the data the researcher triangulated. In this study, the triangulation used was the method triangulation by comparing TBKM and interviews. Students' creative thinking skills can be seen based on the achievement of mathematical creative thinking indicators. The results of the study are as follows, the reflective subject's creative thinking level 1 on compound interest calculation material is level 4, which meets four indicators of fluency, novelty, flexibility, and elaboration, the creative thinking level of reflective subject 1 on the straight-line equation related to supply and demand functions is the level 3 namely meeting the three indicators of fluency, flexibility, and elaboration. The reflective subject's creative thinking level 2 on compound interest calculation material is level 3, which is fulfilling three indicators of fluency, flexibility, and elaboration, the reflective subject's creative thinking level 2 on the straight-line equation related to supply and demand functions is level 4, which meets four indicators of fluency, novelty , flexibility and elaboration. The level of reflective subject creative thinking 3 on compound interest calculation material is level 3, which is fulfilling three indicators of fluency, novelty, and elaboration, the level of creative thinking reflective subject 3 on the material of straight-line equations related to supply and demand functions is level 1 namely meeting two indicators of fluency and elaboration. The reflexive subject's creative thinking level 4 on compounded calculation material is level 4, which is fulfilling four indicators of fluency, novelty, flexibility, and elaboration, the reflective subject's creative thinking level 4 on the straight-line equation material related to supply and demand functions is level 4, which is meeting four indicators fluency, novelty, flexibility and elaboration. The level of creative thinking of the subjects Impulsive 1, Impulsive 2, and Impulsive 4 on the compound interest calculation material and on the straight line equation material is level 1 which satisfies two indicators of fluency and elaboration. The level of creative thinking of the impulsive subject 3 on the compound interest calculation material and on the straight line equation material is level 3 which is to fulfill three indicators of fluency, flexibility, and elaboration.

AbstrakPada zaman sekarang, pembelajaran semakin menigkat. Begitu pula pada pelajaran matematika. Siswa lebih dituntut untuk bukan hanya sekadar mampu berhitung saja, tapi mampu mengaplikasikannya dalam memecahkan masalah dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemapuan literasi matematis siswa SMP kelas VIII di Kp. Panawuan Rt.02/Rw.10. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan adalah deskriftif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 4 orang yang diambil secara acak. Berdasarkan hasill penelitian, meskipun soal yang diberikan adalah soal-soal standar atau rutin dan tergolong mudah karena mengambil level 1 dan 2. Seluruh subjek penelitiannya merasa kewalahan dan kesulitan dalam menafsirkan dan mengaplikasikan rumus yang sudah mereka ketahui dalam menyelesaikan masalah yang diberikan. Simpulan yang dapat diambil adalah kemampuan literasi matematis siswa dalam penelitian ini masih terbilang rendah karena siswa masih merasa kesulitan dalam menghadapi soal PISA dengan level 1 dan 2. AbstractIn this day and age, learning is increasing. Likewise in math lessons. Students are more required to not only be able to count, but also be able to apply it in solving problems in everyday life. This study aims to analyze the mathematical literacy skills of the VIII grade junior high school students at Kp. Panawuan Rt.02 / Rw. 10. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The research subjects consisted of 4 people who were taken randomly. Based on the research results, although the questions given are standard or routine and are relatively easy because they take levels 1 and 2. All research subjects feel overwhelmed and have difficulty in interpreting and applying the formulas they already know in solving the problems given. The conclusion that can be drawn is that students' mathematical literacy skills in this study are still low because students still find it difficult to face PISA questions with levels 1 and 2.

The ability to solve mathematical problems can be obtained by the students if they have one of the affective abilities, namely self-efficacy. This study aims to describe student’s ability to solve PISA questions in terms of student's self-efficacy. Type of this study is descriptive-quantitative. The study was conducted in class VIII-G of SMPN 2 Gresik as many as 32 students in 2018/2019 academic year. The method used in this study is the questionnaire method and test method. The questionnaire method was used to knowing the category of self-efficacy obtained by students. While the test method is used to describe the ability of students to solve PISA questions. Based on the results of the data analysis test, it can be concluded that in the class VIII-G of SMPN 2 Gresik there were 28% of subjects having very high self-efficacy, 31% with high category, 38% with medium category, and 3% with low category. The percentage of subjects in class VIII-G in solving PISA questions based on their level, there were 22,6% at level 1, 22,6% at level 2, 21,7% at level 3, 15,6% at level 4, 7,5% at level 5 and 10,1% at level 6.

This study aims to describe the creative thinking abilities of students based on their level of creative thinking in solving math problems in the context of covid 19. Data collection was carried out by providing a test for solving mathematics problems in the context of Covid 19. Data analysis techniques were data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data analysis is to see how the student is solving problems with what ideas can be given. The research subjects were four students with different levels of creative thinking, then interviewed how the students completed these problems. The results showed that the subject at level 0 (not creative) only gave one answer and one way of solving the problem. Subjects with creative thinking level 1 (less creative), able to produce two different answers, and able to present data in two ways of presenting data, but only one is correct. Then the subject with level 2 (creative enough), can give one answer correctly and two ways of presenting the data correctly. While the subject with level 3 (creative) thinking can produce two different answers correctly and two ways of presenting data correctly.

Purpose done research to know how mathematical communication ability of student either in writing or orally.The type of this research is descriptive research with qualitative approach. The subjects of the research are S-1 students of Mathematics Education Department of UNIPA Surabaya who are taking angle geometry courses that have good mathematical communication ability, good enough and less good that has been predicted by mathematics teacher in that class. Methods of data collection used were observations during learning, tests and in-depth interviews. Research instruments are diagnostic tests and interview guidelines. Data analysis in this research is descriptive qualitative analysis. The data analyzed are observational data during the learning, test results and in-depth interviews that are used to describe students' mathematical communication abilities in writing and orally. The results obtained from this study among others. The result of the analysis of students who have the ability of mathematical communication as a whole found that 28.65% are at level 4, where students are able to use math language (term, symbol, sign, and or representation) which is very effective, accurate and comprehensive. Furthermore, 21.87% of students are at level 3, where students are able to use math language (terms, symbols, signs, and or representations) that are less effective but accurate. So also students who have the ability of mathematical communication at level 2 is 19.78%. Where at level 2 students are able to use math language (terms, symbols, signs, and or representations) that are less effective. Furthermore 25% of students are at level 1, where students in using mathematics language (term, symbol, sign, and or representation) are inaccurate and ineffective. At level 0 where the student does not give answer as much as 4.67%. Keywords: analysis of mathematical communication skills, angular geometry

AbstrakTuntutan kemampuan siswa dalam matematika tidak sekedar memiliki kemampuan berhitung saja, akan tetapi mampu menggunakannya dalam pemecahan masalah sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan literasi matematis siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Kediri. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 6 siswa dari 26 total siswa dalam 1 kelas. Penelitian ini memperhatikan faktor kemampuan awal matematis siswa (KAM). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, 19% siswa tergolong kategori KAM tinggi dapat menyelesaikan soal rutin, menginterpretasikan masalah dan menyelesaikannya dengan rumus, melaksanakan prosedur dengan baik, mampu untuk mengatasi situasi yang kompleks serta menggunakan penalarannya dalam menyelesaikan masalah, serta siswa mampu bekerja secara efektif serta menginterpretasikan representasi yang berbeda kemudian menghubungkannya dengan dunia nyata (Level 4).Siswa yang tergolong kategori KAM sedang (66%)dapat menyelesaikan soal rutin, menginterpretasikan masalah dan menyelesaikannya dengan rumus, serta melaksanakan prosedur dengan baik (Level 3). Siswa dengan kategori KAM rendah (15%) hanya mampu menyelesaikan soal rutin (level 1).Kata Kunci: Kemampuan awal matematis, kemampuan literasi matematis, deskriptif kualitatif. Analysis of Mathematical Literacy Ability of Students  AbstractDemands on the ability of students in mathematics cannot just have the ability to count alone, but they can use it in solving everyday problems. This study aims to analyze the mathematical literacy ability of students at grade XI of SMAN 1 Kediri. The research method used was descriptive qualitative. The research subjects consisted of 6 students from 26 total students in 1 class. This study pays attention to the student's initial mathematical ability (IMA) factor. Based on the results of the study, 19% students who had high IMA could solve routine problems, interpreted problems and solved them with formulas, carried out procedures well, we're able to overcome complex situations and used reasoning in problem-solving, and they were able to work effectively and interpreted representations that were different then connected it to the real world (Level 4). Students who had medium IMA (66%) were able to solve routine problems, interpreted problems and solved them with formulas, and carried out procedures well (Level 3). While students who had low IMA (15%) were only able to solve routine problems (level 1).Keyword:
